Dollarama

This is a great Dollarama! I can get items here that you can't get anywhere else. My 10 calorie 750 ml cranberry juice, the nutura bites salmon topper (which my cats love) and we found sriracha sauce here!

Contains alot of everything. To list a few, cook ware beauty and hygiene products, toys and care items for cats dogs and children. Seasonal entertainment items, food items and more.batteries.

Excellent variety of all kinds of things, cookware, non-perishable groceries, electronics, crafts, stationary and toys. Always a huge selection of affordable season items and decorations.

I live across the street and I go here a lot, they always make you feel like your doing something wrong, I got surrounded like a swat team because I didn’t shell out 10 cents for their flimsy bags and accused of stealing things they don’t even sell, DONT SHOP HERE

Had a good selection of items but Dollarama it is not there are very few items that are any where near a dollar but a great place to grab a pop or a chocolate bar.

One of the big Dollarama’s I have been to. You can get almost anything here for a cheap price… The place is well kept and the staffs are friendly and are helpful… Good place to go!

Managers and supervisor are very unpleasant and unprofessional.
You seriously need to clean house and have a job fair! Hire NON aggressive leadership.
They should all take diversity training and anger management

I’m gonna explain to you this experience with you. It goes back to early this year when my mom went to into the Dollarama store with her partner and she had a confrontation with an employee. The employee swore at my elderly mom who is 90 years old.i’m not sure what kind of people they are hiring a Dollarama but obviously they don’t have the training or the kindness that is needed to be part of this organization. It is shameful and to be honest actually disrespectful to shame and lash out at an elderly person I called head office in regards to this and they cited with the employee obviously and now today my mom went in. She probably forgot because she is 90 and the lady told her to leave the premises and or she’ll call security very disrespectfully, and this lady should be fired out, everybody makes mistakes and I’m sick and tired of people that don’t own up to their mistakes. Shame on you, Dollarama for hiring people like that that represent you as a company that disrespects and and shows no kindness as a human being. My mother was virtually very upset from this situation and this is not the last of it.
As I see clearly in the other reviews, this should be a complete overall in the staff and manager at that store people go through and they get yelled and screamed at. First and foremost is that woman should get fired completely she should not be working with people.
Its just wrong for people to treat people like that. Do something about it Dollarama or I will. To treat an elderly person that way is wrong and it’s sickening to hear what happened today to my mother.

There are always a lot of seasonal decor items, and the prices are great. It's fun to check in now and then to see what's new as they are always getting different product.

A great place to find good priced small items, lots of selection of snacks, kitchen gadgets, gift items, bathroom essentials and more.

Went in to get some Candies before our movie only to hear one of the workers there yell at my kids for playing with a toy. Yelling at them to get out. The whole entire store could hear her. My 8 year old will forever be mortified. Go get some help lady. Your clearly unstable and unfit to be out in public.

Typical Dollarama. They had what we needed! This location was organized and clean. Not fond of the self-checkout.

On Feb. 22 a friend and I were followed by security as soon as we entered the store. We were looking for birthday party celebration items for my birthday which was that same day. The security then proceeded to follow us down each aisle. We asked him why we were being followed. We were laughing at funny items in the toy section and as we made our way to the last aisle, then he comes from behind us yells at us to leave the store and proceeded to say that we were causing a scene and were trespassing. I asked him why we were being kicked out of the store and he tells us that we were not shopping and “causing a scene” just because we were laughing inside of the store. I was obviously not aware that laughing is prohibited inside of this location. Two other Dollarama employees began to interfere as I was asking the security why we were being kicked out. We were then threatened to have the police and mall security called on us. All because we asked why we were being followed throughout the store the minute we walked in. I will never be coming to this location again, as we feel as though we were profiled for being indigenous and having backpacks on to carry our belongings as we used ETS this day. Avoid this store if you are an indigenous person, you will be followed and be made to feel like a thief and scum of the earth.

