I highly recommend any of the services that Distilled offers. I have tried many services and always feel amazing when I visit (and even more beautiful after a service!) The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and the space is amazing - refreshments and snacks are a huge plus. It's such a great spot to visit if you're alone or with friends. Shoutout out to Lisa & Lachlin for always making me feel so welcome whenever I visit!

Polish quality has gone downhill with the new stuff they use. Offering to fix it in 7 days is only okay of you live close /are willing to drive and put up with Marda loop traffic for nail chips.

I by accident walked into the shop when it was closed as I didn’t notice the notice on the front door and the owner graciously welcomed me in and despite being closed for the day still made me a latte! Little did she know I was having mom guilt for leaving my new born at home for the first time, so thank you Lisa for making my day (:

I’ve been to Distilled Beauty Bar on a number of occasions, and each time I am impressed by the ambience, staff and food. Whether it is for a girls spa afternoon, a quiet business meeting, or a space to sit and enjoy a quiet moment to yourself, this space offers it all. Their service variety is extensive, the staff are kind and attentive, and the lattes and feature sandwich are outstanding. I have even had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with the owner, Lisa, who treats every customer like family and goes above and beyond to provide a great overall experience. I always look forward to my time at Distilled and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a space to host a get together or sneak away for some ‘me time’.

Lovely atmosphere, the coffee was delicious, and my hairstylist was very nice and easy to talk to.

The haircut I received has more or less devastated me, though. I gave them three pieces of information about what I wanted done with my hair, and none of them were achieved.

I got a gel shellac pedicure here for my birthday. The drinks were delicious (highly recommend the margarita!), environment was beautiful, and the pedicure was enjoyable and well done. However, within a week, my purple polish became splotchy, discoloured, and greyish. Frankly, it looks quite bad. In all my years of getting pedicures, I've never had this happen. Usually shellac stays intact and looks great for several weeks. The prices here are higher than average, so I am incredibly disappointed with the quality.

Took advantage of their $159 glowing skin promo and cannot say enough good things. Jen did the facial and she is absolutely amazing! Plus that deal is unreal, wasn’t expecting all the services it included! Everyone there was so very lovely! 12/12 recommend and will be going back for sure!

The customer service here is immaculate, the staff here never fails in making their customers feel welcomed and accommodated. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice new coffee shop!

Came for some side by side pedicures last week and they were LOVELY! The pedicures themselves turned out so nicely, and the staff are friendly and highly skilled.
Also love that they have a coffee shop & bar in the boutique - we loved having a mimosa during our service. Will definitely come back!

I got a perfect pedicure done by Mila. The massage was so relaxing this girl is a good professional she is nice and friendly food and drinks are delicious. I am completely satisfied with the service at this establishment.

My girlfriend and I had and amazing experience and visit regularly for date night. Will recommend to all my friends and parent friends!

I had a facial with Jen, what an absolute gem! It was such a relaxing service. I always enjoy my facials at Distilled. I was so impressed when I walked into Distilled Beauty Bar! I loved the look of it and the ambiance was so relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming! I had the most amazing 90 minute facial from a very talented esthetician. I enjoyed it so much and can’t wait to have another one in the near future. I recommend you give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I really enjoyed the experience here Distilled. First time getting a sports pedicure here. The service was great, really kind staff and the opportunity to order drinks or coffee while you're there is also a nice touch. I would highly recommend to friends.

We had our Christmas party at Distilled and the service, atmosphere and food and drinks were all top knotch! It is evident that Lisa (owner) and her staff are committed to delivering a 5 star classy experience from start to finish. My staff loved being able to relax and have mani’s & pedi’s, food and cocktails and exchange gifts on a snowy Sunday afternoon. I can’t recommend this place enough for an event, or a solo experience. This is one of my absolute favorite beauty bars to visit for nails and pedis! Excellent customer service, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and yummy coffee + snacks (and wine). Highly recommend.

