Finally saw my favorite owner in the other location in MAHOGANY also MOHAMMED my FAVORITE manager in MAHOGANY besides the other friendly staff RALLY’S and yea got nothing against this location only prefer the MAHOGANY location besides my FAVORITE RESTAURANT HOWIE’S PIZZA that’s who I describe my favorite owner of this location and MOHAMMED FAVORITE manager as HOWIE RUTHLEDGE my big boss and FAVORITE guy at his restaurant he owns HOWIE’S PIZZA just like my two favorites open a second location in mahogany or seton of HOWIE’S PIZZA having permission from my other favorite boss HOWIE RUTHLEDGE my two favorite owner and manager MOHAMMED would be in charge of the second location of my HOWIE’S PIZZA
And finally solved my small problem with BOSNA and truly forgive him giving me some complimentary stuffs

Have been going here for almost decades now and always enjoyed it. But lately it had gone down hill a lot. Service is terrible, long waits, and often served after others that just walk in. Even food / prep quality has dropped.

Unfortunately after all this time I'm finally calling it quits. This was probably my last time here.

Just had the Best Donair dinner ever!
Meat is extraordinarily great! Perfectly spiced n sweet sauce on the side! However I have found the portions are getting smaller n the prices rising.

I want to say a huge huge thank you to the gentleman at Donair Gill that made my uber eats nightmare change to good. I placed an order with uber eats, and a driver (not the one that the app said it was) picked up my order. Then when my actual uber eats driver arrived at the restaurant to get my order, and was informed my order was already picked up. Took it into his own hands and called me to let me know what happened. He promised me not to worry, he will contact uber eats and get this shorted out. Which is more then many restaurants would do. Long story short, he had to remake my orders, and have them sent back to my place. The food was absolutely delicious. Huge portions! And I couldn't have asked for better customer service. The guy working at Donair Grill went above and beyond. I highly recommend this restaurant. However, I don't recommend uber eats!

I am amazed with this place and their customer service. They have helped me through such a tough time and have supported me in sharing a warm meal for me and my family. Their act of kindness and support will always be remembered. I recommend picking up dinner from here and getting to know their staff and sharing stories. Please support amazing businesses like this. Horrible Horrible Horrible. It's not even a Donair or Shawarma. It's a cold wrap. Waste of money and tip.
This business need to learn how to make good food. Never going back again. Asked for well done and served a cold wrap with a thick bread. No taste at all.

Ordered a donair from DoorDash. First time trying this place. Not good. Chicken was VERY hard and dry.basically plastic - ended up feeding the meat to my dogs. Asked for it to be made extraaaa spicy… zero spice. Y’all don’t even have hot sauce? 0/10 would not recommend. Gave 2 stars cuz i’m not a complete monster - but I won’t be ordering from here again.

My common law husband has talked about this place a lot we have just not had the time to go and when we went it was so worth the visit
Staff are incredibly friendly and family oriented
If they make a mistake they want to make it right
If u have a bad experience hopefully not but if you do don’t write a bad review go back to pics and they will try to make it right

Stopped in here for dinner the other night. I was after a donair and got exactly what I wanted. I appreciate that in restaurants. When what you get matches what you are expecting to get. Mixed donair was great, priced fair, service was good, eating area was clean and open, loved that wrestling was on TV. I'd gladly return here and try more on the menu.

Ordered a falafel wrap. Falafel had way too many spices and ended up tasting like a christmas candle from Homesense. I do appreciate a good variety of spices in food as I cook, however this was too much and overpowering.

The best Donair I’ve had! It’s always consistent. Staff is always friendly. We hadn’t seen Jessica in a while and she remembered us! She’s a great asset to your team!

Delicious meats, fresh toppings, soft wraps, savory sauces, these guys have it all and never disappoint

I usually don't give low ratings, but the food was terrible and overpriced! Perhaps the worst donair I have ever had in my life! Fries were too salty and chicken nuggets felt like they were made of potatoes! I can't believe this place has 4.5 rating!

Absolute top shelf donair spot! First time going, the staff was wonderful, place was clean and their donair was incredible! The mix of sweet and garlic sauce was exceptional. Will definitely be returning!

Place is not good for the price you're paying. Donair meat is very inconsistent, sometimes fresh sometimes dry and bland, the fries have a frozen taste to them. There are so many amazing donair spots in the city, don't go to this one.

I love shawarma and order when I go into the city. That's why this meal was so disappointing. It was cold and old. Chicken tasted like leftovers and that and the rice was cold. It arrived fast so it was not because of delivery. Pita was stale and ice cold too. I'm a sad panda now.

My husband and I frequent this lovely restaurant. Not only are the staff friendly but the food is delicious! The owner is a down to earth guy that is easy to chat with.

The garlic sauce is so yummy! I always ask for extra. There are so many great food options to choose from which is nice as well. From Donair poutine to onion rings that are old timey and not too greasy to straight up gigantic Donairs that will knock your socks off! I always get the house hot sauce and extra peppers which is well worth it.

If you are ever in Bridlewood and want to experience some delicious food that is reasonable in price and made by friendly, cool people, stop in and grab a bite here. Enjoy! You will be back!

