Shalom l wanted to share my experience with Ryan the tech from dryland mechanical. My furnace stopped working just as the weather started to dip a little. When Ryan arrived he wS well informed and knew what type, make and yer of furnace I had. He listened patiently to my story of how. My furnace had suddenly ceased to work and then in literally two seconds of looking he made a diagnosis. He showed my baffle eyes the exhausted motor and explained how it had ceased up. Then he set about finding a replacement motor which could have been a challenge as my furnace is quite old. He found it before I could finish my cup of decafinnated tea. I was very impressed. He was courteous, knowledgeable and respectfully educational. I would highly recommend this particular young man Ryan from Dyland.

Had a bit of a clerical error on behalf of my builder, which resulted in some frustration. Dyand called and explained the situation, very professional and understanding. Literally the best customer service I have received since buying my home and technically they don't owe me anything. Thank you Dyand.

After waiting a few weeks for our furnace to get fixed by someone else, our landlord called DYAND. Ryan, the HVAC tech, was very helpful and friendly when he came to fix our furnace. He went above and beyond to replace the inducer motor same day, despite the difficulty in finding the motor in the city. We are very grateful to him for getting our heat working before the snow hit on the weekend.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with DYAND for the installation of my new air conditioner, and we couldn't be happier with the entire process. From the initial consultation to the final installation, their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction was outstanding.

Very good company to deal with. From start to finish the quote and work was done with as quoted. The install took longer than expected but that was due to the installers taking the time needed to do it correctly and not just as quick as possible. It was a large complicated scope of work and it was completed extremely well.

Our furnace stopped working during the coldest week of the year. With having a newborn baby in the house it was crucial to get our issue sorted ASAP. We reached out to Dyand and Melvin was out to our place very quickly to go over details on a new furnace and installation. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Our new installation was set up soon after and James and Ryan that did the installation were very professional and did amazing work. Highly recommend.

Ryan and his partner did an excellent job replacing our furnace. They were very friendly and careful as they brought in the new furnace and removed the old. They were very patient with setting up the thermostat and explaining how to use it. It was a smooth operation from start to finish. The system is exactly what was recommended by Melvin and we are happy with the choice. I recommend this firm.

Update: Lucy from Dyand contacted me two business days later to arrange delivery of the furnace filter I needed. To make up for the confusion, she offered me a free furnace service next year. I really appreciated the timely follow up, the friendly service and the offer of a solution.

Our new homeowner manual (May 2021) included a Dyand flyer promoting an annual furnace maintenance plan so I called to sign up. The receptionist confirmed the information she had on file and scheduled the appointment, but the tech didn’t know anything about the annual plan or the services promised in the flyer. After checking with the office, he advised me that me the plan isn’t offered anymore. Instead, he performed a basic service for the annual plan price. Since he didn’t bring a filter for my furnace model, despite the receptionist checking my installation records, “someone will bring one by next time they’re in the neighbourhood”. A company with integrity would have explained the change at the time of booking or honoured the promotion.

Had a great technician work with us in our 70 year old home installing a new furnace. Worked efficiently and was diligent to ensure we understood how all parts of the new furnace worked. Appreciated the thorough clean up. Would recommend their services! Thank you!

I do not recommend this business, after installing my AC a number of years ago they left large gaps when drilling holes in the furnace for the AC lines. Significant air would leak out of the gaps. When I called they said it would be a week before anyone could come out to seal the gaps. I couldn’t wait so I sealed it myself. Couldn’t believe the tech would leave huge gaps for cold/heated air to escape.
Then three years ago the AC stopped blowing cold air, called them back, tech came out and said I had a leak. Since the system was still under warranty you would think the service would be covered. No they said couldn’t find a leak so can’t prove warranty issue. Paid over $500 to recharge.
So this year same thing happens no cold air, called a different company and they said If it was them that installed the AC a leaking issues would clearly be covered under warranty. So don’t recommend Dyand from my experience.