Today my daughter was in this location and her son who’s 3 opened a drink that my daughter was paying for. A very rude lady Linda who claims to be the manager treated her horribly accused her of stealing when she has not left the store. This location is the worst run location in Edmonton. I will be contacting my lawyer. I called Linda and without knowing me she rudely answered her and when I asked her name she asked why. I don’t know about you but when I answer for my company I let people know who they are speaking with. Linda has no phone etiquette and does not belong in customer service. I wish I could give 0 stars!

Employees are very disrespectful, treating customers in a very bad way. Specially ones at self check out. And she is very rude and Loud, she talk to costume like a kids in front of her

Possibly one of the most dynamic locations I've been to. The products are always moving yet its hard to find staff to ask where things are located. Stocking seems inconsistent as well but that's probably due to current events more than anything. Decently sized, staff are alright, range of products is okay. The whole store is okay, not great, but not bad.

The store is in the basement and the stairs, entrance and floor are very filthy also smell is not good

I can't get enough of Dollarama and I can probably say the same thing about each one. I love strolling around the store for those rare deals.

There are lots of great Dollarama groups, local and national where people share great finds at their local Dollarama as well as cool creative tips.

If I could I’d give this store zero stars! The employees were very rude and racist to me and my son. Someone was actually stealing! And they harassed us instead! Unbelievable this store should hire better employees. Never going back again.

Decent staff and cheap prices. It's the same as almost every other location. Cheapest sodas in West Ed and cheapest snacks too like chips and chocolate bars.

Great place but still has a lot of ups and downs, staff can be rude sometimes for no reason, but all in all it's a great store!

Go to for drinks when we visit the attractions. They're always fully stocked and have friendly staff members:)

For West Edmall, a manager or a staff was so rude blaming you for not checking properly of what you bought. My mistake was trying only one pair of the slippers and when I got home it was actually different size 36-37. I was hoping they can exchange it for me but since she gave me a bad impression, I left the slippers and told them to donate it. I am not gonna beg for this kind of customer service that's rude when it's only for 4 dollar. They should check their product properly since their store policy is no return no exchange. That worker don't deserve my 1 star but 0.

The management and staff here are the rudest people ever. They must be very unhappy with their lives because happy people don't feel the need to be rude and angry all the time.

. The self checkout lady is very rude, pushy and will not let customers pay for their items unless they watch you all over them. They told us to put the item in the bag without paying for it. It feels like we are going steal it. When addressing that to the keyholder, The key holder dealings with customers will not put customers first when its retail business. She told us that the self checkout lady never said that. This is going be sent to their upper management like their head office for their unprofessionalism and being disrespectful.

Man the stores are getting better by the day
You can buy all the name brands cheaper might be a little less in the package or different packaging but you can do all your basic shop and more for half the price and with a smile

While the store lay out is ok the staff can be horrid on somedays. Otherwise is a great dollarama. Prices are low and stock is normally good. Don't expect high quality stuff though.

Those ladies “working” self checkout are pretty rude and pushy. All I heard around me was “ma’am do this” “ma’am do that” “sir do it this way” ma’am you have to put the item down now” “ma’am you pay now” “sir you can scan the next item now” withOUT being asked for help. If someone asks for it absolutely help them but y’all take it a bit too far. At least be polite but seriously let your customers breathe.

Extremely rude staff! They need to learn to respect the people that shop there! Will never be back to this location I’ve never been so mistreated by someone in my life before! My 1 year old was crying at the self check out and I was told he needs to be quite or leave the store are you serious! Then got mad because I wasn’t scanning my items fast enough!