Normally my go to donair place, family fave. This time, had me pretty disappointed unfortunately. I ordered from skip and when my order came it was beef and not chicken, I do not eat beef. I called to ask what could be done and he told me nothing, just get a refund from skip. That's fine and all, I'll get some of my money back, less the delivery fee for the wrong order. Then I won't eat dinner cause I'm not paying 2 fees to have delivery.

This is the best place in Calgary for a Donair and the staff is awesome and price is family friendly.

The falafel was sour and cold? This morning order via skip the dishes was ruined.in a prime location in the community of bridlewood this place has the potential to do wonders but fails to capitalize on the same

You get half of what other donair places give you for a price slightly more then other places. I reminded the owner and yet he insisted that I was wrong and he put more then other places.

The food is average.
The meat is sometimes really dry so it’s either a hit or a really big miss. Something good to try here would be their samosa paired with garlic sauce, it’s absolutely brilliant. We always order online so we have no opinion about how the staff are like.
Overall, we’re sufficiently satisfied with our experience from the restaurant and will continue to be patrons.

Food was ok garlic sauce was gross not enough toppings. I think the owners need to go to Delgado in legacy and see how it's done. For a 6 minute drive it would be worth it. Cause this doesn't compare. Gross and cheap with toppings.

Your Beef Donair is awesome, but I strongly feel your employees need to welcome your customers with a smile and say the magic words THANK YOU after the business. The last 3 or 4 times I went there the employee did the business very casually without the magic words Thank You and that is very un-Canadian and it was rather offensive according to Canadian standard. Maybe she needs to know some Canadian manners.

There platers are missing potatoes an service and the young gentleman in the kitchen was little rude. Overpriced for what u get in my opinion

Loved to eat here. Ate here again recently and was very disappointed. Prices have gone way up for what you get. A ‘large’ donair is now the size the ‘regular’ used to be. Very dry, next to no sauce and dry chicken. A ‘large’ Caesar salad costing $8.50 was ridiculous. They couldn’t even fill up the container (see attached). Disappointed to say I won’t be eating here again any time soon.

The best donair in all of Calgary. Coming from Ontario where we have the luxury of many amazing donair places this is definitely the best in town hands down would eat here 5 days ina. Row no problem and I never eat take out.

Delicious! We tried the chicken shawarma salad and it was amazing. Highly recommend supporting this family owned business.

Verry dry Donaire even with 2 sauces meat was really dry and tasteless the poutine was very dissapointing it didn't even fill half the container it came in and undercooked fries with very little gravy and cheese definitely not worth 20$ would recommend going somewhere else I used to like this place sad to see them becoming so cheap with portions.

Please learn to make a donair poutine from one of the better shops like Shawarma Barlow or Pita Grill. It's not simply overly salted fries drowned in gravy and cheese curds with a little beef on top. Use flavourful veggies like tomatoes, onions, and parsley and delicious sweet and donair sauce. What I had was pretty depressing and awful.

Best donairs in the city, hands down. Always great customer service when my gf and I go, the prices are super competitive, and the donairs are just so delicious. Would recommend over any other donair shops nearby.

Edit: Two years later I just want to reaffirm how great this place is. The customer service is always amazing and the donairs are incredible every time. Thank you for going out of your way to make our experience here so enjoyable every time.

Wow is the first word that comes to mind! My husband and I have been getting our donairs from here for 5-6 years now and have never been disappointed. Recently, we had a small mishap where my donair had the wrong sauce on it. This was out of the ordinary and we were already back home, so we called in to see what could be done. The manager went out of his way to not only make me a new donair, but hand deliver it to our apartment with a complimentary desert. I have never seen such dedication to providing excellent customer service and fixing a situation. My husband and I will never be switching donair places with this gem around! Thank you so much again donair grill, you made this pregnant, hungry woman very happy today!

We've been going to the Donair Grill ever since it opened many years ago. Right from the first time, the owners treated us like long-time friends. Then we tasted their food and we were hooked. We have been to many Middle-Eastern eateries in many parts of the world and this is definitely in the top tier! The owners are personable and friendly, the staff is well-trained and friendly and the food is outstanding. We highly recommend it!

Could've toasted it more than 15 seconds but not gonna take a star off for that, really good shawarma!

I got the regular chicken shawarma with extra garlic, and they delivered.
I actually cried it was so garlicky and delicious. Physically had tears rolling down my face because it was so tasty.

Pros: Great sauce, quality ingredients, great service.
Cons: The portion sizes need to but upsized a bit. Me and my brother had super donairs that left us wanting more.

Friendly staff and great food. I've been coming here for the last 10 years and its still as good as it was back then.

It's one of the best Donair shops in the south. Food is always really good. Also the prices are fair. The renovations are very nice as well.

Finally got around to trying Donair Grill after living in the area for 3+ years. It was an amazing experience. I ordered over the phone dealing with the owner. He was really helpful, kind and personable. Food was absolutely delicious. I will be a long time customer!

Such a great atmosphere, the service is awesome and the people who work here are SO NICE. We were treated so well and the food is unbelievable. Their fries are perfect, the donair was amazing, the baklava is delicious.the BEST in the city.i'd give them 6 stars if i could.

My favorite place to go for a donair. The owners are really friendly and appreciative for your business. Plus the donairs are delicious. $20 gets you a donair the size of a small car, so good value. Also try their hummus, it's very good. Everything is made fresh in front of you.

I don't know if there's a better place to have a bite to eat, fries are fresh. And always friendly when I walk in. Thanks for the grub!
