Crate and Barrel

First time in the store today. The staff were exceptionally helpful and super friendly! Lots of great products to choose from. I just moved so I needed some things for my new place! It is a little pricey on some things, so I'm glad I had a gift card to use today.

Extremely unwelcoming staff and environment if you are young and don’t look like you are going to make a purchase. Very short and rude remarks.

I placed a pickup order through this store and the process was so incredibly seamless, efficient, fast…I would highly, highly recommend. And of course their products are the best.

This is always a great experience regardless of which Crate and Barrel I've visited.

As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. The staff here were fantastic for the most part - helpful, friendly and professional.

Beautiful store with beautiful merchandise. Everything is overpriced. I had to get my glasses out as I thought I was seeing double ones on the tag of a sofa priced at over $11000.

Amazing service by Stephanie. I had never had an experience at this place like yesterday. Allow me to explain. I broke a wine glass and needed to replace it. Online, it shows the style has been discontinued and there were only 2 left (of a different size). Still I decided to give it a try and went there. After walking the whole glassware section, I asked a lady for help. OMG, I was floored with her help. After digging in her tablet she said there was one left in the warehouse (the size I needed), but because it had been discontinued, it may as well be a discrepancy. Not only she checked the warehouse, she told me if there were none, she would try to find one and have it shipped to me. Lo and behold, the warehouse guy showed up with the last glass of the style and size I needed. Hard to express how much that kind of service is appreciate it, Stephanie not only went out her way to make sure I got what I needed; she also showed amazing customer service and she is a very nice, cordial person.
I was so reluctant to go there because my usual experience there is of dismissive employees but she proved me wrong.big THANKS!

Found the perfect indoor plant online only to see that it can only be purchased online with a $200+ shipping fee. Called the store to see what can be done and spoke to Maggie. She helped in arranging a pick up directly from the warehouse in Calgary to bypass the shipping fee! Thank you Maggie!

Love the quality products that Crate and Barrel sell … Shopping here is always a great experience … The associates ask you if you need help but never smother you … They go above and beyond by doing things that aren’t expected like walk things out to your car HAPPILY. Can’t wait for my next monthly shopping trip online or in store Thank you

It has been about 6 weeks with our new couches that took approximately 8 months to arrive. We purchased both the Gather regular depth full size sofa and an apartment size sofa due to space restrictions. I am quite disappointed that the 4 toss cushions came king size and surely were meant for the deep version of these couches. They looked so ridiculous and were totally uncomfortable and in order to sit on the smaller couch they had to be put on the floor. I had them revised to half the size and put down filled pillows in them, which makes the sofas look nicer and they are a little more comfortable. The back cushions are not all sewn straight, nor are they comfortable, which I don't understand, as they are mass produced I'm assuming by the wait time. The "upgraded" fabric I ordered has already stretched where both my husband (170 lbs) and I sit (125 lbs). We are not large people. It appears they will be very sloppy soon.

I am somewhat disappointed in the lack of customer service. After spending quite a lot of money and waiting the 8 months for furniture that is fairly average, I did not ever receive a call asking how my experience was, or if I was happy with my purchase.

I used Crate & Barrel as my niece and a few friends have similar furniture (same style but different configurations) that seems to be of much better quality and certainly more comfortable. These couches in my opinion are definitely not made with the same internal material. They are fine and we will live with them but sadly we do not love them, however, I do like the look. If my husband had his way, they would be for sale. I feel very defeated as this is our second attempt at good quality "custom" furniture.

As you know now by reading this, I am not overly thrilled with this purchase for the price and time. Thank you for reading. SB

Love the aesthetics and the items! However, the customer services at Calgary location could be improved for sure. Went there to pick up a store issued gift card and was told the card was no where to be found although they can see the sales history and “There is NOTHING we can do” so I was told. I am not sure why I was called and left a message to let me know that there is a card waiting for me in the store but it is not actually there and there is absolutely nothing can be done? ! Then when I asked how long will it take to get another one issued and was told vaguely “ IT WILL BE A WHILE” said the MOD.
There was ZERO acknowledgement/compassion from this lady at all, none of the answers were helpful or make me feel appreciated as a customer!
Crate & Barrel, you can do better!

It's a fine store, but a wee bit above my pay grade. There is lovely stuff to look at; there are things I would buy if I had the mad money for them. It's been a long time since I've been inside, so I don't have any opinions on the staff or service. Check it out when next you're in Southcentre Mall.

This was a disgusting in store experience for a very good customer. Discrimination and a rude employee. Will no longer be spending my money with this company.

We have been customers for years. Unfortunately the atrocious customer service and declining product quality has us shopping elsewhere. There are better options with significantly better customer service.

We enjoyed window shopping here. All staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I like their stuff but a little pricey for me. (personally, maybe not for others) my girls found their name of Christmas ornaments. Pretty nice and looks fancy so I paid for them.

Went into the store and all of the staff were talking to each other and didn't even come over to help me. They proceeded to look at me several times and ignored me completely. I went into the store planning on making a large furniture purchase and walked out empty handed as a result of this terrible customer service.

Went directly to the store in order to feel and see furniture we wanted to order for our new home and were denied entrance with a mask exemption. Went later in the evening so that the store would be empty (and it was). Hard to purchase many large ticket items without touching the fabric, etc so cannot do so solely online. The staff member was polite, as was I, however if the bylaw will not be followed I am more than happy to furnish my home at Showhome Furniture. Hopefully the staff felt much safer once I left the doorway.

Bought a coffee table online and it arrived scratched. Went to the store to see about it. They said to contact online people. What?
Also… bought some things while I was there and packed them in bags myself… while three nearby staff members were petting a dog.
Service is horrifying.

More for those who love rustic deco or wooden oriented style. Other than that, great place for home deco

Friendly and helpful staff, but they let you do your own shopping which is nice. Super beautiful products.

I have always been a big fan of the product in this store but I must express my utter dismay at the abysmal level of customer service I have encountered recently in trying to have a simple refund issued. I have repeatedly been referred back and forth between the online customer service center and the retail outlet with neither party willing to do anything to address my very simple request that they investigate a refund that they say was issued and that I have not received. I will absolutely never shop at this store again.

Staff are friendly and very helpful - I recently had a complicated order and even though it was a Final Sale, they were very willing to accommodate changes after the fact and helped to save me time and money in getting a special package out to my sister. Thank you so much for making this so seamless, it is very appreciated.

They sell over priced things that are of questionable quality. Who pays 50 bucks for a Christmas stocking. Robbery

This is a warning to anyone that is thinking about purchasing furniture from Crate and Barrel. I purchased a Crate and Barrel dining table a few years ago, trusting that I was purchasing a high quality, durable and safe table that would be superior to other furniture stores. We moved this weekend and found out that the legs are held together with ONLY dowels and glue! See photo. The dowel was basically disintegrated and was crumbling and the leg fell off. There was no screw in there to secure the leg in. I called the store but they basically said that furniture breaks down with time like a car would and there was nothing they could do. I’ve had furniture from Ikea that lasted longer than this and survived two moves. So if you are looking for furniture that looks good but has safety/quality issues for a premium price, Crate and Barrel is your store.
