If I could give a 10 star review I would!

I had an amazing experience in purchasing my forever home thanks to Jared Keehn (sales manager at Rivers Edge show homes). I appreciated how Jared took the time to listen to my wants and needs in finding my forever home. He provided exceptional customer service by responding to all my inquires promptly and validating any queries I had.
Jared conducts himself with such integrity, commitment, and passion. He is knowledgeable about Coventry products, as well as the competition which is vital in making informed decisions when making the largest purchase.
It is evident in his professionalism and dedication to his job that he treats his clients as if he were the owner of the company. My satisfaction and happiness with my purchase was his top priority.
There is a warmth and friendliness with Jared that I felt like family. Every interaction with Jared was positive and I knew I made the right decision by choosing Coventry over the other builders.
I highly recommend choosing Coventry and go see Jared to assist you in finding your forever home! You will see the difference in the quality of their homes and you will not be treated like a job# once the deal is done.
Jared Keehn goes above and beyond for his clients and it was apparent he was appreciative of my business by the excellent customer service I received!

I initially appreciated the humor provided by this company, hence the one star. However, following my earlier review today, it appears that Coventry is no longer willing to collaborate with us to address the issues we've encountered. This experience has led me to believe that this is among the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I strongly advise staying away from this company. I'm disappointed in the lack of resolution and hope that others do not have to endure a similar experience.

Several months ago we made our interior selections at Choices with McKenzie. McKenzie has impeccable taste, extensive knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Thorough, thoughtful, organized, helpful, personable, and kind are a few words I’d use to describe McKenzie. Customer connection and satisfaction are her top priority. McKenzie is a gem and working with the design team was a total treat!

Matthew H.was the Site Supervisor for the majority of our build. If you choose to build with Coventry Homes, you’ll be so fortunate to have Matt as your Site Supervisor! Matt is knowledgeable, capable, friendly, and detail-oriented. It’s clear that Matt takes great pride in his work and that he cares about not only the homes he oversees but also his clients’ happiness. Building a custom home can be stressful but Matt helped make the process more enjoyable. Matt’s patience, expertise, and care have been so appreciated by my family.

When choosing to build a custom home with Coventry Homes, we thoroughly researched reviews, and we regret not heeding the warnings. Our experience has been overwhelmingly stressful, frustrating, and disheartening. Nearly everyone we've spoken to who built with Coventry shares similar sentiments. Although Coventry Homes is considered a reputable home builder and a preferred choice of the Edmonton Oilers (which still surprises us), sadly, this is no longer the reality. Below are examples of Coventry Homes' subpar service:

1. High Staff Turnover: Due to underlying issues with higher management (Google it), at least 5 staff members we were dealing with left the company. They were replaced by newcomers lacking the necessary expertise for our home build. This transition significantly hindered effective communication, knowledge dissemination, and overall competence.

2. Poor Quality of Trades and Negligence: During pre-possession, we noted the wrong kitchen sink was installed. It took Coventry 5 months to acknowledge the error. By then, our chosen sink was no longer available, and the replacement would take another 6 months. Additionally, we faced issues with the drain, as it would not keep water in the sink when plugged. Apparently, if you order a Blanco sink, don’t expect it to come with a Blanco drain assembly, according to the plumbing company, Jetco. Jetco claimed that to change the drain assembly to a Blanco one, it would be an upgrade for ‘aesthetics, ’ even though we all know a drain assembly is a functional part. We contacted Blanco ourselves, who confirmed that ALL Blanco sinks ordered in Canada come with a drain assembly and sent us a pair of drain assemblies, FREE OF CHARGE. Nevertheless, Jetco refused to install it for us, and of course, Coventry does not advocate for their clients whatsoever.

Additionally, Kitchen Craft failed to install the stealth brackets for our kitchen island, which we had paid for, deeming the brackets ‘unnecessary’. No one notified us, despite Coventry indicating the brackets were REQUIRED.

