Days Inn by Wyndham Calgary Airport

Front staff was friendly, professional and courteous. Price was good. Room was clean and roomy. Lots of amenities around it. Tim Hortons, McDonald's, grocery store.

1. Your pool area was disgusting. I reported it Friday evening as someone had thrown up on the waterside stairs. It was still there the next day. I took pictures to share when I make my review.
2. The pool area itself is really gross and should be maintained much better. Chewed gun in the shower area, wrappers from a lollipop in the hottub, the stick by the bathroom door. Half filled and empty coffee cups along the windowsill, snotty wet kleenex (i assume snotty) on the wet floor by the drain where half your pool floor has been picked at. It is gross and makes you feel dirty.
3. The rooms. That was very nice, however I asked qt thr time I checked in to have towels refreshed. The next nothing happened. I went down and reported it to your front desk. The guy insisted on arguing with me. He spoke perfect English so there was zero misunderstanding.he was rude and kept repeating we only do rooms every 3 days. I was NOT LOOKING for my room to be tied as I already did that. I just wanted fresh towels. I had to end up taking towels from the pool room, which were damp, and use those. Finally we ran into your head housekeeper who was fantastic.and clearly underpaid. She arranged towels for us. However the lady who brought them smelled horrific, and I wish I was exaggerating when I say it was bad body odor, but we had to leave our door open and crack the windows.
The lack of cleanliness and empathy to resolve issues which are a quick solve, will result in me sharing my experience at your establishment. I used to stay with you all the time and in fact always got room 309. Which I have zero complaints. Loved your hotel. Fantastic area nice get away. You pay for what you get. Clearly something went downhill. BUT after this last visit of 2 nights and the extremely aggressive front desk agent and your lack of cleanliness of your pool. Most likely won't stay again. You know you stay at hotels tocget away. Whether it be for business, pleasure, whatever.but you pay for a service. I would expect, and I don't think it is asking.much, for quality. All I wanted was fresh towels. I was not asking for gold, just clean towels.and now I am leavingnthis review which I doubt you even read these and will probably dismiss it. Nothing will be done, zero compensation, no compassion. It was out for an anniversary and just wanted to escape our lives and have a good few quiet nights.

Upon arrival and using the washroom in our room to urinate the toilet filled up with water instantly. We called the front desk and spoke to PAULINE who stated she could bring us a plunger. We asked if there was maintenance or anyone to do it and she said no that they aren’t here on the weekend. When I asked to talk to the manager she said he wasn’t here either and gave me a card to email him but said he likely wouldn’t respond because it was the weekend. She stated there was nothing she could do for us other than give us the plunger to do it ourselves as no other rooms were available. PAULINE was completely unwilling to help us in anyway it’s the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Who pays for a hotel room they have to plunge themselves especially when they didn’t do it!

Fun slide in the pool area and i was satisifed with my stay.affordable.enjoyed free breakfast.

The rooms were uncomfortably dirty but it includes breakfast, the percolator always had coffee any time. Like the other reviws, this hotel is outdated, filthy, disgusting. Our room on the 2nd floor smelled moldy from the dirty smelly carpet. The bathroom looked clean but there's hair on the bathtub and hair on folded clean towels, bathtub had a huge rust looking stain near the drain, we couldn't use it. Shower pressure was good though. Would've given more stars if the old bald Indian man who checked us in asked for the credit card twice to pre authorize security payment, one for 150 and another one for 100, he said that it was a mistake to charge 150 because it's supposed to be 300 but gave us a discount and held 250 instead. When we checked out, it was only supposed to be 150. Even though this was voided, we did not appreciate this kind of deceit

If you're looking for a fancy place this isn't it. There are rips in the upholstery in the lobby and somethings just don't work right. However, if you are a family looking for safe, clean and economical lodging it's great. The waterslide is really fast for a hotel, the breakfast buffet is more than adequate, the staff were wonderful and accommodating.

The room is clean, so that is good. But they advertise an airport shuttle.but they neglect to say it is only one way. We choose the hotel, when booking, because of the airport shuttle. We are very disappointed.do not stay here if you are expecting shuttle service.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. We recently had a booking last Dec, 13-15,2022. It clearly says on your website "we are also pleased to provide our guests with a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport to make your trip as easy as possible. " I choose this hotel because of this but the lady working on the front desk said that it's only a one way trip. And made me pay $26 for the shuttle to the airport. I would like to request for a refund for that. As for my understanding "complimentary shuttle to AND from the airport" means two way. It didn't said "to OR from airport" that means one way.

If you are looking for a place that you can easily leave cleaner than when you arrived you have come to the right place!