I booked them for a Ac installation it’s was supposed to be a 1 day job that turn into 5 visit job to complete. They don’t take ownership of their mistakes and make up excuses worst companies to deal with ever. Long story short the Ac stop working a week after

Had this company install an new furnace and AC unit in early October. The work took 2 days instead of one and they did a good job installing the furnace. BUT they installed the wrong thermostat and did not inform us. We were to have a wifi thermostat, after some initial issues they had to get a different thermostat. They said they had to 'upgrade' it and the manual they left was for the Honeywell T10. But the actual thermostat they installed is not only not a smart thermostat, it was a major downgrade to a T4 (over a $200 difference in price and a 3 year older version). Once this was realized this different we called to have it the correct thermostat installed. They said they would 'find' us the correct thermostat and then call us back. A week later and still no response from this company or sales manager Brad. The very least they could have done was be honest about what they were installing OR getting at least a T6 or other similarly compatible smart thermostat. I would not recommend as their customer service is lacking, and make sure you check their work.
Update: it has now been 6 weeks since the initial install. They have been back to ‘install’ a wifi thermostat 5 times. Asked for a Nest instead of Honeywell and was told no. So instead they installed a whole IAQ system for the wifi instead of one thermostat, but only left me installation guides and no manuals. If we had not kept on them to install what they promised, we never would have heard from them again. Definitely would NOT recommend them.

UPDATE: Come the beginning of summer when tempos started to skyrocket I discovered that my brand new A/C was not working. There was literally no cold air coming from my vents. Tried adjusting settings, etc to no effect. Called Dyand to come take a look, of course due to temps they said it would be a WEEK before they could even come look at it, but did not provide a date or appointment. EIGHT days later I called back, they had completely forgotten they were supposed to come out.so ANOTHER 3 days later Dyand was finally at my house to check my A/C. And low and behold, they hadn't even hooked it up properly. They literally came out to install an A/C and furnace in OCTOBER but forgot to even hook up the A/C so it was not 'fully installed' and working properly until I had to call them back TWICE to come out 6 months later. Save yourself the headaches and AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Furnace stopped working, called and spoke with very pleasant lady. Dispatched technician within two hours. Technician was polite, on time and very efficient. Repaired fan mount and heat was back on in four hours. A week later, furnace fan quit again. Quick, polite service and replaced capacitor. A different problem and no additional charge to first service call. Very happy with their service and will use again.

Dyand installed the heating and ventilation system in our new build property 4 years ago. The installation was substandard and they had to come back to seal all of the leaks in the ducts with foil tape where air was pouring out, but only the ducts that were not already behind drywall so we are no doubt paying to heat the void spaces due to leaky ducts that were never sealed properly.
We do not get effective heating to the furthest areas of the home from the furnace. I noticed all of the dampers were left 100% open so I contacted them about balancing the system but the 'engineer' they sent had no idea what I was talking about. I understand the dampers are not entirely effective but they do help divert the air to where it is needed - they are there for a reason!
The worst part of the whole job is that the incompetent installer ran a heating duct directly behind the thermostat location, so the thermostat trips off well before the house is at the required temperature - absolute basic schoolboy error! Our thermostat has to be set to 28 degrees to reach a comfortable temperature upstairs, unfortunately this means rooms that are a close duct run from the furnace are like a sauna.
They have no interest in resolving the situation so we stopped trying but safe to say, I would never use or recommend this company.

Dyand came to fix our furnace and identified the problem as the control board. He temporarily fixed the problem bypassing the control board and returned a week later to replace it. The replacement board was not correct and resulted in a blown fuse when he tried it. The tech then tried to reinstall the old control board and shorted it on start up, leaving us with no control board and a non-functional furnace on the friday of the coldest weekend of the season (-36C at night).

I asked if they had an emergency supply of space heaters as we only had a couple small heaters. The tech told me there was nothing he could do and promptly left.

The result is significant expense to me both in cold temperature damages and contracting another company to clean up their mess.

I had probably the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life with this company. So I had them do my new furnace 6 years ago and this winter (before this recent cold) the furnace has been acting up, it’ll only run for 15 minutes at a time then stop for an hour. So my place is freezing. I pulled out my sales agreement with them where I agreed at a cost of several hundred dollars more to have a “10 year parts and labour warranty”. I figured in the next ten years I’ll likely need service once or twice and that should cover it. So I call in, discuss my problem and they say they can have someone out to review which starts at $250 (or something about that) and then whatever work needed is extra. I remind them I have this 10 year agreement and they say that is only valid if I had my furnace serviced by them every year, which I later find out would have been another couple hundred dollars. A year! Unreal. So by this logic I paid several hundred dollars for an insurance policy basically and then would have had to pay another say $250 a year for annual service so in the event something happened I could save $250. This is Insane. I explained to them how ridiculous that is and also that no where on my agreement e to does it say I need to pay them annually for a regular service. I have since had a friend of a friend come over who does this sort of thing who commented how poor the install is and that the issues my furnace has now are because of how the drain was ran which he explained was the easy / wrong way. The right way would have taken another 20 minutes to do at install. I have never been so disappointed with a company in my life. Furthermore he states annual service is a scam and you need a service maybe once in 10 years. Avoid these criminals at all costs. I feel these losers actually stole from me and I hope they all wind up on the streets as cold as I have been in my house

