Dang Good

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants out there. Such a great vegan menu and everything is labeled vegan/gluten—free to help diners quickly decide what to order. The food is so fresh and flavourful! And the owners are absolutely delightful. My husband left his gloves and 6months later when we went to eat, the owner remembered us and brought out the gloves to return to my husband! Unreal service. Highly recommend their Pho. Vegan “beef” sate, coconut seafood soup, etc. So good. It is a large enough establishment that you can eat with a larger party and they can fit you in (it is our go-to for multiple families to join together for birthdays, etc).

We have ordered vegan broth noodle with plant based meat, vegan spring roll and banana/jack fruit roll dessert. Very nice service and delicious food. Too bad only one server running around and many customers. Othewise, i will give 5 stars for all.

The best place for pho in the city. They also have an amazing vegan menu too! Customer for life!

Best dang pho sate on the planet I'm pretty sure! I crave it. It was my first beef sate ever and whenever I try a new place it's just not the same. Spring rolls are phenomenal as well. Family owned and a very sweet man that serves.

Food was excellent and the owner brought me out a lemon water while I was waiting for take out, didn't even ask. Really friendly and helpful service. Also good with gluten free and vegan dietary options.

One of my all time favourite local spots. Amazing vegan options, especially the vegan pho sate soup (looked and tastes so realistic we almost thought we didn’t get the vegan option the very first time ; just look at that picture below!), spring rolls and green onion cakes. The customer service is always above and beyond.

Went to Dang Good based on a recommendation. The service was great, and the food came out pretty quickly! The food itself was so simple and good, super wholesome and just what was needed to get through the cold Edmonton winter night. Will be coming back for sure!

The food here is fantastic and the vegan menu has plenty to choose from. They are always willing to make substitutions based on dietary restrictions or preferences. The food is always prepared quickly, it is affordable and the staff are always so pleasant to talk to.

If you’re looking for pho or just Vietnamese, this is a great spot. Tried it out on various coworkers’ recommendations. Enjoyed spring rolls and a bowl. A little “Mom and Pop” shop, the owner-operators (I assume) hustled to take orders, make food, and wait on tables. They were efficient and the food was really tasty. Lots of vegan options on the menu as well.

Edmonton has a vast selection of amazing vegan and vegetarian restaurants, and while I’m new to both the diet and the city I can confidently state that Dang Good is the best I’ve ever eaten at. Hands down the best dining experience I’ve had since becoming vegetarian, their vegan menu is sizeable and has the same variety of options as any Vietnamese menu, just plant based. And the prices are great, probably the cheapest vegan meal available in Edmonton (I love all those little plant-based cafes you guys have up here but my wallet does not) and it tastes like heaven. I Definitely Recommend, and I will be returning the next time I’m in Edmonton during lunch.

I’ve had a few things off the menu and my favourite is the beef sate. It’s not too spicy and is full of flavour.

Great every time and lives up to its name. A neighbourhood gem. Faves are mango salad with tofu, vermicelli bowls with vegan spring rolls. I like to add mango and basil. These dishes are especially excellent for hot summer nights. For pick up, The online ordering is really easy too.

Always have a great meal at Dang Good. The Pho is highly recommended. Love the slightly sweet and tangy taste. The meats and noodles are fresh and tasty. The staff is very nice and courteous.

Super friendly staff, owner Vince makes you feel like a friend and family member. Killer Satay soup and ice coffee. My Girl loves the vegan friendly options and the hot and sour seafood soup! Must eat here.

That vegetable meat in the soup was so gross.ruined it for me. And I did ask to substitute with any real vegetable but.no luck no veggies in the house. So if you’re someone like me who love the crunch of real vegetables you’re warned.

My boyfriend and I finally tried this place via my mom/sisters recommendation.we loved it.we had the vegan pho, spring rolls & green onion cakes.they were delicious.

If you want authentic Vietnamese food Dang Good is the place to go to. Their pho tastes exactly like the one we had in Saigon. They have lots of options including vegetarian and vegan soups and vermicelli. The service is friendly, quick and efficient. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome at the place. I discovered one of my favourite soups because he suggested it and now I can’t have anything else. We’ve also had it as take out and it’s always packed efficiently, and tastes incredible. We can’t wait to go back when things open up again.

Food is good and place is clean. Biggest problem is it gets busy around dinner so you can easily wait a half hour to be seated. Numerous other Vietnamese restaurants in the area so you best bet if you want to avoid the frustrating wait is just to pick one and go there

Really really good Vietnamese food. The beef short ribs are amazing and the pho has a really good broth.

