Ordered butter chicken and lunch special for two with some naan.
Beef kebab was okay. Chicken curry was bunch of bones and gravy from previous night, and warmed before serving. Rice were simple boiled rice. Butter chicken tasted even worse. I could taste raw tomato paste in it. I found only salad and naan to be fresh. Honestly, save your money and go elsewhere. But then there seem to be not any excellent Asian halal food options in Calgary, at least as a visitor from Toronto I couldn’t find any. Tc

It was a cold day and they took me in, gave me a warm meal. Let me stay for the day so that I can wait for my tires. The food was amazing. No Bhature but Nan is good with Chole. From a South East Asian point of view, I like the food here a lot. Will come back soon.

We had visited this place last month. Food is not bad compared to price.
It's a one man show restaurant. The Chef is the only one person who takes order, makes food, serve food and settle the cheque.

The BBQ was awesome along with hot naan. A true Pakistani taste in Calgary with reasonable price.

The food was very juicy and flavourful and the lassi, was amazing! BBQ was very fresh and delicious. Recommend to all of you.

Food was made in time plus very good quantity for the platter of 2 as we eaten the leftover in the breakfast too:) and excellent taste! Good experience taken away 8 hour driving tiredness, will visit again!

Ordered food during Ramadan and was kind of confused and fairly surprised as to how different the service and food has gotten from prior experiences here. Before the food was always in high quantities and quality. Now? Not the same. The food I had ordered was mainly a bowl of oil. Paid for 1 full kg of chicken and was give a fraction of that. If you do want to each authentic Pakistani food, I'm sure you can find better places. I am Pakistani and this was sub par to say the least. Oh, and the topper? Had to drive back to pick up the haleem that wasn't packed nor placed in the bag.

I've been here more than 10 times for dine-in and take-out. Consistent food and service. Everything they serve is flavorful and well-priced! I recommend this to everyone!

Like this place. Awesome food with warm welcoming services made me happy. Atmosphere is very nice, clean and organized. Parking in the front. Staffs are welcoming and friendly. Food prices found reasonable. You could try here.

Too oily and definitely there are much better options available for more authentic indian food in the city. Avoid it if you are looking for authentic Indian food.

Very tasty and delicious food with family friendly atmosphere and great staff. We are very happy to have dinner at Daawat restaurant.

They’ve good variety of food but the only thing is they never have dine in available recently, every time i call them and say they’ve reservations, already happened 3times so I’m not going there anymore.

I had dinner tonight and ordered murgh chole (4/5) and Afghani Tika (3.5/5). The place is calm and beautiful. Owner & Server were very respectful and friendly. On-time service:)

Food is below average. We had Halwa Puri but were not surprised by the quality. The 'Puri' (s) were too crusty. The customer service was absolutely terrible. When I asked them to warm the food which was cold, I was told it was already hot and got into arguments before they warmed it for me. I would not recommend this place. There are much better restaurants out in town that offer better customer service and quality of food for the same price.

My advice is if this is the last restaurant you have a choice to visit that's fine; otherwise there are plenty of other restaurants with good food and a good customer service. It was my first visit when I ordered on the counter rice with lamb.the guy who took my order is a kitchen staff.he did not mention that the food is spicy, and did not ask me if I want to dine in or take the food out. I was surprised to receive the food in a plastic bag, and when I enquired they said you requested a take away.when I asked for the food to be replaced I have been given a cheaper, less spicy plate, and when I was leaving I was ordered by the first kitchen guy to pay for the second plate. I WAS EXPECTING TO BE REFUNDED THE DIFFERENCE OF THW TWO PLATES, BUT WAS SUPRISED BY THE RUDNESS AND LIES (as the customer with the name 'Naila Azmat' mentioned) OF THE KITCHEN GUY WHO, INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING, SAID TO ME: "you ordered a take out plate, and you should know as everyone that Pakistani food is all spicy. " anyone who reads this message can judge if this is how a first time customer should be treated.

Nice and freshly prepared food at a very reasonable price. Prompt service and a recent addition of a decent party hall on first floor.

I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. We made a reservation 10 days in advance to have a dinner with family at eid and when we walked in, the owner lied. He said we had no resetvation, he said they probably forgot. They had booked the entire restaurant for a private event and basically asked us to leave as there was no table. This was extremely embarassing as we had invited guests. The fact that they lied to us is actually bad, I wouldn't mind if they had called us to inform about the cancellation.
Amyways, I used to go there but that will not happen again.

So clean, quite, delicious food, not too much spicy so our kids enjoyed food. Serving portions also good. Reasonable prices. My kids love the palace. My husband never like nehari, but he loves to eat here.