My wife and I went to Distilled. While she was getting a facial, I enjoyed a delicious Old Fashioned (or two) prepared by the owner. The atmosphere was relaxing and my wife was very happy with her facial. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

A few of us moms stopped in for a drink after a mom and baby class. We had been there for at least an hour with happy content babies and then my baby got a little loud and fussy as babies can be and had only just started getting loud when the server came over and ask if I had a soother I could give him.the server indicated that they have a spa and the people in the spa were trying to relax. I have never felt more uncomfortable in my life, as a new mom the most stressful thing is having your baby start getting loud, so to ask if I had a soother essentially telling us to quiet our babies or leave is appalling and rude. I understand places may not allow children or babies but there was nothing indicating that. So maybe if you aren’t okay with babies put a sign up instead of telling us our babies are to loud. I hope no other parent had to feel the way we did.

UPDATE:
If I could rate zero stars I would as of now. Especially if you read the response from this establishment. The woman in charge went as far as contacting my work because of my review to get “ahold” of me. I was offered a refund and then she pretended she did not offer (which I would only take because she contacted my work to get ahold of me, very unprofessional). No service provider was left shaking or anything. The service provider was embarrassed because if I wasn’t trained in this field, I wouldn’t have probably noticed the unsanitary practices. Then I was threatened with legal actions just like every negative review or low star rating here. Highly unprofessional do not recommend and have all the proof on email which is just evidence of how low the management is and reflects on the business itself. Especially if this is how a “reputable” business responds.

I am a certified and current medical esthetician so I am very conscious when trying new places. Honestly this was not a great experience. I came in with a group and my service provider, Q, was 5-10 mins later to starting me after everyone else. She then had a dirty nail bit (arbour band) when asked if it was clean she proceeded to tell me it was. But you could see the nail dust in this band. Then dropped a buffing block on the floor and used it on my feet. She nicked me multiple times with the drill bit. And then scrubbed my feet for 2 mins because she said she was behind. Literally applied the scrub and didn’t scrub. My massage was super short because she said she was behind on time and had to do the next client. Not my best experience. But the star rating is for the service of the gentleman working. He was amazing with service and reccomendations of things to do in Calgary as we are not from the city.

The shop looks amazing a very unique place to get your nails pampered. We are satisfied with the professionalism, cleanliness and performance of Queenee one of the staff, thank you!

Distilled is an amazing business where you are treated as a valued customer and receive exceptional service. It is a small business, not a chain store, and from the coffee house to the beauty bar, the owners and staff work hard to provide the best menu choices, beauty services and products to its clientele. I am a regular at Distilled and would recommend it to everyone! Enjoy!

I’ve been into Distilled many times and tried several of the services they offer. Each visit has been fantastic! Most recently I got a gel pedicure and now, almost 6 weeks later, my toes look just as perfect as the day I got them done. The staff are super friendly and the wine and cocktails don’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This place is top notch. I used to manage spas and i am rather picky with aesthetic services and i would give Distilled more than 5* if i could. All the staff are lovely but i keep returning to Mila and i love my pedicures from her. The coffee is also amazing.

Came for my first hydra facial and had the best experience. Lisa is so entertaining and professional. Everything from the decor to the service is top notch. Will definitely be back.

My daughter surprised me with a pedicure day for us for my birthday! We had a glass of wine and a charcuterie board that was fabulous. The ladies were lovely and the service I received was great wonderful. I’ll go back for sure

I stopped in for a quick drink to go and they talked me into the coffee tonic. (Not really, I asked about it). Orange juice and coffee. Weird but surprisingly good. The little breakfast sandwich was a bit steep for what it was (also its cheaper on skip?) But tasty with friendly service.

Well things did not started well. I call and made an appointment the day I have my appointment I drove all the way to the place and oh surprise I didn't have any appointment. My name was not even registered in the system, even though the girl who answered to my call and took my appointment asked me for ny credit card details ans everything. I had to make a new appointment and will have to drive again.basically that time of my day was wasted

Distilled is a beautiful space to enjoy incredible services with great food & drink options. The pedicures and hydra facials are my favourite. They also carry beautiful and unique jewelry, candles and goodies perfect for gifts or treating yourself ️

Distilled is the best place to go in Calgary for pampering. The staff are so friendly and great at what they do. You can trust their expertise. I also the love the cafe.

