Awesome shop. Didn't think he'd find discs for my bindings as he doesn't sell Caprix bindings but was more than happy to take 45 minutes to check. Really friendly guys and a great place to shop.

I call it skate board heaven woudnt stop smiling after i left the place super friendly staff definitely my go to shop amazing staff and got to hold a og spit fire wheel i recommend 10000% definitely going again love the place can’t say enough good things about it

Place has SOUL and John and his son make my day when I come it for a shop or browse!
I tend to look here first before I venture to other stores. I like the fact he has alot of RDS and REAL life experience with his products. Thats sick!

I’d have to say this is probably the best snowboard shop in town and the best one I’ve ever been to. The way John helps you with picking gear and different snowboards is just something you never get at S3 or Ernie’s. I bought my second snowboard here and it was high quality and a great experience. He even put on the bindings for me for no extra charge! If you’re looking for a new snowboard or snow gear, this is the place!

Amazing service and awesome customer relations. Went to all other board shops first and as soon as we set foot in this shop we were made to feel extremely welcome.

This local board shop is great. The owner is professional and very welcoming. If you need boarding or back country supplies, he's got it.

I would give more stars if I could. Owners and staff have great integrity and pride in their shop and craft. Walking in for the first time with my young son we were welcomed and respected. Truly enjoyed the experience and strongly encourage folks to atleast check out Dark Flavour and their products. Ill be back 100%.

I've been shopping here for many years and it's the best skate/snow shop in town with the most soul. They always have the coolest clothes and camping stuff as well. Expert advice on any of the above, very friendly and professional.

First time in my life entering this store. Overall wasn’t impressed. When I entered the dude working behind the counter was nice, made the typical hi welcome and such. Getting ready to go on a snowboarding trip to jasper, I was looking to get some gear and a new RDS shirt. I waited for him to be available, as he was talking to another customer for quite a while. A few minutes later he said “hey dude, I just got some bad news about something personal and it’s pretty tragic, so if you’re just going to look around and not buy anything I’m going to ask you to leave”. I quickly apologize and bought a Volcom face mask quickly that I intended to buy when I walked in. He glared at me the whole time, then I left the store. I understand personal matters come up; but that is no way you treat a customer. He left the store open, so apparently other customers are more valuable than me. Was totally humiliated, I do not recommend supporting anyone who treats anybody the way I was. Very poorly handled and very disappointing, will never step foot in this store again.

A childhood store that still brings joy too my day *20 years* later! Best user in the field knowledge around from John, in my opinion. Wide array of appeal all seasons.the hiking/ backing extras are of superb quality and amazingly priced.compared from here to Calgary and even some online. Great work from all have worked and helped Dark all these years. Congrats on 20 years local!

Great local place to shop. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and carries really high quality items. I bought a burton fleece as well and an ak bag, both of which I use quite frequently for hiking. This would have been about a year ago, and they have held up perfectly with no wear or discolouration. Great deal on them as well. I highly recommend shopping here if you want stuff that will last you a long time and want someone who actually knows the ins and outs of the product they are selling.

Honestly the best place to go if you need any skii/snowboard gear, i went everywhere else in town and this was the only place that i got professional help from, the owner is super nice and knows what hes talking about, highly recommened!

Have been going here sporadically since 2003. They are celebrating 20 years this year! Just got my snowboard waxed ($35 I think) and they did an amazing and speedy job. It's pretty busy, try to plan a few days ahead of when you'll need it though they were very honest about expected timing. Great selection of things to browse (adorable kids winter gear too). I also got a Burton toque, excellent selection of those as well.

John was super helpful and informative. Definitely will use Dark Flavour as my go to shop from now on. Small family owned store so shop local!

This is the best skate/snow shop in town. They always try and get you what you need and help you when your down. Very Knowledgeable staff!
