I purchased my first GMC with Carter at Don Wheaton today. I was very impressed with Carter's professionalism, kindness, attention to detail and care that he brought with him to work today. The entire time I felt safe and well cared for. As a woman buying something from a dealership for the first time I cannot recommend Carter enough. There are a lot of greasy salesmen out there I wanted to avoid considering I am a widowed single parent of 4. This purchase could've been emotional, fearful and disingenuous.instead it was a comfort to walk through this process with Carter. Thank you for helping me get my kids into a safe ride, and helping me navigate the first big purchase of my new life since the death of my children's father. Carter was fantastic, he has been with me for a couple months trying to get the right vehicle I wanted. Once we found one he was always there to get answers I needed every step of the way. There wasnt an option to post zero stars as they dont even deserve the one. I'm not one to think it's worth reviewing anything but I feel very strongly that people should know what they're getting themselves into especially with such a large purchase. We know a lot about vehicle sales and how the whole game works and it is extremely sad when what you think is a reputable car dealership lies to you on many different levels and tries scamming you with fake pricing. I get that it's a business and everyone needs to make money but then there is just pure greed and dishonesty and the sales team at Don Wheatons shocked me with the way they tried to swindle more money by making it look like they're trying to give you a deal on paper but in actual fact just lied and created bogus charges to keep their gross profit the same. It was actually sickening and we gave them the chance to be honest and give us their best price. It's just sad to know that they tried taking advantage of us. Luckily we have numerous decades of experience purchasing numerous vehicles so to think how regularly they must take advantage of people and lie and scam the average person that spends way less and way less frequently because they're not a business and can't afford the luxury of trading up into a new vehicle as frequently. This is really pathetic and Don Wheaton should take a look at their sales team, mainly the managers as they are the ones that are strategically approving or coaching their sales representatives in how to swindle their customers. Anyhow, we purchase just over 15 vehicles every 2 to 3 years and they have lost that business and I hope they rearrange their sales staff and selling procedures before more people lose a good portion of their hard earned money. We ended up going to a reputable dealer and purchased 3 higher end vehicles and the service was amazing and it was very clear that their sales team wasn't trying to lie to us so they will be getting our sales and service for a fleet of 15 vehicles. Don Wheaton, you can do better, you know better!

The service in this dealership is just amazing. It seems you are buying a Rolls Royce. They make you feel special and at all times they are attentive of your needs. I really appreciate the manners, patience, courtesy and tact that William had while in charge of us. His professionalism is outstanding. Buying a car can also be an experience and thanks to William it was like that. I also want to acknowledge the excellent service provided by Chantal. I called about a truck they had for sale but it ended up selling. Was a little disappointed but my sales guy Melvin wanted to make it right. We looked at a few different trucks and finally we got something worked out on a beautiful 2018 Chevy LTZ. Melvin my salesguy and dileep the finance manager were absolutely outstanding. Best experience I've had with a dealership. Drove 7 hours to pick this truck up. They picked me up at enterprise where I dropped my rental and off we went to get my truck. 12/10 wouod recommend these guys!

BUYER BEWARE, on any new or used vehicle Don Wheaton's charges $995+GST catalytic converter etching hidden away in all the extra add-on's charged. If you go to any one of dozens of participating dealerships or associated businesses in Leduc County you can have this done for free. I feel scammed and was denied my money back when I discovered this was in my purchase price. For me icing on the cake is that the mechanic or a thief cannot access the catalytic converter on a 21' C8 Corvette so the etching had to be done on the heat shield.

Be careful when buying a vehicle here. They advertise MSRP on their website, and add $30-40,000 at the finance office. GM has been notified and I’ve sent in my proof. Lady stated they will cut their allocations for new vehicles if they indeed tried to scam me out of tens of thousands of dollars. BEWARE!

