Dave Does Lawns Ltd.

Used this company 2 years ago without a problem. Changed company’s. Then without contact of any kind they sent me to a collection agency for late bill. Do not recommend. Very unprofessional.

I had Dave and his team come out several times to do aeration, power raking, soil analysis and yard work. I was having issues in my back-yard with slow growing grass and he spent ample time explaining what he thought the root (no pun intended) causes could be. My lawn is looking better than it has in many years, with a solid plan in place to get the back-yard back to it's original glow.

His team also made a recommendation to a local company for fertilizing and weed control, and their formula is much better than the previous company we had been using. Will also be getting a soil analysis to get to the bottom of the issues. Thanks!

Talk about customer service.called in to inquire and get a quote on spring maintenance - it took 15 seconds for the receptionist to tell me that unless I’m subscribing to regular maintenance throughout the year, they’re all booked and not accepting new clients otherwise. I was going to follow up with another question about how regular maintenance works only to have her cut me off and say “but thank you for thinking about us though. ” I figured no point in trying to ask again. Well guess I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, quite disappointed by the lack of customer service and response to customer cues.

He does not take just doing aerating the lawn. He wants to have a contract for lawn maintenance through out the spring, summer and fall. I would not hire him for anything because the attitude of this business really sucks. If you need some body to do just what you would like, google what you're looking for and you get a really big number of people who are in the business. They are not fussy in wanting a contract to be signed. Thank you.

We used this company last year for their spring turf clean-up & were very pleased. We look forward to using their services again this year.

I worked directly with Chris to have them aerate, top dress with compost, and over-seed my yard. They were on time, professional, quick, and happy to share knowledge on the status of my lawn. They have the right tools and people, I will use them again.

I phoned them a couple of times. They called me back the first time and I explained what I was looking for. They were very pleasant but never called back. I called them again and no response at all. I guess I will be looking somewhere else. Good customer service is the best way to keep a company going.

I hired DDL first time in 2014 or 2015 they were a bit more expensive than competition but they had good reviews so I gave them a chance. The first year they did fantastic job on my 3 properties, everything was done in great fashion, quickly and efficient. Years after that their service started slacking, quality was not as first year and while pricing stayed the same quality has dropped. Last year (2018) my lawn was done so late in the spring that it was last in a whole neighborhood. They had different excuse, weather, labor, not enough man power, schedule, priority given to “year around customers”, etc. This year they came up with huge price increase of 60% over last year pricing (I have checked few other companies and got estimates that are ½ of their price) and that was the last drop. Soo if you hire them this year, they are most likely going to do very good job but after that is downhill in quality or uphill in pricing.

Updating my review to say that years later I am still an extremely happy year round customer plus many additional services (weed control, fertilizing, bed maintenance, tree removal, stump grinding, gutter cleaning, etc.) that Dave-Does-Lawns does or manages for me. This winter would challenge any service with all of the freezing rain we've had and my property is promptly cleared and safe, thanks to Dave-Does-Lawns!
Original review: Been using Dave Does Lawns for three years and my lawn looks awesome and is always cut properly like clockwork. Love the ability to pay my account online securely. I used Dave for snow clearing this past winter and all I can say is wow! I fired my sons from snow clearing duty after they left a 4-6 inch deep cover of ice on most of my driveway. I called Dave and it was gone in a flash. After that, during big dumps and small skiffs, the snow magically disappeared. I am a super satisfied year round customer.
