Worst dollar store, if I could give no stars I would. The place is very dirty and they don't have any self checkouts. The person at the checkout is very slow. This is not a place you feel welcome.
Security has gotten way too aggressive. They try to intimidate anyone who they think looks like they would steal. They leer at you aggressively and breathe down your neck. Today one of the security kept blocking my way and walking slowly in front of me blocking the way all the way across the store to try to intimidate me. I tried to pass him multiple times and he didn't let me pass him until I was at the end of the store. Like it's extremely rude how aggressive they are to people that have certain looks.
Went to Dollarama at Oliver Square for the first time. Very good selection of everything, fully stocked and store is clean. Found everything I needed. Associate at checkout was very good and friendly.
I think they are getting a little too expensive, normally when I go there I will spend $50 on the things I always bought. Now I am spending about $70 on the same stuff I always bought.
This location doesn’t have self serve checkout yet, and the line moves very slowly as they don’t ever seem to prioritize help at the checkout tills. The doors are also super heavy and open on weird sides. I mean, it’s Dollarama, can’t really expect much. However, there’s also another Dollarama literally a block away in the newer development in The brewery district that’s much more modern and newer conveniences so there’s options I guess
This store opens at 8 am and is conveniently situated in Unity Square area next to Tokyo Express with plenty of parking space. In need of a battery for the smoke alarm led me to this store; a range of Panasonic batteries right at the front of the store near the cashier so easy to find and at excellent price. Staff friendly as well.
This Dollarama has a great selection of items to choose from. I only gave 3 stars for the following reasons: 1) There always seems to be boxes/clutter in some of the isles. 2) Most of the staff are unfriendly and some are just flat out miserable. 3) There are never more than 2 cashiers working, even if there is a queue 15 people long.
I go to this Dollarama weekly and i am always happy with the helpful and kind staff, the store has a large selection of items and always has new products coming in
Only good thing is Store has great stuff for shopping. Bad because long lines with not Enough cashiers lots of the time. Isles have boxes on floor and blocking off isles alot. They never smile. And I've watch 3 people in the last month walk out with unpaid items and security does nothing.
Long aisles and no markers so you end up walking all the aisles to find what you want. Yay, except not. I did find my thing after the staff guy didn't know, I was in my sixth aisle.
Busy. Cluttered isles. Did not find everything I was looking for or expected. Lots of items did not have prices. Still giving it a four because generally this is one of my favourite dollar stores.
We all have bad days. And heck it is a pandemic kids.
Who doesnt love dollaramma plus this location isnt all self serve checkout they still have staff that ring thru your stuff. This one has lots of original cool awesomeness one of the best dollar stores
Full of people not wearing masks and no safety measures in place before the checkout line (the only place that has distancing floor stickers). I felt grossed out the entire time. WEAR YOUR MASKS, PEOPLE.
Couldn't find what I was looking for, Huge Selection, just if add up per item you are spending alot, they are doing well on the stock Market! *_, *#Hurricane
There was a guy outside on a small motorcycle bragging that he had no lisence. There was lots of what i assume were homeless around the door and along the wall. Some very shady characters as well. At first i thought it was a line to go in but it wasnt. It was just a regular thursday at Dollarama
You can buy things you can put on your tree n decorate your house or apartment with just to make your place look good so I highly recommend that people go check it out before Christmas ends
August 2020 One of the best dollarama stores in the city. Friendly and helpful staff! Great selection from housewares, treats, snacks, gardening supplies, clothes accessories, etc.
Like any store at this time you have to line up outside! At least it spring going into the summer weather! And not fall & snowing! Usually takes about 15-30 mins to get inside depending on how busy it is inside! They've got items for the gardener, to the person who loves to paint or construct! They've got cleaning supplies to kitchen supplies! Even food items and spices
‘‘Twas a fine dollarama. The wife really liked checking out all the different things. We bought popsicle moulds and make homemade fudgescicles in them.