The most incredible space! Not only are the services top of the line, the space is serene and inclusive, their food and drink menu are to die for, but above all, they have the most professional, knowledgable and warm hearted and sociable human beings giving you the highest level of service you could imagine. The experience in its entirety is nothing else you've ever experiences, from booking the appointment, to walking in the door, to being treated, to having a sip of bubbly. I cant recommend them enough. Its the ONLY place ill get the heat sculpting and my nails done.

This place is very aesthetically pleasing, food and drinks are fabulous. Everyone is so accommodating you really feel taken care of. I also had a pedicure with Britney and it lasted over a month. I was very happy. Would recommend this experience to anyone!

Just had a hair colour and cut with Terrin. We began with a consult and talked about my hair goals. She listened to what I wanted and gave great suggestions. During my appointment she and I had excellent conversation and she was very knowledgeable about hair styles, techniques and products. I am soooooo happy with my colour and cut. My favourtie spot for breakfast and mani/pedis! Great food, drinks and people. If you haven't checked this place out yet, make sure you book a gel mani/pedi with Queenee and order a bottle of wine during your treatment. The atmosphere will not disappoint!

I love Distilled Beauty Bar! I have been going since they opened and I tell my people it's like my Cheers! It's a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy solo, or enjoy a catchup with friends. Sometimes I think I'm meeting friends just because the staff is so friendly and welcoming! I've had a number of their services, mostly repeatedly, and have learned a lot about skin care too - extra bonus. I look forward to my visit every time.

Great cafe and beautiful salon mash up. Delicious food and beverages and the salon staff are all very nice and talented. Perfect little spot to go for a girls pampering day or to pamper yourself with a blowout, Mani or pedi and a latte. They also have a small bit of cute retail items like jewelry, beauty items, cards, etc.

Worst place ever. Service was over priced and overrated. We were told different answers by different people why they cannot do certain nail services. At the end, a simple gel overlay cost 78, and was told during payment more high end nail service is in fact available, no apology was offered by the staff.

Such a great place to go to treat yourself to one of their services or just run in to grab a coffee. I’ve enjoyed coming here since they opened and there is no where else like it in Calgary. Love the products they use and always happy with my service.

My favorite cafe serving Rosso coffee. Excellent service. It's only downside is crowded seating. It's really a spa first with a seperate cafe area second. Still, they are so great people they deserve five stars

Worse service i have ever got, the owner (lisa) doesn’t care about customers choice and satisfaction it was my birthday gift and she spoiled it saying we have salary paid staff here there is no one extra sitting at back and we don’t do jazzy and tacky work here (i asked for chrome nails) hate this place specially owner and staff doesn’t know wats the requirement of client and they refuse to do what we ask for.

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE ever. If there is an issue with your booking you can expect the worse treatment possible. The owner is rude and completely doesn't care about preserving you as a client.

I can't comment on the quality of the treatment because we never got a chance to try. We were pretty much kicked out.

Don't ignore the 1 star comments. By reading the owner's responses to these comments you can derive how you will be treated. The owner and staff would rather to send you away and lose you as their client than offer a sincere apology and an appropriate solution.

This is such a great spot to go to, the spa services and food menu are excellent and the chance to sip a mimosa during a pedi is too good to pass up. The staff are also friendly and helpful when it comes to booking groups and events in.

It's a very nice modern place to have a coffee and socialize with friends. Their Beauty part gets busy around 12: 30. So be sure to plan for it or around it to be sure to have the best experience.

I see some of the reviews about the owner and I chuckle! She is very passionate about her customers and her team! Love that she stands up to bad customers and is not afraid to ask them to leave.

I’ll start by saying. When something goes wrong with a booking.there are good ways and bad ways to handle it. The owner at Distilled demonstrated honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It could have been so different.

Came here with friends for pedicures on a Monday. On arriving, it was clear the something went wrong with our booking and we weren’t booked. My friend was able to pull up the call log from her phone when she booked and even explain that the staff had taken her info and later called back to confirm they were able to accommodate 4 people.

