I just started coming here and I must say, this Barber shop is fantastic, so good. My haircut was how I wanted it done and it was a really good experience. I had Dave.

Only go to this place if you know exactly what you want and bring in a slideshow and diagram of such. Don’t bother trying to explain a vague idea that they might help you visualize or anything because the staff will just talk over you and direct you to something you didn’t want. I finally just threw in the towel and relented to whatever they had in mind. And trying to put in a small request? I said “Can I keep the volume on the sides? ” Instantly shot down. Problem solving is non-existent and even though I was the only other person in the shop it felt like a rush job. Of course this is all my fault and my family deserves to be argued with all the way out the door, even though I entered while showing the barber with my finger exactly what parts I wanted cut off and to keep the volume. Don’t know what the ‘picture on the wall’ was about, I thought they were just talking about the idea of a left parting, like yeah I like my hair parted to the left, now can you cut off the parts I was showing you? But nah, basically shave it all off and call it a day since that’s easiest. Odd small talk as well. Some strange implication about grade 10 being basically in university? And I’m not sure what the question about me wanting to stay in school meant? Was my barber under the impression that I look like a high school dropout?

Fadi and Mark are artists. Friend, professional atmosphere. Oh and they treat seniors like royalty.

This was my third time going to the barbershop to try the different barbers in the store and I went to get a haircut and the man cutting my hair was complaining about my hair under his breath. At the end of the haircut after he messed up my hair he told me not to come back to the barbershop because he doesn’t specialize in long hair and he should’ve let me know before he cut my hair he was really disrespectful and unprofessional complaining to the other barbers in a foreign language

Best barbershop in town! All of the barbers here are top notch, never had a bad haircut and they are very accommodating to walk-ins. Once you go here, you won’t go anywhere else!

What a great community barber shop! Joe is amazing. Fast and consistent, clean cuts that keep me coming back. Every compliment I receive about my hair cut ends with the mention of douglasdale barber shop. Not only Joe but the whole shop are friendly and work efficiently with great team work that keeps them pumping out cuts all day long. The location of this barber shop is the best community strip mall in the south with many offerings for that one stop shop.

After a few friends telling me about this barber shop, I finally managed to make it in to try it out for myself. Let me tell you, this is the BEST hair cut I've had in my life. The service is fantastic, the skills from the employees are incredible and the atmosphere was very laid back.
This is the only barber shop I will be trusting from here on.

Douglasdale Barber Shop is fantastic! The team members are so friendly and kind. I have gone for a haircut myself and it turned out so well. I have also taken my boy there and the person giving him the haircut was so gentle and great with him. I highly recommend this amazing small business.

Noor did an amazing job cutting my hair and beard today. He went above and beyond any other barber I've ever been to. I've never had the hot towel treatment and a massage while getting a hair cut before. I was very impressed!

This was my first time going here and I'm definitely impressed. They have a forever customer for sure! It's a chill, welcoming atmosphere. I think the guy's name was Joe. I'm not sure. He's the older guy working there but his work is astounding. An absolute professional. He gave me the exact haircut I asked for, he definitely understood what I wanted. He took his time perfecting every part of the haircut which I really appreciated because some places want to just get you in and out and rush through the haircut. He took his time to really give his best effort, which also makes you feel like as a customer you're actually important and cared for. I'm so impressed and happy I chose this place above others in the area. Highly recommend! Especially if you need a fade of any kind. They know what they're doing! Super friendly as well.

Great neighborhood barber! Awesome atmosphere and the positive vibes from all the barbers can't be beat. My son got hair cut there for the first time upon recommendations from a friend and says he likes to going to "the man salon". Professional and talked to my 10 year old son like a paying customer.encouraging him to be confident and tell the barber what HE wants, not what I prefer him to have. Great service - we will be back often!

Unfortunately i was not happy with my haircut, but i still left 15% tip, because I'm polite. But i knew I'm not going there anymore.

I've been going to Mark for several years now, extending back to his earlier time at his previous place of work. It is always a great experience! I'm very impressed with Mark and his team's work over the past few years to develop the shop into what it is today. I've also had the pleasure of getting haircuts from Fadi and Harvey, who are also both excellent at their jobs. I'm very happy to see the progress that Mark has made with this place and look forward to many more years of success. Will always recommend this place!

Just got back from a hot head and face shave, it was probably the best and closest shave I've had in my bald career. Welcoming, friendly staff who clearly know what they're doing.

Shave was a comfortable process, Joe took his time and went over everything twice, certain not to miss a spot or rush the process. Did not feel hurried or as if any corners were cut.

An absolute fantastic deal considering the price, I feel like I got more than my moneys worth.

I will absolutely be returning and will recommend the shop to friends and family.

Honestly, on past experiences alone I'd rate this place higher. I've been to this barbershop several times over the last year but this last visit has left me feeling utterly disappointed and upset. I brought my son in for a hair cut and I asked for it to be shorter but the same style.and while I was busy distracting him, the barber took the liberty to carve a design in the back of his head without asking. When I noticed, I definitely made a point to say that I did not ask for that and asked why he did it.and he said "he liked it". I know hair grows and I know this is a one off experience, but in my opinion, a barber should always ask permission. In hindsight, I wish I would have been watching more closely but I put the trust in him to do what I had originally asked. I can't believe I still paid (and tipped) - I think I was still in shock of what my sons hair looked like. This review isn't to prevent you from coming to this shop as I'm all for supporting local - it is however, a tip to take caution in being very clear on what you are looking for so they don't take the liberty of carving any crazy designs in your hair!

Best customer care, extreme attention to detail and quality from the whole staff. Been going here for a couple years now with not a single complaint.

I followed Mark over from his old work place cause he is the epitome of great customer service! I would recommend his shop to anyone! Great atmosphere, and a great crew there!

Great people who take their time to cut your hair right, beard trims etc part of the works. May cost slightly more than the regular places but the atmosphere, people and care they take in doing their work greatly make up for this. They try to get to know each customer and even if you are passing by their store they will say hi and ask how you have been. It's a very friendly and community focused group that work here

I've lived in Douglasdale all my life, this place has easily become one of my favourite places in the community.
The staff is friendly and professional. They use great products and always give you a fresh looking cut at a great price. The hot towel wrap is refreshing and the straight razor shave on the neck will have you confident on their skills.

How does anyone rate this shop lower than a 5? !? Some people even lower than that? You guys are nuts. Go back and change this heresy. I’ve LITERALLY visited 30 shops in this city. 30. And the guys at Douglas Dale tank on the top. They can do a sick fade and use the scissors. They can line you up nice, shave, and cut any style out there. These guys do it all AND the wait is never that long and the price is awesome. It’s worth a drive from across town as well. The shop is top notch.

It's hard enough to find a good barber, but to find a place like this is a mixture of pure luck and providence. These folks actually enjoy their jobs, appreciate customers, and strive to give you the absolute best haircut you've ever gotten every time you're there. They're very attentive to your instructions and preferences, and the hot towel and quick massage is just icing on the cake. You won't want to go back to whoever used to cut your hair
