I’ve been using DYK for a number of years now. Super slow service but it is cheap for inbound. 19 days to get 4 boxes to Calgary from Montana. One identified that they didn’t send the information in to customs there was still 0 sense of urgency. Frustrated once again.

Nice people but no ability to do any customer service as most people speak limited English here and don't understand basic customer service do and don'ts. 3 times today when I was ringing out she went and helped another customer. Missed my bus because of horrible customer service today.
Hire someone to watch over this store as it needs a manager.

Just had my first experience using dyk post for a cross border transfer. The lady working at the south branch was very helpful and informative. I would definitely use dyk post again!

I would recommend DYK post to any small business that ships to the US. A total life saver! Dropping off is easy, using their online system is great and the monthly invoice option is super neat to keep track of your trips to the post office and for book keeping.
Have been using DYK for like 3 years and didn't have much noticeable issues with them. Sometimes I do wish customer service could be better and the front staff could provide details for simple inquires, without asking to email the management.

I use DYK Post to ship products to USA. It is one of the best companies I used so far to ship my products and they arrive on time or early. DYK Post is a trustworthy company with excellent customer service and great communication. I am grateful to found this shipping company and would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable, honest, trustworthy and affordable shipping company. I have used DYK Post several times now and no longer recommend them. When I first started using them a few years ago their customer service was top notch. They did runs to the border twice a week and their systems were efficient. I recommended them to so many people.

Fast forward to now. What should take a couple days now takes a couple weeks. My last delivery I thought perhaps it was COVID and a busy time of year so I gave them another try. Things haven’t changed and I have received rude emails.

Good luck getting answers to your questions. When you finally get frustrated, they deflect and blame the customer.

I have an important package that has now sat for 2 weeks waiting for them to pick up and I have been told I won’t get it until next week. Instead of taking responsibility for their inefficient systems, they blame the customer. There is no attention to detail and in fact the last email they sent they used the wrong name.

It’s really too bad seeing a company go downhill to much. I won’t be using them or recommending them in the future.

Rude and unprofessional customer service also ripped my money for an item that was returned.it was such a horrible experience.

Reply: I came with my shipping label and I believe that was supposed to be your job to guide or provide a customer a package that can go with the shipping label that you mentioned.

I run my own business and DYK has always handled my packages cautiously and has delivered them on time for only $2-$3. I have trouble with USPS, however, because of DYK's exceptional customer service, they reached out to me and provided me with contact details of the person I could contact to resolve my issue. I really appreciate their hard work and efforts.

It is a great way to get shipments from my USA address for small packages. It is very expensive for bigger items. If you are in a hurry to get your items you should not use this service, they are a little slow and the communication is not the best.

Revising the review, since the owner (Daniel) was able to assist in quickly resolving the mishandling issues once I was able to finally reach him.
Communication has improved in the past couple months, but it unfortunately still took multiple attempts & escalations to talk directly with Daniel to resolve multiple issues that had built up until that point. To his credit, he did take matters to his own hands to resolve them, despite the busy schedule he is dealing with expansions in 2021/2022.

The staff are not well trained, they had put wrong type of postage and shipping labels on multiple occasions, leading to packages coming back with failed delivery notice + processing/storage fee at Montana Mailbox due to the error.

Their responses have been to “pay Montana mailbox the processing fee”, despite the fact that the problems occurred in first place by Dyk staff’s screw up.

Focus on rapid branch expansion in the past year hasn’t helped with the training issue, aside from increasingly arrogant attitudes.

Dyk needs to figure this out because it's hurt the reputation of dyk post!

I would like to be able to leave two reviews here since the two sides of the business being shipping from Canada into the USA and the other side of the business with shipping from the USA into Canada with the integration of Montana Mailbox. Shipping from Canada into the USA has always been quick, seamless, and easy - and very cost effective. This portion of the business is an easy 5 stars. The shipping to Montana mailbox and then into Canada is a complete disaster. Montana mailbox used to be a good staging area for packages before being imported into Canada. They were reasonably priced and packages were booked in the same day that they arrived to the warehouse. That was before COVID. Now, I would highly advise against using the importing service with the Montana Mailbox intermediary. They can't be counted on for any sort of timeliness. There is no accountability to timelines since there is nobody to liaise with at Montana Mailbox. They don't answer phones, they don't reply to emails, they can take up to a month to book parcels in. Montana mailbox is a complete joke. DYK Post needs to seriously look at other options or just discontinue their import service altogether. What was once a great importing service is unfortunately no more.

