Rob H. (who I spoke to) was very helpful & took the time to answer all of my questions. He helped to make sure that my helmet fit perfectly & encouraged me to try on the knee pads that I bought. I feel a lot more confident riding now & will definitely be back for my future bike needs.: D
The GOOD - The sales manager Nathan Hansen was awesome. He provided superior customer service. I can't say enough good things about the service he provided. If he was in control of the entire business this would have been a glowing 5-star review.
The BAD - The bike mechanical service from this shop was horrible. The initial setup of the bike I purchased was either not done or done wrong. The battery would not come out. The wheels were on so tight I needed to stand on a torque wrench to get wheels off. The tire pressure, rear and front shock pressure were not set, and the handlebar setup had bare wires sticking into the grip.after 144 kms the bike started to make clicking noise. I took bike in and was told it was a cable stretching issue, I said ok and returned in a hour.when I returned the service manager told me there were bolts on the bike that were close to stripped on a brand-new e-bike worth over $8k. I told her to replace them under warranty she said no and implied I stripped the bolts. These bolts were stripped by TREK or her team as I never touched the bolts in the 2 weeks that I owned the bike. Later I asked for an apology and the 2 bolts replaced. The service manager would do neither, so I returned the bike. The service manager lost the company an $8k sale for the price of 2 bolts.
IMO she has some authority in the shop higher than the sales manager as Nathan had to stay out of the conversation with the service manager and I. The Sales Manager should be running the shop. I recommend never getting any mechanical bike work done at this shop.
Nathan, to re-iterate you truly understand customer service. I wish you all the best.
I ordered a bike online, after having a long search, most places did not sell what I wanted, or had no inventory. Cranky’s had what I wanted, got it ready for me in their stated time window, and were very organized at the shop at pick up time. A friendly, professional, and well stocked bike shop.
Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Rob listened to my need and how i will be using my bike, and had recommended me to the one that i really need, rather than some bikes that r more expensive. I will come back to buy bikes for my kids and other accessories from him.
The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Looked like a great selection of mountain bikes and kids bikes as well as accessories. Highly recommend for the service!
I went there to replace my bike chain and for $40 I was out 15 minutes later with the chain installed. The staff member who helped me answered all my questions and was very helpful.
Riverbend is fortunate to have a great bike shop like this in the area. The attentive staff are knowledgeable and there's a service department too, which I've come to several times straight from a ride. They have high quality parts and while I have not purchased a bike there, my wife has and she's had a great experience with it. Definitely recommended.
