It's been under renovation for the last 9 years. They've literally built skyscrapers in less time than it's taken for this place to be fully accessible again. From what I can tell, it's not even improved! Just bland where it used to be an indoor jungle. Most of the pools they added are empty, 2 of them have coy in them but the rest are basically puddles.
Excellent beautiful. A fantastic idea. Beautiful to look at, a quiet oasis under the roof, pure relaxation. The other centers in Germany should take a look.
Roof top garden. Ambiance is great, the kids love it, beautiful photographs and all done from inside a building. It is a good place to read, relax, have a meal. Even the kids have their play set. All in all a good stop downtown
A fun little "garden" area that you are free to explore and enjoy. They have many "tropical" looking plants, and you can smell the plants inside the gardens. There's a "living wall", with different places growing all along the wall, and there are fish in a couple areas of water. A great place to relax with friends or visit some "nature" on a cold/rainy day!
Such a nice place to grab some food and sit in the beautiful greenery, and warm air of the garden. One of the nicest places in downtown Calgary to visit.
IMO the old Devonian gardens was better. Felt more wholesome. But this new concept is nice but it doesn’t live up to the one I grew up with. I feel like you can’t even hold a wedding there anymore.
Great place for a family visit: lovely greenery, quiet place to read or have a bite, fish pond for pondering, playground for kids, food court - a destination for all seasons!
I really enjoyed that there was both a walking area, as well as a seating area at the back. There was a bit of a humming/buzzing noise at the back that would have driven me nuts if I planned to spend a long time there though, but otherwise it was great to see the well-maintained greenery space inside the top level of a shopping mall.
Nice open walkways and greenery. Worth a visit when around downtown, and in a convenient locations. Large green walls and traditional art make the space feel modern. Could've used a bit more lighting, was a little dim even on a sunny afternoon.
The website says closing time 18: 00 so we planned to be there 40 min before but sadly it was closed at 17: 00. I wish the management was considerate towards potential visitors
An amazing and serene place. With beautiful roof top trees and flowers that would keep you wondering how the trees actually grew. It's convenient for meet ups, chats, studying, time out to think. Even with the amount of people there, you can still have your quiet thinking moments. It's beautiful. It has children area where they can play too.
There needs to be no more masks masks are symbolic of taking freedom of speech away and its abusive to wear masks protect the children from fear of illness our immune system is immortal and children learn from early ages how to communicate through facial expressions we did as children thats how we first learned to communicate was through facial expressions
Amazing, great to see so much plant life in the heart of a concrete jungle. Beautiful date spot, just be careful the stores near by will make you pockets hurt
Not the same anymore, but still a nice spot to sit and relax. I remember back in the day when they had the Skating Rink! So much fun! I sure do miss it. Now, I come here sometimes and sit where the skating rink use to be and I think about my Grandmashe use to take me skating there weekly. Happy Times & Happy Memories. Jan 23,2021 - update- they also need blown glass garden area like they have in Seattle. That will make the area more eye catching and pretty!
The renovations are really nice, but it has lost of nostalgia for me. The old gardens had so much wild overgrown Neverland charm. It was like a maze you could get lost in. I feel like they just set it up to profit from events and private functions
Ugly, boring and modern! Huge let down.i don't get why people give it such positive reviews, i guess people have no taste nowadays and like modern compared to what it used to be! It looks NOTHING like what it USED to be, it was SO much better before! It was big, tropical looking, spacious, beautiful, and had waterfalls, statues, all sorts of plants and flowers and it was like being in a beautiful tropic serene garden! People even used to get married here because it was so beautiful, now the whole entire place looks dull and boring, they completely destroyed it! I am really disappointed and angry about this!
I hate it! It looks so boring and plain and modern, they completely ruined it! It looked better before, they shouldnt have changed it and left it the way it was, it's so ugly and plain now!
Lovely greenery; well laid out. Wheelchair/stroller access and a little playground. Little tables scattered throughout. Too bad it doesn't take up the whole floor.
When it's actually open, interesting wall art to view. Large living wall. Large koi in the ponds. Great place to take 5 from the hustle and bustle of down town. Well cared for.
Beautiful, serene, great ambience. Love the plants, the play area for kids, fountain and the entertainment hosted there every now and then. Definitely a place to visit in Calgary
The 4th floor of the mall has beautiful gardens to sit and relax. It's free of charge of course. Theres also a nice playground for kids. Not much to do there just see the gardens and walk in the mall
Little oasis in the heart of busy core downtown. Great for a short stop or a study session. Can become very busy and can get rented out for private events. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. Grand piano available for anyone to play- a nice touch!
The garden is an excellent place to study during weekdays. It's quite beautiful, serene and a good break from the harsh winters of Calgary. It's specially beautiful where the Koi pond is. Overall if your looking for a pictureque place cheap I would highly recommend.
