Cutting Edge Barber Shop - Varsity

I popped in for a quick cut and was well received by a gentleman named Adrian! He was pleasant and easy to converse with. He took his time and cut my hair methodically. He also gave me advice on styling techniques and products that can compliment my hair. Overall, a great experience and the staff are all wonderful. Definitely a place to check out!

My wife has been taking our kids to see Alex and his friendly and professional staff for awhile. She got me a hot shave gift and I have to say Alex did an amazing job, so relaxing and so smooth

The barbers here are very efficient and skilled, especially Sarah she has consistently given me hair cuts that I love with her great talents. The shop has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and I am always happy when I have my hair styled by Sarah.

This Barber shop is just an extension of the first two cutting edge locations. Feels like a classic barber shop, clean, affordable, friendly, and most importantly the haircuts are top notch. If you're in the NW check it out.

I'm from Ontario, only been in Calgary for about 8 or 9 month now was always iffy about goin to a barber shop out here for a beard clean up, finally did wen to Cutting Edge on Varsity, an to be honest I should of went in sooner, got a good vibes from place and the barbers working there, had Adrian hook up with dope shave an beard clean up, very professional, spoke with the owner an Sara very nice people, good vibes all round, I definitely found my new place to go 10

I dont usually write reviews, but this place is my second home. I am a university student which makes the location really convenient for me and the people there including Alex and Sarah are like family to me. Alex has never missed with his haircuts. Ive always left the shop feeling like a new man. Only problem is they dont have a bed for me to sleep on because i would love to move in.

Excellent ownership from Barber Alex who leads a great team & has the highest quality hair/beard products for sale as well.

I came in on a Friday around lunch, quick wait. Alex cut my hair and trimmed my beard. He did a fantastic job! Easily one of the best barbers in the city.

Alex was very friendly and personable. He gave me a great cut and my daughter a lollipop. I am happy to support local family-run businesses such as his.

Noticed that this place has opened up in my community, thought I’d take my son in to give it a try & let me tell you they did not disappoint. Alex (the owner) was extremely friendly and professional, he gave my son the BEST haircut. & afterwards my daughter was so jealous of the hair colour, he even took the time to put some in her hair complimentary! & to top it all off he gave them each a kids hair brush as a gift. Will definitely be letting all our friends and family know about this place. Such An amazing experience my kids faces says it all!

This is not your run-of-the-mill barber shop. Couldn't be happier I found it. It's rare to find someone like Alex who is so passionate about his craft and clients. This is demonstrated not only in the attention to detail in the hair cut itself, including the small touches such as straight blading your sideburns and neckline but also his interpersonal communication and obvious pride in keeping the shop immaculate. The styling and cuts are consistently top notch and Alex was happy to share grooming tips to take home, as well as recommending the appropriate products for my hair type. Alex and his team are seasoned pros. As long as I have hair, I will be coming back!

Beautiful new shop, extremely clean, very friendly. Alex has never given anything less than an amazing hair cut in the 5 years I’ve been going to him. Have stayed with very reasonable prices even with all the inflation. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Alex is one of the greatest barbers I’ve ever encountered, extremely professional. Highly skilled and has amazing attention to detail. I literally travel 45 mins to get here and it’s totally worth it, I would drive hours if I had to.

I got one of the best haircuts in a very long time from these guys, they treated me very professionally. I recommend Alex.