West Ed Dollar store is the best one in the city. They always have what I need compared to other Dollar stores in the city

Love the selection. It's my go to store because it most likely has what I need, and I can get through the checkouts in a zip. The staff are on the ball and always acknowledge me in a professional friendly manner. They're quick to tend to the self checkout stations and make their counts upon entering and exiting. I'm continually amazed at what can be found there for my home needs and wants, decor, crafts, tools, storage, packaging, office supplies, pet needs, food, bike and exercise equipment, and snacks. Didn't even mention clothing, toiletries, and the fun varied toy selection that kids, including me, would actually enjoy and want

There's nothing wrong with Edmonton tap water, but I come here for the NAYA bottled H2O from Quebec, when unable to find a fountain.

Good place for picking up cheap household stuff. Also, good for one time use items, like birthday parties or any sort of quick celebrations. Candy is cheap as well. Not much groceries, and don't know about their quality.

Recently I picked up monster cable branded LED backlit lights for the table. Came with a remote control even. They were four bucks, $15 online at other stores.

Usually when i go to this location the staff are never around to ask if you need help or anything, except the security guard. Hes followed me a few times and i play games with him when i have time to. Yesterday was different tho. I was there a bit before closing and 4 staff members let me know they were closing soon. All of a sudden they were everywhere. They rushed everyone out of the store that was shopping. They hearded us like cattle and blocked all the openings to keep us moving out. Most id ever seen any staff members here care about anything lol oh and they didnt have the drain clog product that they used to have. Which is why i went this time. Boooooo!

The emotional intelligence of the staff needs to improve.
We all need to treat each other with humility and respect.
Mindfulness is the new thing.

Got berated on bringing my bicycle to the store for not even 2 minutes. It was a simple in and out, not bothering anybody and was there during slow hours.

Good store lots of items at a reasonable price. It is I pretty big store for being in West Edmonton Mall! Lots of selection here! Staff can be hard to find though if u need help finding something.

I find myself going less and less often since every time I go it seems more and more items are 4 dollars. I find I am not saving much by shopping here now so I will just go to the other dollar store.

I give a -2 rating because of
1. Poor customer service; I noticed they're only nice to you AT the check-out but since the self serve, don't need to deal with anyone.
2. The security guy needs to stop following me; I actually went on 3 different occasions and he always followed me; I might just secretly record this as it almost feels like discrimination.

Great price as the name implies, not bad variety, not good shelves arrangement, and acceptable staff although no one is there to help you.

It’s exciting moving while navigating through the shopping centre l love it first things are affordable for everyone

The best place to find useful tools and crafts for kids. Saint Patrick's day is coming and the store has a full inventory of accessories for the party.

This store just went self service which makes some brutal line ups at weekend's apart from that it's ok I've been going here for years

I'll bet employees of the mall know to buy their drinks and snacks at this location. I guessed that when I saw how sold out their cold drink selections were. I recommend this store for everyone at Galaxyland. It's cheaper than bringing your own snacks and renting a locker. I didn't find the item that I came for, but appreciated that I could have a plastic bag. I did bring cloth bags, but ran out of space after a long day of shopping.

I've been here quite a lot, and the experiences vary from time to time. Usually the staff are friendly or at least smile but other times they throw breakable items into the bag like chips, glass jars, etc. The lines do diminish quickly though so that is one plus. This store isn't the most clean or organized store I've been in, a lot of product is thrown about the whole store or off the shelves in metal buckets where it shouldn't be.

Pathetic service. The store manager is so rude, impolite and unfriendly. She doesn't even know how to greet and speak with customers.
God help her temperament.

If i could I would give them 0 stars! My daughter and her friend where looking around while sharing a small fries, when an employee began to follow them around. No big deal, it was when this employee approached them. She informed my daughter and her friend no food is allowed and my daughter apologized she didnt see a sign hence her mistake, the employee retorted there was one at the front of the store. My daughter apologized again for her and her friends mistake and began to leave. Thats when the employee retorted "Good, I was going to call security and have you removed! " Seriously! My daughter got so scared she contacted me immediatly. I dont care who you are you have no right to threaten security on two young girls! Horrible
