Came here to see a play in the studio, but the restored building overall is super cool, lots of interesting art up on the walls, and you're free to wander around
I had an exceptional experience hosting our corporate holiday party at this venue! The Treehouse and the 4th floor hallway provided the perfect backdrop for a holiday event. The rental rates are reasonable, and the Treehouse's functional layout made everything flow seamlessly. The ambient lighting in the room added a touch of sparkle to our evening event, plus the stunning city views from the large windows were impressive. There is ample street parking in the area, it's centrally located and it's a beautiful building that many people have never had a chance to visit. There is also a beautiful gift shop - Alberta Craft Gallery, they stayed open late to allow our guests to do some holiday shopping. CSpace is a wonderful location for a corporate event.
What a cool place! So many awesome art installations. And then each floor has its own exhibit, while offering cool little shops throughout. Highly recommend going to check out.
Fabulous arts hub! There’s a small theatre, lots of artistic organizations and a gallery. The whole building is magical. In my opinion one if the most beautiful buildings in Calgary.
The place is brimming with creativity, there are installations, sewing classes and even a daycare.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat there’s also a small but delicious Mexican restaurant on the ground floor.
Great venue, incredible people. The theatre is top of the line, and a joy to work in. The staff is approachable and very helpful with making sure you are cared for.
Love this place! Great feel! Interesting art in halls. Alberta Craft has a phenomenal selection of fine craft, Many other fabulous studios! A treat to visit!
Not often can you find a place where both the physical location speaks as loudly as the quality of the staff.cSPACE is such an amazing confluence of arts, culture, people, and history. I see it as an example of what true redemptive placemaking looks like and am so proud of Deeter and the team for continuing to live this out.
Thank you for hosting us at cSPACE! Such a great place for workshops and events. But even more than the space itself is the incredible staff making it all happen!
Great place, very nice for anenue, top notch high end. Washrooms were very clean, love the room and the location. Enough free parking and in the middle of a very chick area. There is an outlet for electric cars too. U can have an event outside as well!
I'm taking French at Alliance Francaise here. There are a diversity of businesses here, that all look very interesting. I love the way that the old school has been restored but yet the school structure has been allowed to be part of the modern design. There are days that I find parking difficult.
Great space for arts, cultural events and classes. Have attended several events from Casa Mexico that shares and celebrates Mexican culture and traditions. Also attended the Festival of Animated Objects (puppets). Beautiful place to walk around in the vibrant neighborhood of Marda Loop.
The Alzheimer Society of Calgary held our art show at cSpace. The experience was top notch from beginning to end. This is a wonderful place to host your event.
We couldn't find this at first (construction) but we were so pleasantly surprised by how interesting and inviting it was on the inside. We were there for a local CSIF Film Festival.
A hub of creativity. This old sandstone school had been converted into an arts centre that is home to countless arts organizations. Everything from French classes to theatre to craft store to art sales. They also host a community farmers market.
On Saturdays between 10: 00 and 1: 00, there is a farmer's market at cSpace. It is really neat, there are a few vendors with produce. There are many vendors with their specialty food and drink creations, and some non food as well. The atmosphere is very friendly, and the space is amazing with all of the art. If you like farmer's markets, it's worth checking out.
Such a great place to check out art, find a unique gift and hang out with coffee. From Shona Rae's Blackboard Gallery with amazing one of a kind jewellery to the Alberta Craft Council's Gallery and shop spaces, there is always something new to see and enjoy.
Attended a Cowtown Opera production here and it's a great little venue! Intimate theatre, bar servicecas well as a small coffee shop. Will definitely attend future productions here. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that parking is limited.
