This is a newer Denny’s with a great atmosphere. Service was great. Food came quickly and was delicious

I just can't anymore it is $24.00 for the chicken plate dinner I got 2 of them both were overdone and I am disgusted they come with 2 sides look at the size of Mac and cheese what a rip off. These people should be ashamed ripping off people like this.

Just terrible. Order came wrong TWICE. Gave it another chance and it STILL happened. No more chances for this Denny's. Absolutely the worst in the city.

My friend and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing dining experience and received great customer service from Kondal R. I highly recommend the Salted Caramel Banana Pancake Slam.

We were here late on a Friday, about 10pm I think. Quiet, just us and maybe one other table. Place smelled of eggs, hydrogen sulfide maybe, tolerable but unfortunate. The good company carried us through. Had a couple of hot chocolates and some cinnamon ball dealies.

I came here with my boyfriend on April 12 around 3: 30 pm the service was okay but my salad had a hair in it and had to take it back to the server I don’t think I will be coming back until they fix that because no one should have to find a piece of hair in their food

Service wasn't stellar. It was NOT busy, and had to signal to the server for everything. More coffee, etc. She didn't check to see how things were, etc. The just basic stuff.and it was really cold inside. Food was pretty good.

Great value. Thanks Denny's for having great prices for over 55s! Good breakfast food, served fast. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because we asked for pop refills and they forgot, the refills didn't come until the meal was over. There are quite a few reviews saying the same thing. We will be back!

Service can be slow in the evenings but the food is always as expected (never any issues) and delivery when ordered is always fast! Polite servers as well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was nice hot. I've never seen a Denny's in a downtown setting, so it was a little different. But I enjoyed that inner city feeling it had. Definitely bigger than what it portrayed on the outside. Definite recommend

A perfect place to have your cocktails which are tooooo taste.

Ordered from Skip the Dishes. I got the Chicken strip meal thing for 4 people (which was $75) and it came with like 6 chicken fingers and a small handful of french fries. I also paid $10 extra for the seasoned fries. It was perhaps enough food for 4 toddlers, but certainly not 4 adults, and definitely not worth the $75 I paid for it. Super disappointed, save yourself the rip off and order from somewhere else.

Big fan of Denny's! Especially the one on 17th Ave SW! I go there every weekend for breakfast!

We travel for work from vancouver to Calgary. The odd days we get to sit a relax over something like a coffee is rare.
If one or more of my 3 person crew is somewhat dirty should not have such an obvious negative impact on the usually good service. The Manager was the only one serving ours and a few other tables.
Even posturing up as he approached starring us up and down. Coffee was put in front of us abruptly.

Took over an hour for food to come to table. Server was rude and condescending. I only stayed because my friend really likes the place. Would not recommend to anyone. Just go to a&w for late night eats.

My friend and I came for breakfast here.food was great and service was excellent.my server was Margaret and she was amazing! Keep up the good work, will definitely keep coming here and hope to get Margaret as my server again

Went for breakfast on Sunday, hostess was fantastic, the server obviously didn't want to be there, bare minimum of effort no refills, we were an inconvenience to his day making him work. If he doesn't want to be a server maybe have him do something else, when he noted the drinks the hostess brought us I hoped that meant he did so for refills -nope. He never checked up on us. Have to remember to avoid this Denny's

Went there a few days ago in the evening on a date. Server was inappropriate and rude to me and was flirting with my date. She interrupted our conversations many times just to talk about herself. She also messed up my food order and my order arrived late. Such an embarrassment of a server. Stop flirting with peoples date and get your own dates and write down the order if you can’t remember a simple request of no dairy.

Nice atmosphere, decent service, predictable food. Not too busy so had some privacy with a friend for dinner. The place was nice and clean and the washrooms reflected this as well. Would definitely recommend for a reasonable priced fare on 17th Ave.

The server has a very bad attitude. And the food came very late.and the food was cold. I will never come again.

Margaret was kind, quick, and efficient! She was always making sure we felt comfortable and if we needed anything. I never leave reviews but this woman is an amazing example of customer service. She was all by herself and that didn’t stop her from being attentive to every table! Thanks for the great hospitality Margaret:)

For breakfast and a beer. Dennys is the place to go.my only downer about this location is I can always hear the head cook yelling from across the kitchen to someone he's teaching.and on the off occasion where they mess up my order or when we order from home and the whipped cream is melted.but all in all.good place for a breakfast that will take you to dinner lol

Food was fresh and quick, service was friendly. Only thing to nit pick was the jus with the French dip sandwhich, was super salty. Otherwise very delicious

I went there to have Salad, but the stuffs was not fresh and when they brought it, it didn’t have some of the components which it should have had, and with the same price!
I asked to bring me some chicken, but they simply substitute it with turkey bacon!
I never go there again!

