Double L Towing

Came to our rescue during -40c temps when AMA told us it would be a 4 day wait. Great service, they showed up within 30 mins and towed our vehicle for us. Operator/Driver and dispatch were fantastic, thank you.

Had a flat on Hwy 16 and RR224 westbound. No biggie, except for the fact I couldn't get my spare dropped. After over an hour, I eventually called AMA, who sent Double L towing out. The driver was also unable to get my spare dropped after over 2 hours of trying. He inflated my tire, which held enough air to get me to Sherwood Park. He followed us to make sure the tire held. I had my 65 yr old mom with me, so he offered to come by the hotel parking lot in the morning to inflate the tire to get me across the street to Kal Tire to get it fixed.

Used this company again today through an AMA call, there was a bit of a wait this time however, our driver Keith was totally awesome! So knowledgeable, - taught us all a few things. Super friendly, and an all around cool guy. Thanks again Keith. Will recommend you to anyone I know needing a tow.

The company was great to deal with, drivers respected my vehicle while being picked up and dropped off.

Double L was sent by ama to help me change a flat tire.my rim would not come off the axel. Sebastian showed up with all the tools and won't quit additude to get the rim off the axel. Took some time but he was great help

The two guys that came out were horrendous. They had my exact address but couldn't locate me for an extended period. These guys seemed to be very lacking in knowledge of the Edmonton Downtown Core. And one guy literally says to me, "You didn't tell me about the train track. " Just wow!

They seemed to have had the correct tools for a car lockout but lacking in experience. While I was waiting around nearby, I heard the one guy saying, "how do I unlock this? " I have an older vehicle.

To their credit. They eventually did, after not having success with driver side door; they tried unlocking the front passenger door.

Raised his voice with me, as though it is my fault that they had difficulty locating me when, I had repeated my EXACT address several times, as well as have given them the name of the business (a major destination in the Downtown Ice District).

Parked their tow truck right beside and parallel to my vehicle, blocking traffic without a care.

I would only use them if I had absolutely no other choice given this poor experience. AMA, I hope you take this company off of your subcontractor list.

Great service, the tow truck driver I had, Keith, was super helpful. I will definitely recommend Double L Towing to my friends when they need a tow company.

My 20 year old son was in an accident and due to the outrageous amounts charged for insurance only had liability on his car (so none of the towing fees are covered) The vehicle was directed by RCMP to be towed to Double L's impound lot and the fee for a small little jaunt down the road was $289, but that's not the part that makes me angry (even though it's exorbitant) If we wanted to retrieve the car and possibly sell it for salvage we would need to pay an additional $300 plus to do so after less than 24 hours in their possession or we could sign it over to them for disposal at no additional cost. This should be illegal! Because we know that they will sell it for salvage and may even get more money for it. I feel like his car was stolen by this company. Accident or not it should be the owners choice who tows the vehicle and to where it's going to go. It seems like these guys are in kahoots with the RCMP.

Left deep scratches all over the trunk of my new car. Wouldn’t take blame. Basically avoid at all costs.

Had these folks almost run me off the road, I wonder if they would give a discount on the tow if they cause the wreck

Rudest people working there no customer service skills at all. Never would recommend or ever do any kind of service with this company EVER AGAIN. You sign a waiver that you won’t sue if you fall in their yard, which was pure ice. SO IT WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Double L Towing showed up late at night to dig out a car stuck in the mush on a side street and move it to a street that was already graded. No charge! Thanks Double L.

Had to get my car from here and the help I recieved was much much better than what I was expecting absolutely great customer service and actually had my back during this situation.

Our 4X4 truck stalled on Cloverbar Road during morning rush hour traffic. The RCMP just happened to arrive at the location and Double L Towing was called. Jason was the tow truck operator. He handled our truck with great care. He had extreme knowledge of towing vehicles. I was very impressed with the care he took. The truck was towed to our house. There wasn't even a scratch on the driveway. Great job done Jason.

Blake from Double L Towing did a great job in getting my car (which he was towing) up a very narrow driveway and into our garage. I really appreciate his help and his friendly manner.

