Covenant Care - St. Teresa Place

Rooms are a good size. The dining area is a good size. The staff are never around when you need them. Or they are not willing to help. If a resident soils themselves within an hour of shift change, they leave them in it. The doctors will just order random, useless tests for the residents. Patient care in a medical facility is not their goal.

My Grandmother now calls St. Teresa Place by Covenant Care Home.

****I want to give a huge huge to SAM! Their maintenance man. We had huge issues with Telus hooking up cable for my Grandma’s TV. SAM was so helpful and had so many answers! I truly appreciate his care for my grandma as well as his prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable help with our issues with telus

- The nurses and support staff are wonderful with her as well as our family.
- The have helped ensure that her transition there was smooth for her as well as the rest of our family.
- The nursing staff has been helpful with any of our concerns.

The only reason this doesn’t get 5* is because of the difficulties at certain time being able to enter the building as there is not someone at reception later on in the evening. Which makes entry into the building to visit difficult. As well as the 7pm visiting hr cut off. Being that some people are night owls (My grandma and myself among them).

My mother in law Jeanie, just passed away at St. Teresa's a month ago. She had been there 4 years. We never doubted the love and care she received from the beautiful staff on 2W and the other staff that worked with her. We will forever be grateful for her wonderful care.

We had our father in St. Teresa and we loved this home! The care was amazing! All staff when you walked in the doors to the unit were amazing. You felt like a big part of the LTL family.
We the family can not thank you enough for our fathers care!

For the amazing support you have offered to the staffs, especially during this time when the world is faced with such deadly pandemic (covid-19). Thank you so much for going beyond and above to keep our residents safe. Thank you team #stpstrong

Having lived here and been abused till some training or oversite is put in place it's a poorvpkace to be

December 6 the heat went out at 4: 30pm the staff didn't call maintenance or management, I got a call from my mom and dad the next morning at 11am and had to bring them to my home. The heat wasn't fixed until Monday Evening and no space heaters were placed in the 10 suites effected. January 15 I get a call from mom the heat is out again and has been since 1am, when I phoned the staff she tells me maitenance can't be called until 7am. This is very upsetting with my dad in the ICU unit. This is the second time I have had to call AHS Protection for Persons In Care.

I lost a love one at this facility due to the medical staff lack of knowledge and inability to listen to the family concerns. I trusted them. Also, the nurse manager Suman is not a good manager and lack compassion. She treats your love one as a palliative care patient (death bed) and questions you when you want medical treatment.

If Staff dont like you they work hard to move you out, Management is actually the main problem. Please dont send your loved one here. Staff mistreat and ignore patient care. I'm sure they are in violation of patient care policies. Safety is an issue as well.

Staff are friendly. But the day I visited there was no receptionist. Warm and cozy please for elders. Food and chapel available in the building, etc.

My sister and her husband moved into St. Teresa Pllace one month ago. She is SL4 and they both have a mental disability. They are in a couples room that is very spacious, bright and kept clean by the staff. They enjoy the meals and they are making friends with other residents. I can call at any time if I have a question for the staff. The staff is friendly and helpful to them and family. I feel they are well taken care of, they are in a clean and safe environment and very happy they are there. Thank you St. Teresa.
