Service girl jenn was super helpful knowledgeable and got me booked in no problem for service. Sales guy kevin always fun to talk to about the new products coming out and whats in stock at the store. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great selection of power sports clothing and everyday clothes.
Thank you for helping my son with getting his first bike, he just past his driving test yesterday and has started his motorcycle adventure. I'm sure you will see him back when he's ready to upgrade, your place is highly recommended
Worst service! 1st, they did a recall on my motorcycle and after 1,600km, the work they did failed.so now they dont want to cover it on recall warranty.so i decided to order the parts it needs, they told me it will be there within 10 days.i called after 14 days and told me the parts still not there.waited another week and i called them again.they told me one of the parts i ordered is alredy there.and still waiting for the rest.so i drove there to pick up that part, and guess what! Its not there! Now they are telling me all the parts that i ordered is in backed order. Perfect! I waited about a month for nothing! if you are just buying your motorcycle, they are good but after that, its a different story!
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT BRING YOUR BIKE TO BE WORKED ON HERE.this place is an absolute joke, i brought my dirtbike in here 6 weeks ago and they have worked a total of 5 hours on it, very shady on giving any full detail of what is going on.and the front desk has a lot of entitlement and attitude, as i was looking for a part i asked the front for help and they told me to go look for it my self.terrible customer service, terrible mechanic service, over priced. DO NOT GO HERE!
Bought myself a new street bike from this dealership last week and I couldn't be happier with my experience. When I first inquired about it, I got a very prompt response and then when I first decided to purchase the process was incredibly smooth and easy. Drove up there on the weekend, got helped in loading the bike onto the bed of the truck and was off with my new bike. Everyone was exceptionally nice and definitely a place I would recommend.
UPDATE: Came here again! Decided to trade in the bike I originally bought and try something new. I couldn't have been more happier with the correspondence I had with the associates here during my initial inquiry right up to loading my new bike into a trailer and taking it home. I first was talking with Kyle about trading in my bike, and he answered all my questions and kept me apprised, and Kevin was incredibly helpful with the finances and paperwork. The team here at Cycleworks is amazing and helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to bikes. They know what they are talking about, passionate about this hobby, and are here to get you a machine you'll love. I'm based in Calgary and have found the trek up here and back very worthwhile.
Being a new customer to Cycle works red Deer location I was very impressed. Service was excellent and when the piece I was hoping to buy was discontinued, they went to the back and found me a used one that got me out of a bind at no cost. I’ll be back.
The parts guy Wade was clearly strung out on something, could barely even talk. Tried talking to a mechanic in the shop to get the help i needed and got yelled at by Wade, Wade then left to the bathroom about 5 minutes later he came out in a way better mood, was a little more coherent. And a lot more stoned.
Do what you wish with this info. But you need a new service writer, I will not be coming back until he's gone.
Visited this store a few days ago in search of some parts for my bike. I was helped by Kourtney @ the parts desk. She was polite and took her time to find the right parts for me and I left happy. I asked for help to locate another part for my helmet and she went above and beyond to help me. I would highly recommend this store for a great experience.
Worst service department ever, multiple times have called in and gone in to get work done, very rude over the phone and in person. Can’t believe a company would staff such rude people when dealing with customers. Lost any of my future service work.
Wade made me feel welcome, and got my bike ready to go for the weekend! The service department went above and beyond to make sure I left happy. Thanks guys, I sure do appreciate that!
Sales manager was insulting, because of my non perfect credit! Third party financing, purchasing bikes for my daughters. I guess we don't deserve the same respect as someone with perfect credit and deep pockets!
I would NEVER recommend Cycle Works to any friend or family member.
Jim in sales made the entire experience of buying a bike very sour. He was rude, obnoxious & no help whatsoever. Didn't even takd the time to go through/over the bike wirh my son. Didn't even offer him a test ride after the paperwork had been signed & before it was loaded. If it was possible to give begative stars I would! He's dishonest, demeaning, doesn't honor his verbal deals & extremely unhelpful. If we'd known this, we would've gone to Central Sled & Cycle in Wetaskiwin - 500% better service, selection & atmosphere. The only good part of Cycle Works Red Deer, is the finance lady.
The salesman doesn’t know anything about the bikes he is trying to sell you. Multiple run-ins with the guy that works at the service desk horrible attitude no customer service. Parts desk is good and mechanics are good.
Called in to order some parts. Not sure who I was talking to but man that guy went over and above to help me out and if there was a part they couldn’t get, he pointed me in the right direction. Very happy with dealing with these guys.
I stopped in today for a quick visit and was welcomed by Kourteney. She was very welcoming and they had a good inventory of most items. I will be back!
Just picked up my bike (2002 Yamaha V-Star 1100), I could not be happier right now. The shop was booked solid when I dropped the bike off a day ago, but the guys squeezed me in for a carb tune and maintenance check. The cost was perfectly priced and I was not overcharged. Cycle works will be getting all my business. The bike sounds AMAZING.
This review isn't bashing the quality but their business practice is a concern. As a rider that has dealt with many other shops it has been my experience that when purchasing a tire, installing the new tire is typically included especially when the wheel is brought in. I would understand changing a full $120 for a hour of shop time if I brought the whole bike in but to do a quick tire change when I bought the wheel there doesn't seem right. I was trying to support local even when I knew they were selling the tire at a higher cost than other shops that I normally deal with.
It is possible to give this place a zero? No reason to make an appointment as they can't tell you when you'll be able to pick your bike up. Are there no other competent Yamaha dealers in Central Alberta?
Courtney was IMMEDIATELY warm and welcoming. She was informative on all apparel, and personable every step of the way. While I was taking my time deciding, she stepped away to help 4 or 5 other customers and was equally great with them from what I overheard. Prices were exactly fair too, all aspects considered and compared to other stores and Amazon. I look forward to going there again if I'm ever in the area.
Cycle works Red Deer is hands down my favorite shop for toys and apparel and deals! The staff, especially the owner hands down, go way beyond to make customers happy. Owner lent me a trailer, lent me tie straps all on the day for picking up my sled as nothing was working in my favor. He found me the color of toy I asked for, even though he didnt have one In his shop, and he has made me so happy. Any questions, he has the answers or finds them out for me Wicked sales and deals! Wicked choices of toys, new and used. Wicked staff. Keep up he great work Josh!
The WORST place to buy anything from. Bought an Alpha, had issues before they even loaded it onto my truck. Had it fixed at another dealer in my home town. Horrible customer service, all I got was excuses and arguing. Use a reputable dealer. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
The WORST sled shop we have ever been to! The service writer was rude and obnoxious, the mechanic missed a bunch of important issues with the machine, the paper work was wrong. AND they wouldnt release sled! (I had to call the RCMP, and threaten to have them come to the shop for them to give me my property). Do NOT go to this shop!
Kourtney was very helpful at the Red Deer location she went out of her way to check colors of snowmobile covers and was very knowledgeable about all the other products in the store I would highly recommend going there, the spacious wide open layout was excellent for viewing products and five stars to Kourtney. Thanks Ken