Excellent and authentic food if you don’t die of hunger waiting for it. Restaurant was empty and still wait time was very long. BUT once the food came it was delicious. Here is my review on each item.

Goat Curry: extremely delicious but very little meat. In fact abnormally little meat.

Beef Nihari: Again very delicious and good amount of meat. Really tasty.

Beef Seekh Kebab: My wife loved it but I’ve had better.

Naans: Best price in the whole city. At the time of this review, only 0.95 Cents for one unbuttered naan

We went for Lunch. Worst place to go owner was busy attending phones and took long time to take orders. The place was vacant with no people. I ordered biryani and chicken kabob. Biryani came in looks a week old stored in fridge. Chicken was smelly and chicken kabob role was worst than biryani
I dont recommend this place will never go back

Food was really delicious specially goat biriyani and goat curry. Price was really cheaper than Victoria. Goat biriyani tasted (Kacci Biriyani) and that was really Nostalgic for us. However, Customer service was really poor.

Food is delicious here, I’ve tried almost everything they’re quick and the owner is nice and friendly, there pricing is good not very expensive according to quantity, nice and clean environment!

Very average food. Meet was stale and smelly in lamb Biryani. Not so good customer service. There are posters of fried rice and many things outside the restaurant which are not even available in the menu.

Took my family here after moving to Karachi for an authentic breakfast of halwa puri and chai, and they were incredibly pleased with the food quality, cleanliness and service. Thank you!

If you wanna try best saag or channa masala in Calgary I will 100% recommend you this restaurant. Food is amazing and specially restaurant crew is very nice.

Service was bad. We were served with Luke warm tap water. After complaining some ice was added. A table of 8 was served with 7 matching plates and 8th mismatched plate with spoons and napkins. When complained we were a plate short, he said the plate with napkins and spoons will be our 8th plate.
Since we ordered BBQ, we were expecting forks and knives but served with spoons. After asking for forks he only brought 3 forks to the table. So most of us ate our BBQ with spoons.
Food was OK. We were already very disappointed with the service. This is not a place if you want to for a good service and food. This explains why we were the only occupied table there.

Absolutely delicious food. Everything we ordered was so well made. The best items were chicken biryani, mutton biryani, nihari, kabab masala, and afghani tikka. We will definitely come back. You will not be disappointed.

Came here in Calgary for work purposes from ON, n I tried this restaurant with my friends and the food is awesome here specially lahori chanas, Saag that reminds me my home. Love this restaurant. Service is also awesome, friendly staff and I'm still here and eating food daily since last month from this restaurant.

I travel a lot so I've tasted different food and couldn't find food like here. I've been dining here for last 15 days. I particularly like Murg Chana, Sang and chicken kabab.

Hosted a party here a month ago and had the whole place to ourselves. Staff were very welcoming and food was delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the owner is very generous. Definitely recommend.

If you want to eat ethinic pakistani yummy food. Visit them. Their breakfast of Halwa puri is very good. Their dinning hall is very beautifully decorated. Very neat and clean. Customer service is great. Personally for all our important occasions like birthdays and anniversary dinners we come here. We always get best food and best service. Even if our friends are visiting us from other provinces we bring them here. We are always happy after dinning here.

Food is not bad. The portion of the lamb was small but good taste.but customer service was really bad, specially i spent over the usual for 4 people.regardless it should be same for one or or 10 items ordered.

I was the only customer at noon time. Grilled fish was excellent. Nạn not so good. Waiter can be nuisingly talkative.

Food is great. Customer service is excellent. Tried Ginger Chicken. Gravy is awesome. Chicken Biryani comes with yogurt-based side. Milk tea is good, too! Highly recommended!

We went for lunch on a Friday and it was easy to find a seat for the family. The food was excellent and the manager made sure we had a great experience. The portion sizes are good with lots of left overs, we ordered 4 dishes for 5 people and it was more than enough.

With a short notice, they were able to take our reservation and provide us the best food which was served hot and fresh. Kudos to all the team at Daawat Restaurant. They delivered the best service. Highly recommend to try their BBQ, Chicken Karahi, Chana Masala and Biryani. The seating area is neat, clean and comfortable.

We went for dine in. The restaurant was very nice and clean inside, ample seating for guests. We ordered the BBQ platter and Chicken Karhai. The BBQ platter was really good and the Chicken Karhai was good. Their service was great and it was an overall positive experience. I would recommend them based on this experience.

So unprofessional staff, don’t value others time. Was regular customer and will never come again

Ordered couple of biryani chicken as takeout was not at all fresh only 2 chicken wings in biryani and rice very dry was excited to try new place but was disappointed worst biryani in calgary