The old furnace was not heating and Dyand was able to schedule a replacement for the next day. Sven and Sterling arrived on time and assessed what had to be done. They carefully moved in the new furnace, still in its box, which we appreciated. They also observed all COVID rules. They removed the old furnace and wanted to get the new one installed quickly because the house was cold. They seemed to be a good team and were quite pleasant. When they were done, Sven explained things, checked to see that the area was clean, and made sure we were satisfied.

Pathetic service overcharged for the some service. No customer service ethics. I paid them twice for the same job. I paid them $250 just to put the battery and a fuse. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

TERRIBLE! Their guy came to assess whether the job could be done and decided it could be. Great! They sent their team of installers to do it. They were unable to fish the wire from furnace room to electrical box and left. So my husband went over to the place and fished a wire for them. Called them back to finish the job. They did not make it a priority to return to finish the job. Instead we had to wait about 5 days. They were supposed to arrive today at 1 to finish the job. (Husband took more time off work).
Sales guy called at 3 to say they decided not to do the job. Do not use these guys. Completely unprofessional and unreliable.

If you can, you NEED to have Justin take care of your service / install. Needed someone to come back and look at an install of an ac unit.thank god it was Justin who was extremely professional and finished my install the way it should have been done in the first place.

Ian Kidd was fantastic and gave great advice for future maintenance of my furnace. The blower went on the furnace and within 2 hours of my call Ian was there and had it fixed. He also took time to look the whole furnace over even though the main problem was the blower. Appreciated the thoroughness, speed, and helpful attitude.

I bought air purifier $ 3.000 by Carrier because i was informed that it would help me a lot with asthma symptoms. Just before warranty expired the led light was gone on it, so i assumed the air purifier broke down. I called Dyand. Mechanical. The mechanic came spend 30-45 minutes to figure what was wrong then after all the testing told me" well the power is on but i don't know why the light is not on", so he order new one. Different guy came to install and look like he had hard time to install air purifier i asked him if he have done it before he said "oh yeah that's why they send me here. Well 2 month later led light went off again, i called again to have someone to come and reassess. Same guy came, fiddle around couldn't figure out what is wrong. Then called Carrier company directly who guide him through how to check properly if it's working or not. Then he charged me for diagnostics $125 because Dyand Mechanical can't trained their stuff properly to do diagnostics and charge consumers. This company is not what it use to be, I called sales manager name Brad to discuss this matter who never returned my calls. Just tells you they don't care, there is other companies out there that would provide better service.

Had to have the fan motor replaced on our Carrier furnace. The technician, Ian K, that came to our house was fantastic. He was very professional in diagnosing the issue and honest in explaining what he was fixing along the way. There as a slight noise issue when the new motor was installed but instead of leaving the noise for me to discover later, Ian talked to me about it and came up with a creative way to solve the issue to my satisfaction. He was very easy going and personable to have a conversation with which is nice to see. Thanks again and I would recommend for anyone's next furnace repair.

Had a great customer service experience with Hussein Sahly.

Hussein is very knowledgeable and cares for his customers. He went above and beyond and walked me through the troubleshooting procedure on the phone and got my furnace running properly.

It was below 30 deg C in Edmonton yesterday and I had no heat in my home. With every other company turning me down or giving me very long response times, I decided to call Dyand Mechanical Systems as they installed the furnace in my new home and placed their contact info sticker on my furnace 5years ago. It was an emergency and Hussein helped me in my time of need.

I would highly recommend this Dyand Mechanical to anyone. Hussein Sahly deserves all the praise and a raise: D

Dyand's hvac installation for newer houses are actually pretty good (on par with weiss johnson for sure). As a furnace and air duct cleaning technician (the fresh living furnace cleaning), i've cleaned many houses in southwest edmonton that have the ductworks built by dyand so I know whether each house's ductwork quality is good or not. Their air flow distribution and duct sealing are nearly gapless, meaning you'll get minimal air leaks and good heat distribution. If you are buying a house, definitely consider Dyand's ductwork as a pro on the house's list. However, as always, make sure you fully test the air flow (cfm) distribution at each vent just in case. One last thing, in 2010ish houses, Dyand quite often doesn't have the open/close valves for the basement's hot air duct (likely due to cost issues). Personally I'm fine with that, as you can rubber band some aluminum foil at the exit to close it. But if that concerns you, you can check whether there are opening valves in the basement's vents.

