Great spot to kick back and enjoy some sun and river access. It's only about 20-30 minutes from the west end of Edmonton to Devon. There's a separate parking lot for trucks with trailers for towing boats. Washroom facilities onsite. Bring your own setup for day use (chairs, umbrella, garbage/recycling bags etc) Keep in mind that it's about a five minute trek from the parking lot down to the river and if it's busy then you'll need to walk further to find a spot. Most people are courteous and clean up after themselves. There's not many sandy areas, it's mostly rocky. Swim with caution and stay close to the shore. The current is strong and picks up towards the center and can sweep a strong swimmer away quickly. With all the boat traffic I wouldn't recommend swimming in the open water anyway. Paved pathways and hiking trails are in the area.
Neat & clean place, just very tiny place if you, your family or friends wanna enjoy by the river. It can get very congested in the weekends. But overall has very nice for biking and trails even park is very big perfect for gathering and picnic.
Been fishing here for years. It's my little home away from home. I know this place has many more weekend and evening inhabitants like myself. If you're looking for decent river fishing for multi species this is a great friendly place to do so close to south side Edmonton leduc Beaumont and Calmar.
Clean, tidy and well maintained. Can go to the beach by the river, tube down, or swim in river. Have a picnic at one of the many spots throughout the Park. Many awesome trails. Huge park for a town of 6000. And so we'll kept.
The water was nice and cool for a hot summer day hangout, enough space to not feel to crowded by your neighbors, the only thing to keep in mind was the wasps were really bad (my friend got stung in the first 5 mins we were there) but otherwise a great place to get to the water
Had such a great day at the beach this was such a treasure to find. Warm shallow water tubing down the river. The cliffs and scenery was breathtaking. Arrive early as parking fills quickly.
Love this park. It’s huge and stretched along the river nicely. Great trails and big open green spaces. It’s a shame that the skies are polluted by two oil refineries less than 2 km away.
So beautiful! Gorgeous beach with shallow water. Always check water advisory before swimming in any public water systems. This one seems very safe from what I can see. Lots of room for wading, and shallow swimming. As well as boat riding and a gorgeous valleyside in the background.
Lots of bike trails and there's a beach area as well. 1 star is missing coz there's only a few washrooms and kind of a drag especially when you are situated in the secret park
Nice an close, great place to cool off during a heatwave! The river starts off nice n shallow. Good for children n families. There is wuite a large shoreline so lots of space so you don't feel cramped. Plenty of parking n there's outhouse bathrooms n a little food truck too
11/10 for this place! Since moving to the city, my husband and I have been looking for a place to be able to relax by the river and let our daughter explore the water. This place has an amazing sandy beach with lots of space to spread out and meet up with friends. The water is calm enough to be able to paddle around in a dinghy and go swimming. Amazing place to hang out during these heat waves! I wish I had discovered it earlier in the year.
Calm spot by the N. Saskatchewan River to play in the water and soak up the sun. Bathrooms (outhouses) available near the parking lots. Big groups flock here and spend the entire day, be prepared to look for spots between them.
Great place to relax and have some water fun with the family, about 40 to 45 minutes away from NE Edmonton. Kids love the place. Water is pretty shalow which allowed the kids to play in the water. We had picnic along the river side, which was great!
There isnt many picnic tables so might as well bring your own or come early to secure a picnic table. But over all, an excellent experience!
Quaint little area with nice walking path! Not a very extensive trail but it was nice for a quick walk & it also had a series of stairs in parts. Very peaceful & recommend going in the morning before families and larger groups start pouring in. The beach area wasn’t too shabby & they also had a boat launch for those who want to go on the river.
Great place for a walk. Trails- rough and estabiished, shoreline, paved paths. This park has it all. Beautiful rock face across the river from main beach area.
Great spot for the littles to play and cool down. Also has a large green space for throwing a frisbee around. Even the older kiddos appreciated the opportunity to cool down. The older kids were a little frustrated with the water gun feature in the middle as it didn't seem to work very well, bit they still had fun.
Bring water and trail mix to this hidden gel of a park. It's usually not crowded. This area is quieter than the boat launch and bridge area. Road goes down hill at River Of Hope Baptist Church which is behind the car dealership. Snacks can be purchased at the top of the hill in town. There is a donut shop and a food truck.
One of the most beautiful and tranquil locations in the Edmonton Region. You can walk the trails; launch a boat, canoe, kayak, etc from the boat launch; splash around in the water; sit on the shore of the river; enjoy a picnic; and so much more! Don't forget to bring your bike and try out the Riverview Bike Park. There are firepits for the public to use as well as picnic areas. This beautiful park is also the beginning of the River Valley Alliance trail which will take you from Devon through Edmonton and finish in Fort Saskatchewan. Many events take place here, including RiverFest, happening August 10,2019. Voyageur Park. A little bit of tranquil nature just minutes outside of Edmonton, in the beautiful Town of Devon!
Movie in the park was an awesome experience. Brought our chair, snacks and blanket and watched this months feature movie Coco. Voyager park also connects to great hiking trails and access to the river with a boat launch. Fun for the kids to fish, lots of parking and great picnic area and lots of space to run and play.
Nice place to come and relax by the river. We prefer it during the week as it can get quite crowded on the weekends. Good parking, bathrooms. Not much for beach, unfortunately.
