Great food and atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Love their seasonal selections. Haven’t had anything my family and I didn’t like. All time favourite are the lemon meringue and the Duke cake. Lunches are awesome, too! Highly recommend.

Definitely the benchmark for bakery-cafes. Not cheap but the quality of the food is outstanding.

Beautiful and welcoming location. This is a luxury cafe, their food and drinks stand out from the crowd by a mile. The staff is kind and professional. They really know their coffee as the espresso was high quality and very strong. Great place

Delicious macarons. The butter tarts were divine and the ginger cookies were to die for. I thought this place would be super expensive. It was a bit pricier than a grocery store but far superior quality. We will definitely be back!

I've been coming here since the first day they opened, and it is still one of my favorite spots in the city to come for a special treat or date with a friend. I will always love the duchess and I will never stop coming for their incredible treats. That said, I do come a lot less than I used too. Their scones and lemon tarts were my favorite items on their menu, and the quality of all their scones has significantly decreased and gotten way smaller since their first few years in business. I was also so sad when their lemon tarts (one of their first classic treats!) was made a seasonal only item. This is the only reason I won't give them 5 stars, but other than that, their staff is always so kind and wonderful, and the gruyere croissants always hit the spot!

I gave this bakeshop one star because they up charged me 50 cents extra for 15 MLS of oat milk. Shame on you, I will never go again. Maybe on a Latte, but for a splash in my coffee! This will go on the Vegans website in Edtn.

This place is healing to my soul. The key lime pie is delicious and the chocolate cake is siiiii good. Just buy one of each and treat yourself.

Holy wow, what a greatttt bakery! Such friendly staff, too. Super clean, upscale and comforting: we got a to go box expecting not to finish our tarts, but we ended up not being able to stop ourselves. So good

First visit to Edmonton and went here for the dessert recommended by my sister. The key lime pie and the pecan brownie was good but the drinks were actually really bad - it was the summer special drinks! So bad! We had to throw it all out. What a waste of 5 bucks.
I would recommend the key lime for sure but not the summery drinks. Maybe try their other desserts.

The Duchess is well set up for customer safety during this pandemic while still be able to provide good customer service. I felt very well looked after while discussing selection options with the staff. The offering look very good and I cannot wait until I get home to sample their wares.

Duchess is not the same as it use to be! We picked up Almond Croissants on Saturday, April 10th morning and they were burned and with very little filling that too was so dry from inside! Very disappointed!

What can I say? It is Duchess!
I got a nice selection of Duchess goods today, and they were delivered in a perfect condition. Each piece was a work of art! Beautiful both to the eyes and the tastebud.

Love Duchess for last few years but this Christmas 2020 was bit ruined for us is it because of 2020 karma, croissants were cold and probably 2-3 days old, Buche de Noël was like buche de nothing, cake was dry and chocolate ganache was meh, overall very disappointing to order and wait than you get a cake that I could have made at home, sorry but if you can't make bûche right way don't bother just do icing cakes but French delicacies leave them alone.

Always delicious, always a beautiful place to visit. My favourites include the gruyère croissants, sour cherry + sour cream pie and triple chocolate chip cookies.

The food is just so good. Always savour every bite of it. The place itself is also gorgeous in design. I own the duchess cookbook, and the recipes work beautifully from there too.

This place should sell belts.because you are going to need a bigger one once you finish eating all the fantastic baked goods

Delicious selection of tarts, cookies, and other pastries. Got a few different holiday items and they were all delicious! Also really like all the take and go products they had displayed to look at while you waited.

It's not the most economical bakery in town, but you definitely get what you pay for. They certainly deserve the awards they've won. I highly recommend trying them out.
