Dollarama

It's small, but having convenience in downtown Calgary is a hard task. I was happy to find this place.

Convenient downtown location, clean, organized, and they had exactly what I was looking for. I did find it a bit crowded in there, though, with the small space.

My one stop shop and one of my favorite shopping places. Although items here are cheaper, I find them to be of good quality. Tried and tested. A lot of things in our house are from here. And so far I don't have any complain or whatsoever. This place is good for anyone who wants to save whenever they are out shopping for supplies. Because we all know how expensive even the simplest things can be, I just wanted to find something that's budget friendly.

Good place with so many products to choose from. I just need to look carefully at the products to see if there better options available if I am trying to save more. Nonetheless, everything are worth the price I am paying. I've already tried them a couple of times and they are very much good for use. Don't forget that the staff are nice and friendly too if ever any problem arise.

This place is good since whenever I go here I don't get disappointed because they got the things that I needed. Plus their products are affordable and in good quality. I haven't experienced regretting that I bought an item here. In fact I have been using the things that I bought here for quite sometime now and they are still going strong.hahaha.

A nice store, pretty neat and tidy if you ask me. Their products are properly stocked so as to avoid customers having a hard time looking for things. Good quality items for affordable prices. This is really what I needed especially when I'm on a tight budget and payday still is still far.

Having a wide variety of items and affordable price plus quality products made this place one of my favorites. My sister too love going here everytime we needed something. Good selection of products that are properly arranged for easy find. Like the staff too because they are nice and always ready to help.

Staff was very friendly and had a nice chat with the lady was not too busy so we had the time to have a little talk

This Dollarama is quite large, though it doesn't look it from the entrance. It is very clean and well stocked, and there is a choice of self checkout or a cashier. Staff is helpful. The only drawback is the stairs, it is in the basement and one has to go down a flight of stairs. While I had no problems there are people who would find the stairs troublesome, not to mention it's not wheelchair accessible. Unless there was an elevator hidden somewhere?

I found good paper bowls and cutlery for in car snacking for long drive to Banff jasper hiking.

Door buttons don’t work, it’s down a set of stairs and the elevator is out of order. If you use a wheelchair just scratch this location off. You are a second class citizen to them. Admitted this has been going on for a while and they don’t know when or if it will be fixed. Should be closed down IMO.

This is a great dollarama store, lots of great items that I haven't seen in other locations. However I do have a pretty significant issue.it is not wheelchair/scooter or walker accessible. The store is down a relatively lengthy set of stairs. Definitely a problemfor someonewith mobility issues. (There is an elevator, but it is out of order. I am not sure if this is temporary or will it be fixed). I use a walker and was unaware that it wouldn't be accessible for me. But I had just traveled by bus to get there and was not about to just walk away. A kind stranger carried my walker down the stairs, and a kind employee did carry it back up after I had done my shopping. For that I am grateful.

Great location in down town Calgary with just about anything you could want form a dallor store and more at a great prices. Dallarama might have just what you a looking for and more. Side note this location has self check out.

In the basement of old Woolworths building. Elevator often out of service so accessible only by full staircase.

Service: you are in charge
Employees: friendly enough
Security guard: would be nice if he/she would smile or say hello more often

Love this chain. Lots of useful stuff here at good prices. Tools that you would get at big chain hardware shops at 15_25 bucks you get here at $4

Inexpensive non-perishable food items. I am a regular shopper.love going there for the good deals!

The user pay machine ate my $20 bill told me I needed to pay $10 more when my balance was $19.87.it spat it back out i put it back in, ate it again. I asked for help and the employee came and retrieved a ten and said I only put in the $10 bill she pulled out.everyone was watching. I was embarrassed.asked for the manager she came and luckily she believed me and retrieved my 20 thank god for her.

It was aight. No lysol wipes tho. Staff was friendly. The only time I've gone in and never seen security.

I am still intrigued by this franchise. The store on Stephen Ave is clean, orderly and has some great bargains. Staff are all pleasant, polite and helpful if you need.