Visited for a transmission slipping issue, even went on a test drive to show the technician what was wrong. They kept the car for two days and all they got back to me with was "the cars normal. " They treated me like I kept coming in with non-existent issues, so apparently Cadillacs aren't supposed to drive smoothly. Either the technicians are unqualified or the management is crazy for money (it was still under warranty so they weren't getting paid). I'll be trying a different dealership.

What a great experience all around! I’ve never had such a good time buying a car. I needed a new vehicle and this dealership made it so easy. Took my vehicle in and gave me a great deal for my trade. The finance manger worked the numbers with me. My sales person Robyn was amazing, she found me everything I wanted. I was so impressed with all the bells and whistles I got with my purchase. Would never buy a vehicle there. Wanted to add about $6G in fees to their advertised price as we wanted to pay cash rather than finance. One of the fees was $995 to etch the vin into the catalytic converter (Lol)! That and $1300 tire and rim protection are how their "cash prices are structured"! Bought a truck elsewhere and won't recommend this dealer to anyone.

We purchased a brand new Trail Boss from Corey there. We made arrangements to pick up the vehicle at a specific time as we are from out of town, when we arrived were told it would be another 5 hours. To make us happy they delivered the truck later that day. Our second key was lost before it was delivered and I am still waiting to here back about it 1 week later. When we were pretty much forced into buying the “Silver Package” we had the protective under coat done. When the truck was delivered we looked under and discovered the under coat was not done. I called Corey, paper work was filled out wrong and they did paint protection instead. He said I would have to drive the truck back to the dealer to get it sprayed, putting kms and taking time out of work to drive there for their mistake!? ! I paid out of pocket to get it sprayed at Line X in town instead. Lastly after owning the truck 2 days the tire gets a hole and when we went to have it repaired there was no lock for our lug nut locks in the truck. I called Corey again and after getting laughed at I was told to call on star and my key will be in the mail. Corey told me multiple times to make sure to give them a 10 on the survey because that’s all that matters to them. Worst experience of my life. Drove the truck to Pike Wheaton in Red Deer and they were able to help me out. Update on the key… called Don Wheaton numerous times following up on the key, never received a call back. Went to Pike Wheaton, they ordered me a new key and sent the bill to Don Wheaton. This is the service you get when you spend $90000 on a new vehicle at Don Wheaton.

Wait there hour and a half only for them to tell me they wont sell me the truck already priced at 105 thousand unless i get there protection package for 6 grand more what a absolute waste of time i spoke to your salesman since the morning at 9 am when they open he didnt say anything about that dont waste your time here they play games here and try and upsell you and take advantage of the market i wouldnt waste my time here ever again and if your reading this you shouldnt either im not upset about them

My experience with the sales team was less than satisfactory. They asked the same questions over and over. And wouldn't listen to what I wanted. I wanted straight numbers. How much they were giving me for my trade and how much the new vehicle was. They refused to give me that information. Would only give me a b/w payment. But also couldn't tell me how long the term was. When I finally got the answers I wanted come to find out the used vehicle I wanted was higher than there advertised price as well as they offered me $8000.00 less for my trade than several other dealers and were just trying to hide it in a lower payment over a longer term. I would stay as far away from them as possible. I understand the market right now is crazy but shop around lots of dealers out there aren't trying to get rich by selling 1 vehicle.

Stay away at all costs! Once you order vehicle with them you are trapped. Waited for my truck for 8 months. When it finally came, they handed me new contact with extra 16 thousands. They said if I don’t want it someone will buy it right away, and by selling the truck for an extra 16 k they will make sure that I won’t resale it. They said GM Canada flagged my address as a potential vehicle exporter. Funny, but I reached out GM to provide me the proof of that and never got any response.

You will say that’s not possible! Yes! They will NOT sell you YOUR vehicle unless you have an extra thousands and thousands dollars.
Anyways! I ordered the truck a week later from another dealer and finally after 2 months got it. Imagine nobody accused me in exporting vehicles and the contract was completely fulfilled!