3. Crooked Sales Tactics: During the custom build process, a $2500 drafting fee is required. Yet, this fee was mysteriously removed from our statement. Fortunately, we caught this, and Coventry quickly added it back after providing an unsatisfactory explanation.

Furthermore, our utility room layout was completely altered due to incorrect placement of the sump pump by the trades. We were pressured by Antonius Magureanu, Sales Manager, to sign an addendum accepting the change. Subsequently, when we added a sub-panel to our garage, the trades utilized and added home breakers to the sub-panel for the garage without consent.

To err on the side of caution, we added a rain gutter grate in the event that a downspout would be needed at our front entry step. We were assured by Antonius Magureanu and Mark Rodier, General Manager, that we would have a meeting before the eavestrough was installed. When Mark looked at our plans, he agreed that it could be rerouted, and the grate would be unnecessary. However, when we saw that the eavestrough was about to go in, we contacted Coventry immediately and asked when we were going to have a meeting. Mark said that it wasn’t going to happen and that we would have to deal with it.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Coventry Homes to anyone unless they wish to have a disappointing and stressful experience. A home purchase is a person’s entire life savings, and Coventry lacks the professionalism, competence, attention to detail, and compassion for their clients. It is disconcerting to witness a company whose reputation once stood high, now failing to meet even the most basic standards of customer satisfaction. We eagerly await the day we are no longer associated with Coventry Homes.

I purchased my first home from Impact Homes this summer. Najla Hammoud was the area sales rep that helped my agent and I find the place we were looking for. She was very patient, answered all my questions, was transparent throughout the process and definitely went above and beyond. There was a couple hitches but she was very accommodating and ultimately without her the deal wouldn’t have went through. So far the after care has been amazing. I would definitely recommend Najla H.and Coventry/Impact Homes to my friends and family!

Rachel and Carolyn were very accommodating and responded to inquiries in a timely manner.

Some miscommunications were disappointing.

Very pleased with home

It's really too bad that you are forced to give 1 star. If I could I'd give Coventry Homes no stars. We have had nothing but issues with them. If our opinion matters at all, AVOID COVENTRY HOMES AT ALL COSTS. From Day 1, they were unwilling to negotiate on anything regarding the house. We had to fight to get a cable jack put in on the main floor! They had to send guys multiple times to fix the same issues. We have had heating issues since we took possession back in 2020. The back bedrooms were not receiving any heat and were multiple degrees cooler than everywhere else in the house. We have had the heating company in 4-5 times with no resolution. Our newborn was freezing in the winter, thus making us purchase a big heater to keep the room at an acceptable temperature. To this day we are still having these issues. We were just told that our "house is out of warranty. " Which essentially means we didn't fix our original issue and that you are on your own for an issue that has lasted the entire duration of us owning the place. On top of the MANY other issues, the concrete in our garage has completely worn down along the seal of the garage door and Coventry had the audacity without proof to accuse my wife and I of not shoveling or maintaining the driveway/garage area in the winter. We were told by one of their sub contractors that it was broken down by a different reason entirely. I could literally type an essay with the list of issues we have had but I won't. If you are looking for a house put together by poor craftsmanship, have many unresolved issues, enjoy next to no communication with your new home care advisor/upper management, and like being accused of not maintaining your property, then these are your guys. Do NOT build with Coventry Homes. Save the headache/money and build with literally anybody else. On top of it all now having structural issues. Not even 3 years old.

My experience with the Sales Associate for Coventry (Carolyn) and Area Manager (Rachel) was excellent. Both were responsive and pleasant. My only comment for improvement for anyone in new home sales is that if there are changes to the plans for the house, which I'm sure happens frequently, all sales associates should have information, pictures, etc.and know more about the actual change so that when customers ask questions they can be addressed immediately.

The team at Coventry homes was phenomenal. We got our house in June and we moved from Ontario so everything was done virtually. Kang and Robert were phenomenal in their communication and made sure things were getting done on time as we were not there to see for ourselves. We had such a pleasant experience, and would highly recommend Coventry homes for anyone looking for a new house. I cannot say enough about how great Kang and Robert were and our site supervisor was also phenomenal even after the closing there’s still taking care of any questions we have 10/10 stars.you won’t get customer satisfaction like this from anywhere else!