I’ve ordered from this restaurant a few times, they consistently have messed up my order. It’s as though they don’t even read the receipts from the orders for delivery. I often ask for something to be sent without meat because I am vegetarian and 80% of the time it shows up with meat on it. I don’t normally like to complain but it’s really frustrating when you pay and extra $8 for delivery and the tip for the driver and then your food shows up and it’s wrong/can’t eat it. Skip can reimburse us for the cost of the food but they don’t for the tip and delivery fee for driver. (understandable cause it’s not their fault)

We had an amazing experience, we came in late and Ravi went above and beyond to make our experience good.

I do food delivery. Went for two orders. Not ready, they ask for 5 minutes. Came back after 7 minutes, not ready, when asked, server, furious, said: “I’m busy so you have to wait for five or ten more minutes. ” I said: very professional. He didn’t bother, just made me wait ten more minutes.

Denny’s should improve their service time if they want to deliver food, otherwise, for us, drivers, not worthy the time wasted.

Not so good food and really bad service, made me feel like they were annoyed with me everytime i asked for anything.

Absolutely ABYSMAL service,
I came in to have a lovely brunch with my boyfriend on SATURDAY, NOV20,2021. Almost afraid to ask the Bartender anything, 1. I asked for side bacon, and he said it was in my ***VEGETARIAN*** omelet (CHARGED ME FOR THE BACON) 2. I didn’t end up eating my toast because the bartender was SUPER UNAPPROACHABLE; I felt like asking for butter would be too much. He had four tables, FOUR TABLES!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Waste of time, TERRIBLE SERVICE.

We went for a late night meal and Ravi was a very attentive server. The food came at a quick pace and was exactly what we wanted. They also have a great playlist which fits the vibe perfectly.

I ordered mashed potatoes and ate a small piece of paper. Maybe you guys pre portion the mashed potatoes on parchment paper and someone forgot to ditch the paper? Eating mashed potatoes cooked & stuck on paper having to scrape it off just doesn’t feel right - surely you would agree.is this an error or is this how you serve them to those who are not dining in?

Had the pleasure of having every breakfast here last week. Every morning was great, especially when James was on. Aside from being exceptional while serving, he also was funny and authentic. Really set the tone of each day. Good food and some laughter. Thanks James!

Abysmal service, couldn’t even get help from the management. Place is nice and brand new but that’s not what makes a restaurant successful.

This is a new Denny's on 17th ave. My wife and I were excited to try dinner at this place. Well, total fail, service was not good and slow, the steak and gravy was too salty. We will not be returning to this Denny's any time soon. Management didn't even come to apologize.

The service was very good and staff very helpfull and courteous but food was a big disappointing.

Super average, you get what you pay for. Had the saddest Baileys coffee, it was totally tasteless. Had the All American slam breakfast. Eggs were tasty, two tiny thin strips of bacon, they ran out o strawberry jam for the toast. Service was pretty slow, didn't bring any salt/pepper/condiments. Just average. Spend a bit more and go somewhere else!

Ordered from this location 4 times now. 3 of those times they forgot a part of my meal (be it the $10 side salad or fries, or toppings for my kids breakfast pancakes, or a desert.) Very very slack location that does not care if they even include the entire order. I will be ordering from another Dennys location from now on.

I love coming to Denny's. I just had a delicious breakfast with my wife and son. Their patio is great. Sheila is a great waitress. Her obvious experience shows through her exceptional service. I recommend Denny's on 17th Ave.

Don’t waste your money at this place. Lame service, bad food and it’s pretty expensive for a dinner.

Worst service ever! Me and three friend came for brunch.we get there and are seated fairly quickly, however, we waited about 20 minutes before the server came and asked for our drinks.he forgot my coffee.my girl friend started to order her food and the server rudely interrupted her so he could take my boyfriend’s order.we waited over 1 hour for our food.our server just disappeared and we got our food once the manager came up to the table and asked if i wanted more coffee.we noticed he grabbed our tray of food that had been sitting on the counter for quite a while before it came to us.food was cold, and portions smaller than other denny’s i’ve been to.note: our server still didn’t show up.the manager became our server i guess?

when we were done the food the manager asked me to leave a review.i told him if i did it wouldn’t be a good one.he then proceeded to ask me not to leave the review.