I'm sad I can't give 5 stars because I don't like to focus on the negative. However, hopefully owners will read this and improve and/or ask for a chance to earn the other 2 stars. We arrived at noon and were seated within 10 minutes despite a fairly packed house. All good. We ordered within another 5-7 minutes. All good. By 1pm (45 minutes later) we had still not received our lunch (2 orders of 3 color vermicelli - mine was ordered with chicken, shrimp and spring rolls). We got it to go. (they did bring us our 1 order of green onion cake to share which took the edge off my hunger - the delay on that was apparently it was brought to the wrong table)
So it's busy at work - I finally get a chance to open up my 3 color vermicelli and to my chagrin. 1 lousy shrimp. ONE! I don't know if that's the standard amount on a 3 color vermicelli bowl but after all the hassle of waiting all lunch hour for food that didn't make it in time for lunch, I expected more than ONE lousy shrimp. No Dang Good!
Anyway, service is friendly, place is SUPER CLEAN and I usually leave there quite satisfied. Sad I couldn't give 5 stars today. Lesson here is don't scrimp on the shrimp if you've already got a few strikes up on the board.
I still recommend the place.:)

The best Vietnamese food in Edmonton with the best restaurant owner in the world. Seems like everyone that tries this place becomes a regular, food is consistently amazing and Vince makes the whole experience great. Won't ever go anywhere else for Vietnamese food.

Just a really solid Vietnamese spot for dinner, their combo bowls are excellent, service is super quick and the restaurant is clean and has a fair amount of parking.

My wife and I go once every time she gets back from working up north. Good food, all the staff are really friendly.

Loved the beef satay pho, delicious broth! Good green onion cakes and spring rolls too. Tried a taste of the vegan pho option as well and it was great!

I eat here atleast 2 times a month because the quality and serving sizes never fail to impress me every single time. Yes, this place gets slammed and you may have to wait for a while but it's worth it for the food and customer service. There is a reason this restaurant gets packed and maybe with more prolonged support they will eventually be able to move to a larger location and can afford extra staff while still maintaining their impeccable standards.

Best pho satay in Edmonton! I've tried so many, and this is unique and so tasty. Tomato, cucumber, and a bit of a creamy broth make it so amazing! Gets busy during the week around lunch.

Discovered this place a few years ago and after another amazing dinner with friends last night needed to submit a review. Food is always amazing, service was great the server was friendly and genuine.even though the place was packed, service was timely. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Very quaint and quiet location. The owner is nice and the decorum is polite. It's often busy but don't worry the wait is short.

Mmm, delicious. This is a favourite spot for me and my favourite is a 2 colour bowl of noodles with spring rolls and prawns. Pretty and tasty every time.

Been eating here for years, thought I would finally put a review in. This place is great! Food is good, ingredients are fresh, but most importantly, the staff is super friendly and attentive. Aside from the name itself lending to describing this place to a tee, the owners are very genuine and truly care about the food. Even though it’s been a year since we last ate here, they still remembered my family. Will always come back when I visit Edmonton.

Not enough bearers or servers to take order and cater to the high volume of customers. Only an old lady running from desk to desk, so the waiting period is very high. This will test the level of patience of the customers. Food is tasty and variety is served. Need to improve customer service and reduce the waiting time.

Absolutely obsessed with the Pho Beef Sate! We've made this a regular spot and drive to this location from the south side over anywhere else. No other restaurant compares to the quality of food and service they offer here! <3

Great Vietnamese restaurants that serves the classic Vietnamese dishes such as Pho and Vermicelli bowls. If I were to make a recommendation, any of the dishes that feature their grilled meats are delicious. The owner is always friendly, the restaurant is clean and kid friendly. Good place for lunch or dinner.

The atmosphere was very comfortable. The restaurant was clean tidy and up to date tables and chairs. The prices seemed very reasonable. The food was great with good sized portions. The staff were friendly and I could see into the kitchen it looked tidy, organized and clean. The bathrooms were also clean and maintained well. I would recommend eating here.

Lots of great vegetarian/vegan options, affordable, and super tasty food. Nice, clean store, service not amazing but the food was very good. We had the pho saté and ginger tofu; pho was great, tofu was a little too sweet for me but still very good. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning

I went 3 times, the first right before they closed the cinnamon rolls were dry and horrible, so I decided to try them when they opened in the mornings. It was still horrible, dry and just not good. The only saving grace was when I tried the waffles, they were freaking amazing even though they are very small for the price. The waffles are the only reason I gave it a 3 star instead of a zero. They are that good!

They are busy for a reason! We came for pho and the portion sizes were generous, and it was very tasty.