My furnace broke down during the weekend. Call Dyand Mechanical since they were the ones that installed the furnace 2 years prior. Called them in the morning, they said someone from service would call me right away, 5 hours went by and I had to call them again, service technician called me within 30 minutes afterwards. I told him what was the issue (code 45- Control Fault) showed up, he asked me for the model number and serial number which I provided. He told me that parts would be under warranty since furnace was only 2 years old; however, labour was not and provided me with pricing just to go there and the hourly rate. Shows up checks the furnace for a bit and states that it requires a new control panel. Goes back and forth from van to mechanical room various times, and finally tells me that he is waiting for control panel as he did not have that one in the van (not sure why he asked for model number and serial number over the phone when I mentioned code 45- Control Fault, if it was not to have a control panel in hand). Replaced the control panel in 10 minutes and ends up charging me 2 hours of service as the van was in my driveway just over an hour. The total bill just for labour for changing a control panel was $680.

Recently purchased a home built in 2011 which has a Dyand HVAC system. Went to change the furnace inlet filter and found that Dyand made their dimensions slightly different from standard filter sizes forcing homeowners to buy directly from them and at premium. Standard dimension 16 x 25 x 4. Their opening is 15-1/2 x 24-1/2 x 3-3/4. Cost at Canadian tire $26/each VS $39/each at Dyand.

Now I can't attest to the quality of the system as a whole but this act is unethical and greasy. Im sure there will be other hidden gems to be found over the years to come.

Worst part is I had called customer service while shopping for the size I needed. He claimed they were standard dimension until I asked him to physically measure it.

We are writing today to tell you how extremely pleased we are with dealing with Dyand Mechanical and the Wood and Energy Store. We just finished having installed a brand new Reznor garage heater and a top of the line, super efficient Carrier furnace. Our house is a 4 level split home and we were experiencing various differences in heat from the lower to the top floors. We contacted Dyand and spoke to their manager Brad Mader, who attended our property, and saw our dilemma and told us in very simple, plain and easy to understand language what we needed to do to solve the problem. At the same time we had three other HVAC companies come to our property and give us quotes. Of all the people that we invited to give us quotes, Dyand, we felt, had the solution and we went forward with them. It seemed to us that the other HVAC companies were only interested in selling us a furnace and didn't have a resolve to our heating imbalance problem. We've now had the furnace for better than two weeks and are totally amazed at the balance of heat that we now have in our home (which is approximately 2500 square feet). We were also very surprised at the pricing. Even though it was a top of the line Carrier house furnace, other firms that quoted were as much as $1500 to $1800 higher for lesser quality models. The Dyand install staff were prompt, courteous, and left the house immaculate. Both my wife and I very much recommend Dyand Mechanical, and Wood and Energy Store (as we also have a gas fireplace that we purchased from them 18 years ago, and still working great). We close in saying that this is a completely unsolicited review and are willing to back up anything that we have written here.

Furnace went out on Super Bowl Sunday and Dyand was the only company of 3 I contacted who got back to me. That is why they won my business. The furnace was installed shortly after. As the weather heated up we realized that the air conditioner was not running for longer than a couple of minutes. I contacted Nicole in service and she was great. She was able to schedule a service call the same day. A tech (Justin) came out and he was able to change a setting on the control board so the a/c worked properly. I was also very happy that he also took the time to show me how to change the fan speed when we just want the fan running. I appreciate how prompt and pleasant Justin was. Thanks again!

I called the Dyand furnace service department the end of January (2019) and they sent Josh the technician out to the service call. He was very courteous and listened as I explained what the furnace was doing during the ignition fail cycle. He did some troubleshooting and gave me 2 options. He tried the least expensive way to resolve my furnace issues first as I requested. When that did not work, he came back again to re-analyze the situation to ensure the more expensive part was really required, left to pick up a new part and returned to fix my furnace the same afternoon. It's been working great ever since. Thank you Josh for your quick, efficient and expedient service. I will definitely use Dyand and Joshs' services again when needed.

Bought my woodstove from here 13 years ago. Great install, no problems ever. Great after hours service for residential furnaces.