Excellent service. I had been looking all over Alberta and BC for a specific model of used truck and Don Wheaton had one that I was interested in. I had tested enough to know they don't all drive the same so I drove the 3 hours to Edmonton and booked the appointment with Robyn who had everything prepared in the event I would chose to purchase. Robyn has an exceptionally easy demeanor and experience with out of town buyers which enabled me to test drive, get approved for the loan, get insurance, register the vehicle and drive it home in just over an hour. I love how easy she made what had the potential to be successful, so seamless and easy. Robyn is the salesperson to see if you are not a fan of salespeople. I have been religiously going to Don Wheaton Chev for all of the service work on my truck for many years. I recently had a large amount of warranty work done as well as about $1000 in non-warranty work. The service advisors and automotive techs are always great. Most work is completed in a very reasonable amount of time even with the parts delays due to covid and supply chain issues. They are willing to do what it takes to ensure they get a 5 star rating and that is greatly appreciated as far as customer service goes. I will continue to bring my truck here and continue recommending them to others!

So I can’t believe the service I got today from Don Wheaton! I go to buy a brand new car today and I was confronted with a ultimate protection package that you are forced to purchase with any new car/suv or truck! When I say forced, they said it’s either pay the $4995 or no sale! I said what? They said if you don’t buy it, you don’t buy the car! And then there’s the outrageous charges on top of that from PDI to safety charges to double charging for mats when it comes built in the build price already! Unbelievable and when I call them this afternoon to question again, the guy says yes they can do that because they can get away with it! The packages that you can purchase on line when custom building a car is far cheaper what they sell in stores, when I tried to tell them this they said they can mark up prices on msrp. And they can do what ever they want to insure profits in any dealership. But dealing with dealerships all my life they said I know nothing about sales, well, Ive been advised by 2 other dealerships and Don Wheaton will never get my business! You have a choice, you have the right to buy any packages and when Drew Holloway puts it, “you can buy a car anywhere you want, but your not buying one from here without buying the ultimate package”, “ there’s no sale without it”. Well let’s see what GM Canada and AMVIC has to say about this!

Went in and test-drove a truck and really liked it, it was a fresh trade-in and needed work so I understood how they couldn't really budge on the price. However, I was assured that with the quality of vehicle I would be getting and with the repairs done to it, the price was justified. 4 days after I purchased the truck (after dealership fixes and inspection/assessment), I had no power-steering and it would blip on and off at times. I brought it in for a diagnostic and sure enough it threw a code saying that the power steering module needed replacing and they couldn't do it there so I had to go to Ford. Go to Ford and have them re-diagnose, and sure enough it's the module but they need to replace the whole rack which is about $2300. Paid for it because I need the power steering, but all in all just disappointed about after being assured the quality of this truck I had to shell out a couple grand literally days later.

Gouging the customers for minimum 20 percent (20,000 CAD) over MSRP price for new escalades. When asked their answer was its because demand and supply. Also when I wanted to proceed with build order salesman does not wanted to say on email that I am not obligated to buy their inhouse warranties and stuff I specifically asked and he ignored. MSRP includes dealership fee as well as delivery charges which is not enough for these money grabbers. See their listing prices! Do you DD and there are some other dealerships in Alberta Calgary specifically selling the same vehicles at MSRP. Little research will save you a lot of money.do not promote these kind of black market dealers.

A huge waste of time and money. Buyer beware even at a legitimate Chevrolet GMC Buick Cadillac dealership. Luckily I was able to cancel the deal and get my deposit back

Our 1st contact was with Mitch looking to buy our Ford Escape we had for sale privately. He was very quick to respond and put me in touch with his used sales manager Donegan. Donegan was amazing to work with, no hassle, straight to the point and gave us a very good offer.
A few months later we returned looking to purchase a new SUV, we ended up working with Robyn and Troy to order in the perfect vehicle for us - 2022 Tahoe RST. Robyn was very attentive to what we wanted, communication from day one was on point and she kept us updated on the the status of our build throughout the whole process. Our sales woman, Brandie is exceptional at helping to get you into your new vehicle! I certainly recommend asking for her assistance in helping you with all your vehicle purchasing needs! However, after leaving the site, and knowing that I bought a demo, I was unpleasantly surprised at how filthy the inside of my new Cadillac was. The gas had not been filled, and there were also a large number of chips on the back passenger side window which I hadn’t noticed until I got home. The disappointment took away TF rom my new and first luxury vehicle purchase. After sending photos to Brandie, she assured me that Don Wheaton would make things right when I bring my vehicle in for its first service.