In my room I have found a zip lock bag, several plastic tags, a broken glass shard, a bead and lots of dust (so much it took 3 face cloths and a hand towel to clean)

There is evidence that there have been bedbugs as there are small blood splats on the bedding when you look. This adds an extra expense when getting home to ensure that you are properly killing anything that may be infested.

When I went to the front desk to see if there were any more face cloths I was able to get towels but not a face cloth. I had to borrow one from another room, thankfully I had that option.

The bathtub plug was not screwed into the tub properly and you could tell it was worn down. There was a bit of a fight just to keep water in my bathtub.

My partner and I stayed here for a week, staff were friendly and welcoming. We both loved the breakfast, they had alot of options and we found it to be quite filling. We had no issues with our room itself, the pool was smallish but still had alot of fun - the pool water did look dirty / cloudy and smelt full of chlorine but otherwise fine. The only issue we found was there was another guests clothing left behind the TV cabinet in our room which isnt something that the hotel was at fault for.

Overall its worth the price and I would definitely stay here again

The hotel advertises a 'free airport shuttle service' on their website. When I arrived at the airport, I was told on the phone that I needed to take a taxis at my own expense as they didn't have a shuttle bus service. As this way only a layover, the taxis cost each way was more than the cost of the room. The hotel staff were unwilling to give any compensation for their false advertising.

The room was clean and large. We have a great dane who was with us and it was great how dog friendly all the staff were. The couch was a little uncomfortable but liveable. Pool was fun and our daughter enjoyed it and the hot tub.

One of the Best place to stay and enjoy the hospitality. Staff is so good and cordial that you feel at home. Morning breakfast is superb. Specially the hospitality shown by one of their staff member Parminder Kaur was excellent. She served us and helped us a lot in the morning breakfast. Overall we enjoyed the stay and recommend it as a nice cool place to stay.

No Stars. We arrived after my day at work to be told reservation was canceled. The front desk clerk was adamant we canceled. Not so. Not impressed. After much discussion during which I said I had called last night to confirm airport shuttle was available. He offered me a room which I declined. Will never book there again. Ruined night.
Don't believe the response. I was not offered a better room. I was called a liar and the gentleman at front was very rude to me. Doubly upset that management feels the need to lie to try to save face. DO Not stay here!

Extremely disturbing that management here does not have higher standards for cleanliness. Please drain your hot tub, thoroughly clean it, and re-fill with clean water instead of just adding more chemicals which are irritating people's skin. Very disappointed in the lack of compassion and customer service from the front staff about the hot tub being disgusting and a health hazard.

Sorry but this was a filthy hotel, from the lobby to the room, and in the room. Especially the bathroom, black grout between the tile, dirty tub, dirty carpet. I would expect more from a Days Inn. The staff were very nice, but how about cleanliness? Can’t we have both?

The old guy at night shift don’t have manners on how to treat people. He was rude, annoying and racist in every manner possible just can’t believe what happen he called cops for walking in our own room. Its a hostel not a hotel. He ruined my gf birthday and i wish he will suffer same in future when he will be with his family.

Awesome hotel, decent price, excellent service and. PET FRIENDLY!

I stayed here around the end of May.

Can't complain too much; quite liked my stay. It was my first time in Alberta and the staff were very friendly. My only gripe was the parking, or rather lack thereof. On a busy night there might not be enough parking for everyone, and I'm not sure where you would park then. There are other hotels nearby, so perhaps they have agreements with them.

Also, on my first reservation (I had two separate ones for nights a few days apart), I was able to check in about 2 hours early without having to pay an extra fee! That was very much appreciated. I was dead on my feet from a day of traveling, and absolutely had no energy left to wait around until check-in time.

The location is pretty decent in terms of amenities nearby. There is a mall nearby, a grocery store, and several restaurants, so you've got a lot of options as far as things to eat.

I stayed in two separate rooms, and both rooms had a microwave and mini fridge, which was very convenient. There was also a TV, ample power outlets, and one of the rooms I stayed in had this very comfy chair. The first room was one with two queen beds and the second was a room with a king bed that was in its own chamber off to the side of it and a pull out couch. Actually, the room had two couches, and I believe they were both convertible to beds.

Next time I stay in Calgary, I will very likely consider this location again.

Centrally located hotel 15 mins from airport and downtown. Renovated 2 queen beds on 3rd floor is nice. Breakfast is also very delicious and has sausage, egg, toast and more!
The pool is quite busy. Parking goes quick so you need luck to get a spot.
Ongoing roof renovations which are loud and Block half the parking and hope it's fixed soon. Stayed Sep 2022.
