COWS Banff

Great ice cream in the heart of Banff, lots of flavours to choose from. Line-ups in the summertime and evening can get very busy, but it generally moves quickly. They also have a store for Cows merch (t-shirts, pants, bears, caps).

Ice cream lover (me) recommended! Crispy cone and strawberry ice cream, not too sweet but with nice smell of strawberry. I believe it was made of real strawberry! Good to have it if visit Banff. Get one scoop of ice cream in one of the most beautiful mountains!

Lots of fun cow related merchandise that is reasonably priced. The ice cream was very good and more than reasonably priced. Fast service on a Thursday evening when we visited. Would definitely go back! A+

Disappointed not the best we have ever had. Mine had ice crystals not many.
Had apple pie, a coffee one, gooey (nicest) and New York cheese cake least flavour

Tempted in after seeing the long lines on another day, which we took to be a good sign. Good selection and the ice cream was tasty, with peanut butter cup cup and chocolate orange being the stars from those we tried. The waffle cones are made in house, and my only complaint is that the smell of these cooking was overpowering, to the point I'd have struggled to stay in there if the queue had moved slower.

Ice cream was good, but you don't get much for an $8 two scoop. I preferred Beavertails for a sweet treat.

I was so excited about this looking at long queues every day. The long queue is completely misleading. The ice creams are below average. The waffle cones are very hard.

There was a blonde lady, she literally closed the door on our face without even telling us that they are closed. She was standing there for next 10 minutes. Zero customer service. I have never seen anybody that much rude!

Amazing Icecream. Initially I thought getting in a long line up wasnt worth it but I was so wrong. This is a must try. Not all the flavours are good but you wont know it until you try to see which one you like the most.

I was there yesterday with my family. We saw the ice-cream scoops for sale in their store and inquired if we could open and check the quality before we buy and we got a straight 'no' for an answer. I wanted to walk the heck out of the store but my mom really liked the scoops and wanted to buy more than a dozen to gift her friends. When I told the girl the quantity I wanted to buy and that I won't buy it without checking the quality, she stated I can open it only if I were to buy it. I ended up buying them because my mom's heart was set on it.
By the way, all this for a box which was not even seal packed or taped.
The girl on the till was absolutely rude and unwelcoming. We felt really uncomfortable in the store. I hope it was not a racist incident but just a mannerless staff member.
I hope the company takes such condescending behaviours seriously. Especially, if their business depends in tourists.

We went back later that day to buy more scoops and the other girl who attended us was friendly and welcoming. So, I understand that it's not their business culture. But, I still hold them accountable for their staff's behaviour

Udderly disappointing. The people that are giving this anymore than 2 stars must be either 5 years old or have no taste. Waffle cones are cheap wafers in disguise. Numerous flavours but little taste, no wonder they don't give samples. Hot tip - get a flavour riddled with caramel sauce, at least that will have some taste to it. Don't be fooled by the lines, it's just sheep following the herd. Walk up the road to beavertails instead.