When the owner came to talk to us about what happened, she insinuated that it was our fault that it didn’t get booked, and immediately explained that there was no way that their staff could have made a mistake (including some pretty unacceptable to share personal details about a staff’s medical situation). Reading through other reviews where instead of providing solutions or acknowledging that there might be room for improvement I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised at her approach. But I must say I’m still quite shocked at the laughably poor way prospective customers are treated by an owner who should have skills handling these types of situations.

Suggestion: a free coffee and a simple “I’m sorry I really don’t know how that could have happened” would have completely changed the perception here.

We booked a team event here and it was GREAT. Our group was quite big and Sudi was absolutely incredible and making sure that our group was perfectly organized and got all the treatments and pampering that we hoped they'd get. In fact, I'd probably say they overachieved! Food and Drinks were great too. Love the décor and the vibe. We will be back! Highly recommended.

The manager at this salon is extremely unprofessional. After booking appointments over the phone, we showed up for pedicures to find that the appointments were not in the system - not a huge deal, we assumed they just had not been documented properly and sat down to grab a coffee and see if they could fit us in. The manager came to talk to us, accused us of not booking appointments, gave several excuses about why they were understaffed, indicated that the receptionist definitely would not have taken a booking without getting all of our credit card details (clearly she did though, hence why we showed up for appointments), implied that we should have understood the booking procedures better than the employee we talked to on the phone, aggressively asked if we were saying she should fire her receptionist (we weren't), and indicated that she had customers who were more important than us. What could have been a simple booking misunderstanding, which can happen from time to time and would have been fine, was handled so unprofessionally by the manager that it became an experience which will ensure I never return to this salon. This is not an appropriate way to treat customers or run a business.

Here for a charity fashion show and tried to order a cup of tea as they have the door open. Was told I couldn't get tea because the glasses are expensive. They have a coffee bar but are only serving alcohol and water. Just noticed that the top row on their cabinets are full of PAPER CUPS!

Booked an appointment here 2 weeks in advance which they didn’t ask for any CC info and said they booked us in and everything was a-go. Show up for our appointment and it’s apparently not in the system and then the owner then proceeds to accuse us of not doing our booking properly, and blames us for the issue. Also accused us of saying that she should fire her receptionist when we said there just simply was a miscommunication. The owner barely apologized and completely burned this bridge. Will NEVER go back and give my business to this place. I would recommend you do the same unless you like feeling belittled.

I have been going to Terrin at Distilled Beauty Bar for all of my hair appointments since moving back to Calgary in the summer of 2017. Never in my life has anyone given me consistently amazing cuts! Terrin always listens closely to what I tell her and she sometimes has new suggestions for me. I have learned that I can always trust her because I always feel so fresh and beautiful after an appointment with her. She is incredibly stylish, intelligent, and well educated in her craft. Her passion definitely shows, and somehow, she keeps outdoing herself!

I've also gone to Distilled for manicures, pedicures, and brow/lash tinting. All their services have been affordable, efficient, and the staff are attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Distilled Beauty Bar next time you need to feel pampered!

This place is amazing and I can't believe I never heard of it sooner. So, my stupid poor time-management self decided to order food when I only had about 10 mins, and happened to do so after a big family just ordered. So I'm waiting and the guy is carrying out all these orders alone, and then he sees me and gives me money back for the wait!? Good god. Anyways, everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back to spend lots.

Distilled is my favourite place in town. The coffee bar has a cosy atmosphere, delicious coffee and snacks. It is a great place for a break on my own, get together with friends or a business meeting.
The beauty bar and the services and products offered there are fabulous. The treatments are performed by their professional and friendly staff while I get to relax, enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine.

I didn't try enough of their services to give a proper review. We only had mimosas which were mediocre and a bit pricey. However, this is the only place in Calgary that makes me feel like I'm back in NYC. The decor and concept are very new York and I love it. Due to this alone I'll be going back to try more services, Calgary could use a little more new York. The staff were really nice to us when we went and made us feel really welcome.

The atmosphere and setting are stunning. I simply can not get over how well Distilled creates that concierge like service for its guests. I am a firm believer in making the experience wonderful no matter what you do and Distilled does just that. Thank you for a great experience