Went there to quickly pick up some stuff, I expected that we would be told to stand at least 5 feet apart in line cause of the pandemic but nope everyone was touching shoulder to shoulder it was so busy! I talked to the manger and they started saying things like "Then just go to a different store" I really dont want to sound like a Karen but during this pandemic its very important to not make too much contact with strangers cause who knows where they have been:/ Its really disappointing to know that me (a 16 year old) Has to talk to the manger to ask them to follow the rules the government sent out (Being 5-6 feet apart in lines etc) Im not sure if things have changed yet but this was what happened when i was there maybe 3 or 2 week ago:/
Look this is not a store to doyout weekly shopping but it is clean and generally well stocked.a great place for a "treasure " hunt or to find those small items you didn't know you needed
Never really a good experience shopping at the Dolarama at this location, staff are way into themselves and among each other as a pack. I feel the occasional stares, snickers ill energy when I loyally shop locally. I miss the one cashier, she gets along with everyone she tills for, like family, I like her, she always makes a point to talk to me.
This is the best stocked, friendliest, and cleanest of all the chain. I bough Ester candy for my hair salon. Wrapped candy on theme is always a big favorite item. If you are a salon that does foils, ask yourself if you like $1.25 or wholesale prices of $30-40? I always by salon cleaners at about 1/3 the cost. Considering the whole planet is crazy for stock-piling toilet paper. But this store had everything.
Well Dollarama is large in Edmonton Alberta and there are many other locations east west North and South you will always find one these mega stores nearest your neighborhood.
3 stars because they have security now, still a really bad area though so I cant in good conscience recommend normal people go here. Feel like im gonna get robbed every time I go there with all the drug addicts floating around outside.
Always an entertaining time here, the security guard takes his job way to seriously and it's fun watching him stalk suspected shop lifters, he's like a ninja one second he's here the next second he's disguised in the shadows, you won't see him watching you until he catches you haha, crackheads beware don't steal from this store! Or do, it's amusing to watch you think your not being suspicious.
It's great if you're looking for cheap & cheap quality items, however there is never anyone working on the floor other then the security guard that's walking around.
Come here every so often good prices especially for those on a budget a wide selection of products and items 10 to 20 bucks can go along way here or for just a snack or drink on the go
I was just in this dollar store. And was verbally abused by security staff. The supervisor on call did nothing I am a first national person, who happened to be walking by a security officer. I stopped and looked at him. Wondering what he was up to. Another officer came and starting yelling at me. First time in there and last. Do not need toilet paper that bad. Racial profiling 18 yrs sober by the way.
A big Dollarama store with a huge selection. This is a very busy store and carries items not found at other locations. There is a large selection of food at this location. The lineups are quite long during the busy times. There is a huge parking lot outside.
Dollarama has excellent affordable products. Betty Crocker bakeware (i.e. $4 for a medium or large cookie sheet) and foodwrap are reasonably value priced.
This dollarama is by my dads place in oliver and this location is smaller then other locations I've been to.the cashiers were really friendly and I was able 2 use the 100 bill I got from my dad whereas other places such as 7-Eleven doesn't accept them
It's one of the more decent dollaramas, has a huge variety from cleaning supplies to food/snacks/pasta sauces etc, storage organizers, toiletries, arts and crafts, gardening, clothing, school supplies, toys, party supplies and even pet stuff! Only down side is my shopping addiction gets the best of me and I always end up spending atleast $50 or more! Now that could be because their items are rarely $1, more like $1.25 -$4.00 but there are a few items for a buck I suppose!
PS. FYI THEY HAVE A HUGE BOTTLE OF SIRACHA HOT SAUCE FOR $2.50!
It's a typical dollar store, has some great deals on thing like soap or other minor things that you can save a couple dollars compared to big stores. Be advised though for anything electronic or with lots of parts, it is a dollar store so you kind of get what you pay for.
The only thing I hate about this store is that one secirity guy who takes his job way too seriously and treats everyone as a potential thief. Sometimes I see him HIDING and watching people. I understand that some people do steal from there but his behaviour is just very unprofessional AND creepy.
Stock shares are consistently going down, probably due to prices in store that are going up. I find staff to be universally indifferent to their clientele, not a positive attribute in today's retail competition. Good luck with that Dollarama!
Friendly staff and lots of choices. This place is very clean and organized. I love the location as well. Prices seem to be cheaper then other places I've gone.
