Dinosaur Trail Golf & Country Club

I brought company from out of province to have the experience of this wonderful unique course. I was thoroughly disappointed that they were blowing out water line on the entire front nine. They were also leaf blowing to the point we lost several balls in the middle of the fairway. I understand this has to be done, but to have to pay full rates for this was terrible. The back nine was absolutely beautiful.

The front nine is good, it's pretty average. But the back nine is phenomenal. Such a challenging 9 holes, make sure you pack a few extra balls.

I have played golf all over North American, and Dinosaur Trail is one of a kind. The views in the back 9 are amazing, however the course is average. Greens, fairways and tee boxes are what you would find in a local Muni. Bare spots all over, and the greens had large sections of dirt and dead grass. Carts are really beat up, and the cart paths are rutted and brutal. The back nine, is extremely hard to play as the wind is ever present, and most shots are blind into very small landing areas. There was no water or drink card to be found, making for at tough couple of hours in near 30⁰ C weather. Come for the view, but playing the course was Meh.

I was visiting from out of town with my wife. I booked for 6pm on a Thursday. Thursdays are men's nights but the pro shop was able to get me on the back nine. No problem taking my wife along for moral support!

The back nine was what I was there for. It did not dissapoint. Very very tough nine holes. Some extremely narrow and long par 5's. The par 4's were also narrow with no room for error for the 1st shot. The par 3's were just as tight with small greens.
The cart paths have been repaired in places which is good because the paths are rough. The greens were good for a desert course. The views though are spectacular! One of the most difficult to play but also the most beautiful and intriguing courses to play.
I loved it. I did not play the front 9 due to the men's night.
PS. Take lots of extra balls. If you miss yours shots then the ball is gone. The rough consists of big dropoffs, deep ravines, giant coulies, and a few nasty water hazards.
This course will challenge, frustrate, and amaze you.
The best part is, it's only $25 after 6pm and that includes a cart!

A new level of golf. A well maintained course and excellent staffs.

Very challenging if you're not a straight shooter. But the biggest plus, is the scenery. The beverage cart staff are frequent around the course too.

Back 9 is incredible, kart/ drink girl needs to go around far more frequently. Also, good idea to have someone going around doing wellness checks. I could easily see someone going down from heat exhaustion oh the back 9

Definitely not for the faint of heart but I never back down from a challenge and oh boy a challenge I got but I am definitely coming back

One course and two different 9 hole experience. Front 9 is typical nice course and then the back 9 is insane. Tight fairways and you must hit each or bring lots of balls with you lol.

A must play!

Only came for a drink or two because we lost intrest in the Tyrrell museum. This golf course is beautiful, the staff is polite, and watching the different golfers was very entertaining.

Such a great course, everyone is always surprised by the unique back nine. Backshop staff were very helpful and the beverage carts go over the top to ensure you're fed and hydrated during your round. That being said we went through 3 power carts due to failures during our round. There was also some weird tipping practices going on with some of the older members and the pro shop.

Absolutely beautiful golf course! I will be returning.

The management and staff are incredible. They are extremely welcoming and work very hard to ensure all guests feel like members.

The food and drinks are awesome and very fairly priced.

The proshop is also quite fairly priced and you can pick up plenty of merchandise with the club logo on it as well as ROLO GOLF brand clothing.

Love the course, especially the back nine which is amazing to play. However there are no marshals on the course at all, we watched the foursome ahead of us take 25 minutes to get to the first green from tee box before we skipped the hole and passed them. Smooth sailing from the until we got to the 18th tee where a sixsome was using it as a driving range and had to wait 20 minutes for them to find all their balls. Having a marshal here is the only way these problems are going to get fixed…

Course wouldn't honor golf pass coupon, wish we knew before making the drive from edmonton, golfed, but will never go back!

Nice typical opening front nine, which then doesn't prepare you for the target golf that is required for most of the holes on the back nine.

The front nine is the typical tree lined golf course. All these holes build to the wonder that is the back nine. The back nine is so unique, you’re playing atop the Hoodoo formations which make you feel like you’re on Mars. The course is fantastic and is a definite must play.

The course is great a bit more challenging on the back nine.but the views especially with fall colors just Beautiful. It serves food but wouldn't count on it we tried for breakfast and the offered a hot dog

We love this course. Used to play it all summer when we had a trailer site at Hoodoo RV resort but try to get here at least once a year.

Challenging back 9 on a well cared-for course. Different than your normal course. Worth traveling for!

Amazing gem of a golf course. We went in the fall when the rest of Alberta was in winter prep mode and it was still gloriously warm and sun baked at this course. Like a little slice of Phoenix at home. The front 9 and back 9 are totally different courses. Enjoy the scenery, forget about your score. Thank me later. Pro tip: use the groupon.

It's a beautiful course, the back 9 my god it's amazing this is a challenge every golfer should experience. I highly recommend this course and hope people support it.

Back 9 super hard but amazing views and super wicked landscape. Its out of this world type landscape id highly recommend it. Get a full 18 like the back 9 and it'd blow everyone's mind. Loved the friendly, proactively helpful staff. Riley's course tips were a great help.

A very contrasting front and back nine, and both are beautiful and fun! Very friendly and hospitable staff. Well worth the visit. The back nine is unlike any course I've played.

Great price awesome views and the course was is tip top shape. Clubhouse has a great brunch too!

I did not go through out the trail but I really like the small church. It is simple but you can feel the sacredness and the dedication of who made it.
