Dollarama

The best place for really affordable things for the home, garden gloves, wall clocks, mostly under $5

Store was being stocked at the busiest time of day.
Selection was normal like all other stores.

Update: I suspect this is one of the top Dollaramas in Calgary and usually gets the hot items. Consistently, I have found stuff here not found at other quieter locations. I make this my number one location for Dollarama.

This Dollarama is often fully stocked with in demand items. There's plenty of parking, so there's no worry about getting here.

The aisles are clean, and the staff takes time to sort and organize products. As well, I find that staff are knowledgeable and can easily tell you whether they have an item and where it is located.

And if it is important to people, they have no self checkout stations. The drawback is that it may take some time to get through a longer line during busy periods.

Overall, this is one of my favorite Dollaramas in Calgary.

Just for those reading the reviews this is my review on it, most of the people are complaining about no refunds and exchange and returns when they don’t the time to read the front or the RECIET they get after buying.

Well a bag is. 10 if you need another one, don’t complain when you can’t use your social skills to address something.

“Busy”

Well it’s a dollarama what do you expect? Low prices attract people, you’re not the only one allowed to go into the store.

Dollarama is right beside a workout facility and the Rec Room which holds a lot of people that come and go for snacks especially if there is a Dollarama beside it.

I’ve seen people complain about “efficiency” ok i get it but why complain unless you want your stuff breaking after picking 40 items to put at the counter, most customers i’ve seen in the line don’t have patience. Normals human beings take time with anything so unless you want your stuff breaking, it’s on you.

There can’t be an infinite number of staff, and not every staff is a cashier, some are returning items misplaced and given back at the counter which stacks to over 100 items which i’ve seen carts filled with items because of fellow customers which is truly sad, especially when customers put toys in food areas. A very unfair treatment towards Dollarama employees, expect the same treatment if you don’t treat the store of employees work well.

“It’s there job. ” and it’s also your job to be a respectable human being of society

This Dollarama gets busy everyday especially now being summer time.

Everything is great in this place but don't buy with your eyes closed. Not too much stuff and always empty shelves. No help around for you to find what you need.

It’s a clean, organized Dollarama. I think they should hire more people though. I went on a supposedly quiet time but there’s one cashier and there’s five, maybe six people in line. It took about 10 minutes to pay for my items!

Always check Dollarama first. So many regular items that are offered here at much better prices. I know quality is not always the best on everything but it is equally good an many.

They now after about 2 years of not having, now have the Duet candy bars back in stock! If you enjoy Twix candy bars.this is an excellent copy, cheaper and bigger than the regular Twix

Horrible service, I selected items too buy and at the end the cashier says cash only. Why couldn’t you inform customers at the door.

Product malfunctions but refused to return NOT even exchange! Ridiculous. Only buy things there if you expect no usage from the product spec. The holder in picture is USELESS. DON’T BUY IT.

The products offered are affordable for people looking for decent products.

I find it more crowded than other locations, better checkout lines management is required to keep things running faster for custmers.

These chain stores are mostly the same. Staff, stock and prices are pretty much identical across the board.

Geographic location usually dictates work-quality of staff & mgmt - this one is above average.

Went in for a card and walked out with 2. For an inexpensive store they sure put Walmart into second place in a few areas. Price is one of them.

Cheap prices, for cheap items. You pay for what you get. No returns or exchanges policy kinda lame, but expected from a place that sells cheap items. Luckily it's so inexpensive that you can replace things bought there fairly easily. Overall cool little knick knacks to be found from time to time.

Cleaner store, wasn't very busy, no long lineups. That was on a Sunday afternoon so your mileage may vary.

This store is huge, just huge. Stock is pretty standard for a Dollarama but there's a lot more of it. This store is great if you know the item is a Dollarama standard but you can't find it other Dollarama stores. I've had pretty good luck finding those oddball items at this particular store. The seasonal section at the Dollarama also seems to be larger when compared to the other Dollarama stores and better laid out. Staff seems newer but generally friendly and efficient. Wait times are minimal and lines near non existant. Decent store overall, but decent store for those hard to find items.