I took possession 14 Aug 23 and very excited to have picked Coventry to build my house in Edmonton. Jade and her team helped me throughout the process and was always helpful and responsive to any questions I had. Jade was very friendly and professional. I had an excellent experience with the build process and strongly recommend.

New home purchase, overall the home hasn't had any major issues to date (>15 months living in home at the time of this review). As a Coventry home owner we are obviously happy with the design and finish choices that went into the home.

The largest known home issue to date, it took me, a first time home owner to notice the HRV ducts were incorrectly routed, so the home was recirculating bathroom air throughout the home rather than exhausting it outside. This lead to extremely high humidity readings inside the home and could have potentially led to more serious issues if left unremedied. While this would have been caused by a subcontracted trades installation error, and it was fixed not long after reporting the problem, it certainly raises quality control issues from the builder. I'd expect an experienced home builder to notice issues like this prior to a first time home owner diagnosing the problem.

Secondly, the builder stated they would provide us rear exterior stairs as the home only had temporary stairs installed. This is both listed in a legal document outlining holdback funds between our lawyer and the builders legal representation and was confirmed to be scheduled by the builder (in emails and on the builders' online portal). After following up with Coventry to see when the work would be completed, a Coventry staff member stated it was their error and Coventry would not be honoring this agreement as the stairs were not included on the original home drawings. Why they would choose to renege on this work post-agreement is beyond me, but prospective buyers should be wary that the builder may not honor written agreements. This is admittedly a minor item in the overall scheme of home ownership, however it documents Coventry's lack of commitment to what they agree to do and prospective buyers should consider this prior to finalizing any transactions with them. For larger concerns, ensure your lawyer is confident you're covered with the terms of any agreement (s).

Lastly, we felt more concern was given by subcontract trades than Coventry with regards to a backflow valve access issue. The valve was not accessible at and was covered in sub slab gravel. Not having access means the valve cannot be cleaned/maintained/inspected per the manufacturers recommendations. Coventry was rather cavalier about this, so much so that I had to raise the issue twice. However, the subcontract trades person who attended our home was genuinely concerned, stated it should not be that way, and provided options to remedy the situation. The subcontractor made things right and earned any future business where I may require their service as a result.

This review is providing 3 stars due to our overall satisfaction with the home itself, and Coventry's in-house trades folks who come by at the 6 month and 1 year 'trades days'. All were very professional, personable, competent, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. They made all necessary fixes they were responsible for (door adjustments, drywall fixes, paint touch ups, etc.), are great to chat with, and give little tips that new home owners appreciate. These folks are the front line Coventry employees home owners will deal with, and they are greatly contributing to Coventry's reputation. One can only hope they are compensated accordingly as Coventry's corporate side is lacking.

Overall our home has no major issues to date, but I call into doubt Coventry's commitment to what they agree to do and their quality control processes, which is an alarming statement given a home purchase is likely the largest amount of money most people will spend on a single item in their lifetime.

There are so many positive things we can say about Rachel and Zeina and our experience working with them.

Firstly, their level of dedication is unmatched. They are intentional, open-minded listeners and found ways to get our ideas fulfilled while keeping in mind multiple factors. We appreciate their unmatched, flexible, committed availability.

Secondly, their level of knowledge. They can think of so many factors simultaneously to help streamline the home building processes. When meeting them, we had so much peace because they really know what they need to know and then do the work to want to know more. They pair being resourceful with critical thinking to the highest standard.

Thirdly, their relatability. They take time to understand your life, personality, and preferences. Then, are able to offer ideas most haven’t thought of that are so phenomenally creative. They deliver ideas so gracefully. We knew we were really understood and cared for. This is highly valuable, unique trait and we appreciate this immensely.