Debit only because of the virus, the one lady working helped me find what I needed and was very courteous and kind. Excellent customer service!

Absolutely, by far the rudest store with no customer service what so ever!

Paid for my stuff. I ended up missing/ loosing my wallet. I opened my back pack to find it and could not find it. The workers accused me and made me go to the front of the store to empty my bag. I could not believe it. I emptied my bag with my receipt and got lectured about leaving my bag at the front of the store. No apologies or anything. Very un professional and won't go back there again. Management should be ashamed.

The worst Dollarama in the city.
It's a rougher area for sure but that isn't what makes it bad.it's the staff! It's required that they have a bathroom to be available to the customers however they pick and choose who they let in. Honestly disgusting practice. Or they're just so lazy. The lines are always long.the store is dirty and when you ask for assistance here they act like they don't know what im talking about.
They seem so bothered with doing their job.

Conveniently placed in the heart of downtown, but the store is in a basement, no natural light which gives it a depressing feel. It’s cheap which is good but there are way better dolloramas.

A small store but they managed to stock a decent amount of various products in. Store is not wheelchair or stroller friendly, the elevator is usually broken.

This place does not have the best selection compared to other Dollarama.this is also one of the sketchiest Dollarama in the city.

Went to do some shopping and noticed that the store was selling liquor.

Being a licensed Security Professional and carrying certifications via AGLC, I looked for a liquor license at the front. To my surprise, there was none.

Will be phoning the store to talk to manager when I get home to ask about their liquor license.

Love this location. Everything is so organized in comparison to other dollaramas, staff is friendly, and helpful. They hardly ever have boxes in the isle of stock, so it is easy to get around

A lot of offers at very reasonable prices.anytime I visit Calgary a short visit with my wife.a safe and clean neighborhood to sightseeing.no doubt.

All Dollaramas are pretty much the same.
I tend to shop more at Dollar Tree because they are $ cheaper.
I also shop at independent $ Dollar stores because they carry different products than the 2 major $ Dollar stores mentioned above.

Great store and all but the security is the problem. They treat you like a tweaker no matter what. I get that theirs a problem with homeless and stuff, but know your limits lay off and don’t bother the normal people.not everyone is a problem and not everyone shoplifts.

Always had good experience there until today when we were followed through our whole visit trying to get munchies for the weekend and I was with my nephews 6 yr old daughter and it made me feel super uncomfortable to shop there. I used to come here lots but now because of this I wont be back. Seriously need to train your walkers better as I am a trained and licensed guard as well. Too bad there isnt 0 stars.

If you can handle going down the stairs great. If not with Wheel Chair sorry to say this but sucks or strollers.: - (

Really nice place for a store in a basement, stock is surprisingly varied and filled for such a small space, store is always really clean and well maintained. Staff is always friendly despite what seems to be a consistently busy store. Wait times can be a bit long but the staff is always trying to remedy the situation. Decent place to grab a few extra office supplies or party supplies.

Awful stairs. 2 cashiers on and 20 people in line. Always! Takes longer to pay than it takes to shop. Hate this place. There's a better one at 5 street and 5 ave SW.

Great selection of items. Buyer BEWARE! This store will NOT let you return or exchange any item. You don't know about this until AFTER you've paid because the ONLY place this is posted is on your receipt.

Shelves are always stocked unlike other dollar vendors I've been to. Calgary being a dense, populated, and spread out city as well, expect to wait in a line up for a period of time before reaching the cashier. If your a smart shopper, you'll purchase many household items at stores like this for a fraction of the cost at other retailers. Waiting time is worth is, selection is huge. Wander around you'll be amazed at what they have. Enjoy

Some quality name brands and other no name but good stuff. Did most of my Christmas stocking and some shopping.

Canadian Tire on 8th st has way better brands and better prices. Safeway and Walmart have better prices. Learn to do math folks.

Big Dollarama - employees were nice and the store was layout well. Not the cleanest Dollarama I've been in but was still a good stop.

The down town Dillar rama store is s 3. Due to very long line ups. Lots of homeless my even case the PLACE. Wht happened to the real $ stores?