My car wouldn't start in the cold this afternoon, so I called AMA and they sent a *great* tow truck guy, James Benjamin, from Double L towing.
He knew how to properly tow a hybrid car without doing damage, and was able to boost my battery without causing sparks (which is what happened when my very kind neighbor tried to boost my battery with his running car).
It turned out that my battery was just very low (only had enough battery for the short drive to where I was going, but not enough to start again). So James not only did a great job, but saved me a mechanic's bill! If not for his knowledge, I would have been worried about trying to boost the battery again. He was also very polite and professional.

I called all over the place looking for pricing to get into my car that the keys got locked inside. These guys were by a large number the best price. Very prompt and a wonderful person on dispatch. I believe her name was Kim. I highly recommend using double L if you are dumb like me and lock your keys in your car!

We have used Double L's services on several occasions since moving to the Sherwood Park area nineteen years ago. The drivers are totally professional and extremely skilled in getting the job completed. And they've always arrived within 5-10 minutes of the estimated time to handle any issue we've had. Outstanding service!

I was stranded on the Anthony Henday bridge with a flat tire. Matthew, one of the tow truck drivers from Double L was off duty heading back to the shop when he passed me on the Henday and stopped. He stopped to help try to change out my tire. When we were unable to get the tire off, he towed my van home. Matthew is an amazing human being! This is an excellent company. I would highly recommend them.

Had my 77 1 ton dodge towed the other day. Response time was good and driver loaded truck correctly and efficiently. Driver was friendly and did his best to social distance. It was a AMA call and it was over 160km. The over charge was cheap in my opinion. I have old and rare cars and trucks towed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Great experience. Thanks guys.

Had my $150 backpack and steel toe boots stolen from my car back in May when it got towed to their shop. If the cops call for a tow and they show up, wait for another company to show up.

Fast, friendly, and reliable - I've had to use tow services out in Sherwood Park a few times and they have always been the first one to get to the scene and the most helpful.

Double L is a AMA contractor for the area i towed it from. I cannot say more how impressed I was, not only were they super quick to respond the operator was awesome.

I currently am working remotely and needed it towed from my work to my house so it can be looked at by our mechanic.

She communicated with me the entire process, ensured that it was safe (utilized a flatbed as not to screw up my AWD), and was just straight up awesome.

Didn't have to worry about anything.

Your driver, Rob Sr. Had experience to figure out how to get my vehicle up my driveway when no one else could. Awesome service!

He went way above and beyond for us, parking our SUV in our back yard instead of on the street. The service I received was amazing. The team went above and beyond to ensure all my expectations were met.

We use LL for all our towing needs and have never had a problem with them. Can't blame them for long wait times in the middle of a cold snap or blizzards. That is the nature of the beast. Things break in the cold, vehicles go off the road a lot in the winter. I think these guys handle the work load quite well. Good job LL!

Three days. THREE DAYS, I've been waiting for someone to let me know when I can expect them. I call every day and get the same runaround. How hard is it to send somebody over when they're finished their last call when I've been waiting 3 days and they're probably getting service in the first day.yes my hours are limited to the working hours since I'm stranded at work and I'm not sitting here all day without an answer. Very unprofessional I'm not sure I'd ever use them again as much as I've always used them in the past

Poor service and they still owe money from when I was layed off. I wouldn't recommend anyone call them.

Very happy with the service we received today. First snowfall so it was extra busy but wait time was reasonable considering the weather. Shout out to the driver Blake. He was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! Would definitely use their services again if needed!

Went in to retrieve belongings from my vehicle that had been stolen. The business has a small sign on the fence and a small sign above the door, but it’s not clear if it’s the storage yard or where they service their tow vehicles.
It is in fact both, and there is two trucks parked all over the place, so you walk the maze to the front door as there is no customer parking. Eventually after the lady asked for paperwork I didn’t have as it was in the vehicle, she took my insurance claim number and let me into the yard. Well eventually she let me into the yard. The gate is so screwed that it’s hard to get unlocked and opened. I got my belongings and left.
Be aware that this company has a very high storage fee, and quite high for all other charges.