The levied duties and taxes make it almost similar price as paying them directly from the vendor. Very expensive!

Good service but lacking in technology and modern integrations. For a smaller seller, maybe that’s OK but for a big shipper where hundreds of packages are involved, this is a deal breaker. Just cannot be efficient enough with them + prices are not as good compared to competitor anyway. I would wait until they improve their systems before shipping with them if you value your time.

I use this place for shipping to the states or overseas. If you ship to Canada the rates are similar to Canada Post. You will save money if you take the time to research the rates and how they work. Don't forget that the rates are in US dollars which confused me the first few times. I appreciate the free boxes and never had an issue with items being lost. My customers are very happy that the items arrive for the most part extremely fast.

I dont know if these guys are a legit business or a scam operation. Multiple times have they lost my packages and they never take responsibility. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. Stay away from them!

It is faster to receive a parcel from China. It takes 2 weeks just to pick up the parcel from Montana Mailbox and it takes 10 business days for them to get it in their system so it can even be picked up. The fact that they run service to Calgary 6 days a week is pretty much irrelevant since they are so slow to process anything. Be aware of how slow it is, they do not mention it on their website. Terrible service all around. Not very responsive to inquiries. I will never use their services again.

Well after several attempts at getting a hold of these people to try and determine a time when I can expect my package, no luck. Unfortunately, I've used these people too many times with same result and this one will be the last. They had a good thing going but lost site of what got them there.

Staff is extremely helpful! I had an issue with uploading a document and thought that it would cause major problems /delay but they had a very quick and intelligent work around / process! It is very refreshing dealing with staff that is friendly, helpful and go out of their way to help!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very frustrating experience and awful customer service. Go to chitchats instead. They have the same services and WAY better customer service. International shipping is also cheaper. Dykpost doesn't treat you like a customer, they only see the money. Ironic because their whole business relies on small businesses. Without the small businesses, you are nothing.

Very unfortunate customer service. My package was received in Montana mailbox by December 30th and since now after 20 days they didn’t yet allocate a ticket for pick up. Disappointing experience when followed this up with both managers in Calgary and Sweet Grass. I understand this happened for many other customers and they even don’t have a recovery plan. If you are looking for a reliable and fast shipping service, don’t use this company.

They lost a very valuable package of mine. I’ve inquired about it so many times with no response from the owner/management. I’ve spent a lot using DYK Post’s services, but they don’t care about making things right. They’ll continue adding fees to lead you to believe it’ll improve their services, but I don’t see any improvements at all. I’ve been trying to get an answer about my lost package for over a month now, but I still have not heard anything. Bad customer service.

Used to be great but we have been waiting 3 weeks now to get our boxes brought up from the US. No one responds to emails and I cannot seem to get any help when asking to speak to a manager. Things went downhill when Grace left. Wish I could get answers as to why it is taking almost a month now to get boxes up.

They used to be good but it seems like customer service has went way downhill. One employee tells me I cant ship a package because its too big and refuses to even give a shipping quote, i email them to clarify and I get different answers and different prices depending who I email. Management really needs to get it together.

As you wait in line to ship one small package, you will have PLENTY of time to ponder the age old dilemma of wether it’s better to save money or save time. Maybe worth it to ship big packages, not for small stuff. Do NOT go here if you are in a rush. Employees seem nice but I think their mascot is the sloth from the kids cartoon “Zootopia”.

Put the wrong shipping labels on the two items I sent to the states.so now both buyers have the wrong items and I am on the hook to bring them back and resend them, costing me money, time, and reviews.

I have used these guys in the past and its been good, but this is incredibly frustrating.

Friendly service, they make it easy and cheap to ship to US and international. Less than half of what Canada Post charges even with their small business discounts.