When choosing a builder, we not only looked at floor designs, history of the builder, and building logistics but also our ability to match and work well with the builders’ representatives. Without any hesitation, we knew we could trust in, feel confident in, enjoy our home building experience with Rachel and Zeina. We were pleasantly surprised by their level of dedication, knowledge, relatability. So surprised that it got us to a point where we could really trust them with each upcoming step. We highly recommend meeting them and working with them!

400k on a new home and this is what I get. They won’t return my calls or do anything about it.

Floors in the home coming apart. Kitchen sink is falling apart. Shop elsewhere.

Peter Battochio was excellent to deal with! We purchased our home in Ardrossan with nothing but good things to say about the experience, thank you for the welcome home gift too Peter!

This is the way a home buying experience should go! Our sales manager, Jared Keehn, was upfront from the get go and was truly on our side to get a deal done. Jared met us with excitement, and is a genuine individual. This was a 4 month process as we had to sell our existing home. Jared stayed in touch the whole time with consistent touch bases to keep us informed on the prospective house we were looking at. Jared is absolutely the guy! Go meet him at the Coventry Nouveau show home in St. Albert if you are in the market for a new home (tell him that LANDON sent you!)

The walkthroughs were meticulous and things were as promised on possession day

A massive thank-you to Jared Keehn and the other wonderful folks at Coventry as well. My wife and I are extremely excited to be in our new home.

My wife and I just moved a few months ago to our Coventry home. From the beginning until now we didn't have any issue even when the lady was dealing with us left I went to the show home and Vanja and Amritta helped us with any question or concern we had. Glad we chose Coventry but even more glad that this company has people like them helping us customers.

In the first quarter of 2022 Myself, my wife were looking for builder who can accommodate and build our home based on our custom requirements. Most of the builders would either deny to change design or would charge exponentially for little change. Then we fortunately met Vanja at Laurel Coventry Show Home. From the day 1 we were very pleased and impressed by the
way Vanja treated us, listened carefully to our requirements and made us feel comfortable. He even went above and beyond in helping out with mortgage by recommending builder mortgage brokers. Fortunately everything fit in our budget and here we are June 2023 in our dream home. Each and every corner of the home were changed by us and million thanks to Vanja for allowing our custom requirements and thanks to his expertise and great suggestions on our selections from design to colors. We have little one added to the family and Vanja has been with us through out the process. He has become one of our family and if it wasn't the area sales manager at the time of our home search, probably we would have pass on to Coventry Homes like other builders. Jessica and Amber also helped us with documentation and with appointments when Vanja was out of station and I love the way they are and I wonder how they maintain their calmness even when they're super busy. They were quick in response and super friendly. At the end Josh turned out to be one of the experienced person in his field and really helped us in walking through our home and provided his suggestions for home maintenance. He's a rock star. Can't thank enough and Coventry Homes must keep their greatest treasures like Vanja and Josh. I have already started recommending my friends and family Coventry Homes. I thank Vanja and Josh whole heartedly and wish them all the best for their future endeavors and also thanking and wishing Coventry Homes to be what they are and continue their contributions to the society and reach their milestones in each and every corner of the city.

We had the privilege of working with Carolyn Collin during the construction of my new home at Coventry, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with her professionalism, dedication, and expertise. From our first meeting until the final walk-through, Carolyn consistently went above and beyond to ensure highest level of customer service

Though she recently joined Coventry, she tooks the time to truly understand our needs and preferences. She patiently answered all my questions, providing valuable insights that helped me make informed decisions.

What truly impressed me was Carolyn's unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. She was always available, promptly addressing any concerns or issues that arose. Her friendly and approachable demeanor made me feel supported throughout the entire process, fostering a sense of trust and confidence.

I wholeheartedly recommend Carolyn Collin to anyone seeking a salesperson who is not only knowledgeable and skilled but also genuinely cares about making dreams come true. She has left an indelible impression on me, and I am grateful for her invaluable contribution to the successful completion of my home at Coventry.