Was in the market for a truck after my 2007 Chev 2500HD Diesel was stolen from Edmonton International Airport.
Walked in to see what was available in today’s market - which we know isn’t great due to Covid.
Corey helped us with our last vehicle and didn’t miss a beat when I asked him if he remembered me “hello Mr Tolen” he replied. Great memory Corey!

Picked up the Truck on a sunny day. Most of the truck had been detailed. Had to stop and clean the front windshield in order to see driving into the sun. Turns out the window was heavily calcified likely from sitting outside for 2 months. Sunroof was bad as well. Vinegar and water eventually did the job. Disappointing after spending over 100k. Today I discovered the $1800.00 protective film on the front end is pealing. Obviously a rush job to get this truck delivered. Tough to find good help these days.

My parents purchased a 21 Silverado from them, and as the good son I try to be, I assisted my parents along there truck buying journey! Detailing on car was ok but missing cleaning a few things even though they kept it longer to do a “really good job”. The GM inspection on car missed somethings, like battery, as I will have to replace as it is not charging fully, engine oil was over filled and cabin air filter which was very dirty. Sale women Erin was good and pleasant to deal with.

Ended up coming for just an oil change got confirmation for the price from the service department before booking it in and gave my Model number. Came to the appointment and there price was $40 more then listed over the phone and to Lakewood’s price. After talking with the service person wouldn’t budge on the price. Had The same oil change done exactly 3 months earlier back in April at Don Weaton and the past two years. And when I returned home pulled out the last oil change invoice and from them was $40 more then when I payed last time for the same oil change. Plus I asked could they just do a quick check on the fluid levels. But they wanted to charge a full inspection. I had just finished and got out school and am a broke college student i’m not made of money. So I said don’t bother checking it, but they can still give me an invoice of what to fix on my vehicle. If you looked at the condition of the vehicle anyways you might as well check the fluid levels too right. ‍️ I hate going to other dealerships but going somewhere else to do my oil changes now. Also for the price I’ll be driving to Stony Plian.where they can top of all of my fluids included as well for that price.

Once we left the dealership the service went right down hill. The mechanics at the dealership had our truck on the lift for an hour and a half, which was fine we where patient. Upon receiving our trade in value we continued with the sale of a trade in on a used truck on the lot. The day after arriving home with our new to us truck we quickly realized the command start did not work. We replaced batteries and even tried the app, after contacting the dealership several times the response we got was that they had to put several thousand dollars into the truck we traded in before they could list it and attached the bill. The bill was %80 windshield, oil change/filter and tires. These are all things that should have been done regardless, and things that their mechanic should have easily seen during the 1.5 hours on their lift upon trade in. The day the truck was picked up they told us do not hesitate to call if there are any problems, every time we call they just throw a bill in our face. Beware that when they say that, any problems you have after rolling your vehicle off the lot will be on your own tab.

I usually avoid dealerships due to bad experiences, however, due to the complexity of Escalade hybrid powertrains, I gave in and visited Don Wheatons service department after being recommended.

The service department was absolutely amazing from the first phone call to vehicle pick up, technician was thorough and advisors Kat and Kenrose were on top of it with updates throughout the two days and had my truck ready to go faster than I thought. Very happy with the service, wouldn't have minded a wash though haha.

Would recommend this service department!