I leave five stars for James our server. We had breakfast on a busy Saturday morning. I believe there were only two servers on. James was HUSTLING. He was clearly working very hard, had an unrealistically large section, yet remained exceptionally courteous under the clearly stressful situation. What appeared to be the manager or the owner however was wondering around the diner with his hands clasped behind his back at a snails pace. This was aggravating to watch as a customer, let alone what it must be like for the staff to see. When everyone is working as hard as they can, to then see the manager/owner not wanting to get stuck in is shameful. The hospitality industry is suffering from a major labor shortage right now and everyone needs to give a little more grace and patience when due. Thank you James for giving us polite, pleasant service.

Overall my experience was decent. The food was tasty. Service was average. The nachos we received were very very salty. Had to return them to the kitchen! Otherwise, decent experience.

First of all our food took like an hour to come, second they got our order wrong, and we got food poisoning… over all not a great experience

I was seated quite promptly (however had to ask about the option of sitting outside).
The server was friendly, and was prompt with coffee and water. However it took a while to be able to get a single refill (which I had to enquire about cream and sugar for the refill, only brought one of each with the initial cup). I also had to ask separately for a refill of water.
The food took a while to arrive. When it did, I had to have a mistake in the order corrected. I also had to ask 2 times about syrup after the food arrived (I ordered pancakes).

I know they are new, and the server was frazzled at times, but not the greatest experience.

I had a chance to visit Denny’s with my girlfriend recently. We were excited to try it because it had just opened up. Initially we had to wait about 10-15 minutes to get in, even though there were lots of open tables (maybe because of staff shortages?) After we arrived we were seated and helped by a very friendly server. She got us our coffees and took our orders. The food itself seemed to take a fairly long time to arrive. Once it did arrive there were a few mistakes (e.g. Hash browns vs fruit cup) but nothing major, so we didn’t complain. We did ask for condiments (hot sauce and ketchup,) however we only received the hot sauce, even after asking a couple of times. The food itself was okay, however it’ll be hard to compete with places like Red’s and OEB which are close by and are better quality. The on demand payment system they had was cool and made paying for the meal quick and easy. But that was pretty much the only thing that stood out. All in all the experience was okay, but we likely won’t be going back.

Had high hopes for this new location, but unfortuneately it took us over 30 minutes to even get our order placed and the restauraunt wasnt even half full.on top of this, never got my water refilled and our coffee saw 1 top from another staff member than our waiter.food was warm at best and had likely sat by the time we got it which took another while. Juice was watered down. I dont know I like dennies but at a total time to get breakfast and eat of 2 hours and a bill of $70 for 2 people i could have gone to OEB or somewere else with high quality service and ingredients. Quite a dissapointing Denny's experience at half the time and half the cost Id give 5 stars.

Excellent food and coffee. Our waiter was kind, polite and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu.
This is a new location for Denny's. I hope they will be around for quite some time

Terrible service. Food was okay but I have had better at Denny's. Server took my order, never brought water or the drink I paid for. She also couldnt be bothered to vheck on me, so I couldnt ask for water or the juice I paid for. Also why are you running a wait list when half your tables are empty? Then dont follow through on the waitlist and when people inquire about their table you tell them someone else took it? Wont be back.

We were in Monday July 12, at about 5 pm.we were greeted at the door, service was great, I liked the fish and chips and Banana Split. One suggestion, it is first week of stampede and lots of menu items were sold out. Thats my only opinion. Otherwise I will be back regularly. Thanks

Went there a week ago and Jack was amazing very personable. Went there tonight server was clueless and messed up the order thankfully the first time we went the service was good considering it was the first time we stepped into the restaurant since it opened

The experience was so lovely, the owner himself came and greeted us, our server was so amazing (we wish we could take her with us lol) the food was well seasoned and not bland like other restaurants. My sisters and I were throughly pleased and content especially with the music that was being played; it reminded us of home. Will definitely come again and again!

Amazing and outstanding service, great seasoned food and very welcome staff. The owner is is very hospitable and greeted my sisters and I upon being seated while making sure we are okay. I will visit no other Denny’s apart from this one.
