Dose Coffee Riverfront

Great third wave coffee spot in Red Dear, brewing their in-house roasted beans. The barista crafted a perfect flat white, so they have my stamp of approval for to-go coffee while in Red Dear.

Quality Coffee, a very intentional vibe, and a great location. I am a big fan of Dose. This is not the place to go if you want to talk loud and laugh a ton, but it is a perfect place if you want to ride your bike, go for a walk, read a book, or get some work done!

Beautiful little cafe across from the river.
I heard of this cafe and was looking forward to a good cup of coffee, we had an Americano and in truth I didn't enjoy the flavour, it had a strong vegetal profile, which to me is unpleasant and the reason I hadn't gone back.
The staff were warm and inviting, and the cafe has a cool vibe.

I've been back many times since and every time I had a great coffee.
Dose also makes their own syrups!

My mom said the iced latte she had was the best she's had in a very long time, and I had to agree. I also had one of there home made syrup lattes, which was also incredible! If your in area stop by for the relaxing atmosphere and the rich coffee. 10/10.

Owner/manager not super friendly towards us. Was friendly to others in the shop. I was a barista and have been in customer service for over 40 years. Some days can be tough, you never know what is going on in someone's life, but in service your life doesn't matter - people couldn't care less. You smile and fake your way thru the day. I think you have to sell a lot of coffee to make a go of it, so it is hard, but you can make people want to come back because the experience was awesome!

DRINK: Went for the first time and would never go back. At least not for the mocha. At $7, I expect hot not tepid. Though I could live with tepid temperatures IF the mocha was tasty. Sadly, not alot of mocha flavor; chocolate nor coffee flavors come through.
ATMOSPHERE: outside patio nice enough. Inside is dark and small. I could appreciate a minimalistic style if it were also warm and inviting.

Came in right at close and they took my massive drink order with a smile. Great tasting espresso and excellent service!

Amazing staff and amazing coffee. Everyone you meet here is so nice and welcomes you into the dose family. If your looking for a place to have a cup of coffee and talk with family or friends then this place has the perfect atmosphere in all of red deer for that.

Quiet spot in the corner of downtown Red Deer.

Iced Americano felt a little bit too watered down and the donuts were good.

Price is on the slightly higher side for local coffee shops.

The signs are small and black, so you have to really look for the location of driving. Just park in the parking lot and walk. Coffee and treats only, no meals, but vegan options are a plus.

Very nice! Great place to hang out and great location. The only thing I would probably suggest is I hope they have other stuff too like sandwiches or something light to eat beside from pastries/sweets. That would be nice!

Always top notch coffee when we come here, and we go out of our way when traveling through Red Deer to grab an Americano.

Tasty coffee, friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Great choice of coffee beverages, teas (+sugar free sparkling tea), sodas, summer drinks.
The only place to taste pour over (v60 specifically).

It’s nice to work at your laptop as well.

There’s a summer terrace (tables outside) so it’s pleasant to sit outside in a warm weather.

Staff is awesome, place is small, coffee is great and tarts were delicious. Ambiance need some inviting work.

Not my favorite coffee shop. High prices and menu is very limited. My order was not made correct. Expected better for the new capstone area

Yesterday I took my family members to Dose Riverfront for a coffee. We especially drove there as it is a little off the beaten track. Sadly the experience was not worth the drive. I requested my Americano to be made with extra extra extra room for cream as this is how I enjoy it. When I received the coffee it was full, I requested some to be poured out, the man rolled his eyes and poured out very little but sadly the crema was poured out too. I then asked if more could please be poured out as it was still not enough and the man got clearly irritated with lots of eye rolling. I then told him that he was been extremely rude and that my coffee which I paid $4 for was now ruined. No apology, no offer to remake it the way it was ordered. I posted a review on Facebook about my experience and was told that I was inappropriate and rude and that next time I should go elsewhere for coffee. I see this seems to be their normal response as I was sent a similar DOSE response from a friend who found a past negative review on FB. There were a few responses of other people in support of my review but since ALL of them were negative towards DOSE they have now removed my post. I love supporting local however this local experience was awful. We will never return. I sincerely hope others are never treated in this way. DOSE take responsibility for your poor service instead of making excuses and blaming, it will get you much further in business. Good luck.

Great coffee at this location. One of my favourite places to get a latte. Their Lavendar Chocolate Latte is awesome!

A local gem of a coffee shop that compliments their Gaetz Ave.location perfectly. Chill atmosphere, excellent drink quality and superb staff. A+ all the way.