I saw a vehicle that interested me on-line that was at Don Wheaton Chevrolet in Edmonton and sent in some questions that I had on the 2016 Lincoln MKX.that was recently listed.
I had a reply back very quickly from Dileep Menon (Internet sales Consultants) and answered off all questions that I had in the vehicle plus a point person to set up a test drive through for my wife and I.
Very positive experience with no pressure sales approach which made it easy to do business.
Dileep took the time to show me some of the vehicles features and offered to contact Lincoln on something that we couldn’t figure out.

I have been disappointed with my past two visits here. In my most recent visit they were kind enough to deduct $40 from the price of the estimate for the half hour to read and attempt to program my car's ABS module. However when they told me it needed to be replaced I was not given any sort of report or printout confirming this, I was told I should trust the technician's word.

Most concerning was the price they quoted me for a replacement ABS module at $1982.17 for the part alone. I called Westgate Chev, Lakewood Chev, and Sherwood Park Chev who all quoted me $1651.81 for the same part. This was not due to labour or any additional parts, it was the same single part yet I was given an inflated price by Don Wheaton Chev.

This wasn't my worst experience here, but I'm done and wouldn't recommend anyone else go here unless you absolutely have no choice.

Found what we needed (2017 Silverado 1500) at a reasonable price. Corey (sales) as Tim (finance) were great at helping us navigate through the process. Super happy with the truck. Thanks guys!

The most dishonest dealership ever! They lied right to my face on my trade in on my Cadillac towards another vehicle. Told me that my Cadillac was going to auction and they would not sell it on their lot so low balled me on the trade in. So I ended up doing it because I had my eyes on the newer car so felt I didn't have much choice. 2 weeks later, what do I see on their web-site. MY CADILLAC selling for $8000 more from my trade in! Lied to my face and said it was going to auction, if I knew they were lying snakes I would have never bought a car from them! They knew full well they were going to sell my Cadillac and never had any intention of going to auction. BUYERS BEWARE!

Inquired about a vehicle over email and it took multiple emails for them to even respond and once they did they lied about multiple things. I would rather spend more money at a different dealership than deal with these lying scam artists. Don't waste your time with them.

We always heard Don Wheaton was the place to go but you sure have to be careful who you deal with. We went to look at a car and the first man we dealt with seemed to talk down to us. He made us feel like we didn't belong there. Brian was not a pleasant person and came across as rude and arrogant. He needs people skills for sure. Not happy when we left.

Had the misfortune of dealing with these gentlemen over the phone today. I inquired about pricing on a new truck. Troy Sorge returned my call. He was unwilling to give me any pricing information over the phone, instead insisting on an in-person visit. He was impolite and relies on high-pressure sales tactics (implying there’s many buyers interested already, I can sell the truck for any price etc.). Not a fun experience.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but these guys couldn’t give me a truck for free after this. A dealership relationship is important when buying a new vehicle, you need to rely on them for repairs and warranty services for years afterward. I wouldn’t chance that with them.

After what I had to recently deal with at another dealership this is the only one I will come to and bring my own family to. Everyone here is friendly and willing to help, More then a car dealer is for sure, Don Wheaton GMC is where it's at. “ We received excellent service from Dileep and Jason, sales rep and financial manager from Don Wheaton GMC. They gave us a deal that was very difficult to turn down. I am certain it was a compromise that may have cut into his and the dealership commission, for sure he nor the dealership have lost any money in this transaction but the point is that they are willing to dicker in good faith, in good will like the way honest business should be done. I am happy. Good luck Jason, Dileep and Don Wheaton GMC. Good simple: good faith, good will and a hand shake.

I came from Red Deer to buy my new Escalade from Don Wheaton, great people great service, Tim the sales manager great to deal with very nice personality, cory was great to deal with as well, I recommend this place 100% makes every thing easy and fast, I will be back for sure yo buy my next vehicle.

Dealers were very friendly, and knowledgeable about the vehicles on the lot. As a first time car buyer I felt comfortable in my car buying experience.
