I love this store and would give a 4/5 on most days however today I feel I got scammed.

A furniture had two prices on it, $120 and $100. Employee confirmed that the manager asked to rise the price an hour ago. Despite the furniture showing both price tags, I was charged the highest one. I think today they overpassed the limit of what a store can legally do.

For a place that has everything donated they sure ask a pretty price for everything. I thought Value Village was robbery, boy was I wrong. Seen a $4 Walmart shirt there for $7.

I visited this store on March 16,2023. It was clean, very well organized and stocked with a huge variety of nice secondhand items to peruse. Staff seemed friendly enough during my time there. PRICING though…seemed OUT TO LUNCH on DONATED mostly USED wares hence the loss of 3 stars.

Researching prices on EBay, ETSY, etc.seems reasonable enough, but then turning around and charging ~50% of that price is ridiculous especially if the most important part of the research isn’t done to see whether or not those items actually SOLD on those sites and sold for those prices. Many items were tagged ‘EBay’ price & ‘you pay’ price. Kind of appears like a justification for overcharging on generously gifted merchandise…

After the miscalculation of thinking I was going into an actual thrift store, I begrudgingly found and bought a couple of cute, overpriced decor pieces that I didn’t need but couldn’t seem to talk myself out of. And leaving there mostly bummed out, I knew that that would be the last time I would be going there for a while.

Takeaway…Crossway Community Thrift sells donated secondhand stuff at non-thrift prices. It’s nudging up against Winners & HomeSense retail for sure. Perhaps a business name change is in order? At least then shoppers will have a better idea of what they’re getting themselves into.

It's a little expensive for a used product. But there are various products. It's fun to watch.

Amazing selection. The most selection I've seen in a thrift store to date. High-quality used sporting goods, extensive electronics section, big library full of books, videos, CDs, and vinyls, plenty of homewares, furniture. It was staggering. Highly recommend.

Just letting anyone know that if you go in with a backpack they'll assume you're a shoplifter. My friend and I went and the person at the counter made it known to everyone. Felt pretty embarrassing to be treated like a thief upon entering. I suggest the next time this happens maybe be more discreet.

I visited this place about a year ago. Nice place, with good merchandise and ok pricing. I was able to purchase items that were not exactly 'thrift pricing', but still manageable.
Just went again today.and what a huge letdown. It felt like an expensive consignment store. Pricing was through the roof! And to add insult to injury they would write 'suggested retail is ', then their price, which could be anywhere from half that cost to a third of the retail.
Why? This enterprise is supposed to 'help' people, not profit from them. It's the foundation behind people agreeing to donate in the first place.to help their fellow 'community' members.
Save your donations for Value Village, at least there you know they are their to profit from society's excess, and not mislead you into thinking you are doing good. Complete waste of gas driving out here.

Greedy store who claim to be helping the « community ». After years of bringing donations I decided to finally stop and give to another charity program. The prices are out of control for stuff people donated. Also if you ever go in with a backpack they will target you as a shoplifter. Do not recommend this store anymore!

Great thrift shop. Visit often to get the best stuff. They now have a separate shop for clothing next door. Oh, and they have multiple seacans out back to collect and store seasonal items, like all the Christmas decorations they have now.or ski/board equipment

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was willing to pay the ever increasing prices because I was happy to support a living wage for the employees. However on Friday the 21st I bought a lockable filling cabinet and I tried to return it on wensday the 26th because the lock didn't work. I will admit to having lost the receipt but the staff were unbelievably unhelpfull when I tried to return it. The store had only been open 2 days since I had initially purchased it (they are closed Sunday and Monday) and it still had the original price tag attached. I wasn't expecting a refund but would have gladly accepted a store credit. However the only option I was given was to exchange it for another item in the furniture section of the store right then and there, despite the fact that they had no filling cabinets at the moment; I was told this "deal" would be for today only and I would have to pick an item to exchange if I wanted any credit what so ever. For a buisness who claims to be for the comunity the complete lack of compassion and helpfulness I got due to a "company policy" particularly in these times baffled and saddened me. If you want to buy over priced hard used goods, this is the place. But if you are looking to shop at a THRIFT store due to your financial situation, don't shop here. I personally will never return, and I will be finding annother company to donate my lightly used goods too.

Lost a couple stars for batty price setting these days. Such a shame the prices they set for very old very user items just encourage you to buy new! So strange.

Credit where credit is due I hear they pay well and the store is often undertaking improvements!