I used DYK Post services to order a product that did not shipped to Canada for the first time and the experience was very pleasant overall! I was a little hesitant at first, but fortunately their staff was very friendly and answered all the questions that I had. I had the product shipped to Montana and it was later picked up by DYK Post. Pricing seemed reasonable to me given how expensive shipping from US to Canada can be (if available). I will definitely use their services again if I ever want to buy something that does not ship to Canada.

They actually "had" a great service years ago when they were small with a single office but they got super greedy by slipping in hidden fee's to the point they now run a full fledged SCAM ring. Endless HIDDEN charges, (many that aren't advertised). Don't fall for their "import and pricing examples" these are only a fraction of what you'll really pay. It now starts with them forcing you to deliver packages to their secretly owned Montana Mailbox warehouse where they profit on both sides of the border. Then charge high storage fee's in USD while your waiting for more items to arrive on top of an insane exchange rate of $1.62 USD/CAD which isn't disclosed anywhere. Plus invoices are manually entered and I've noticed they love to sneak in extra $5 line items wherever they can. I've had to call multiple times in the past because of these incorrect amounts and each time had to wait for the owner to get back to me while my packages are put on hold and haggle it out for something as simple as a couple bucks. The crazy part is that's only the beginning. They charge repeat storage fee's after a period where every other warehouse only charges a single storage fee and effectively hold your packages hostage hoping you don't pay and abandon your property so they can keep it for themselves. They refuse to provide a maximum length you can keep the packages in their warehouse hoping you forget about them. Once you spend the time and gas to pick up your packages from their office you realize they tack on small print disbursement fee's, fuel surcharges and more on top of their usual brokerage, pickup service. Don't make the mistake I did, told my friends about DYK back when they were a reputable business now to only have them complain how badly they got ripped off also. Even UPS with their outrageous broker fee's is better then using these guys at this point and UPS even delivers right to your doorstep at no charge. They contract shill fake reviews to hide all the bad reviews, stay far away from this crooked dirty service.

Everything is good EXCEPT their customer service is terrible when it comes to any issues with your package (Calgary Branches, especially NE one). You go drop off a package, ask questions about service and pricing, they are amazing. But if you have issues with your shipment, their answer is "We're not USPS, you have to contact them. " "We're not Fedex, you have to contact them". DOESN'T matter how many times you try to explain the issue or try to make them understand, never willing to listen to the customer and comes back with the SAME answer every single time, "we're not USPS/Fedex, we only charge $1". Charge me more if you have to man but what type of service is this? From Calgary to Montana, until the package gets to USPS, isn't it DYK Post's responsibility to help their customer figure out where the package is? Until it's scanned by USPS, how would I as a customer know that DYK Post has successfully delivered the package to USPS? Them charging only $1/package SHOULD NEVER be an explanation for an issue like this. I'm willing to pay more if needed (probably same with majority of customers), just provide the service you're supposed to INCLUDING customer service, which DYK Post surely don't know the meaning of. UNFORTUNATELY, I have NO CHOICE other than to use them. I would switch to Chit Chats but they don't accept pre-paid shipping labels and the platform I sell on, I need to be able to use the pre-paid labels. I'm stuck not having any secondary option, but that DOESN't Mean that as customer I will accept unfair things. I will use their service as I have no other choice and because I'm paying for it. Not getting free service.

I have used DYK POST multiple times and the service has always been great. I have to also commend the personal attention and great customer service provided by Grace. She went above and beyond to assist and answer all the questions and concerns I had.

Phenomenal prices and service! I always use them for USA and International shipments. I have been using their service since they had one location in Calgary in NE and now they have grown so much across Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary that speaks to their success at keeping prices low and adding value for customers.

Mixed results using them to buy from the States. If the purchase is a couple hundred dollars and physically bulky, there's probably some savings to be had. If it's a small, cheap package (eg.size of a brick, weighs maybe a pound, value well below $100), you're probably going to be very disappointed when the fees cost you as much as the item itself. The extra little hidden fees and surcharges don't improve the sour taste that leaves, either.

That wouldn't be insurmountable, but you can't effectively 'bundle' such small packages together to get any kind of scaled savings, as each individual package resets the fee scale. YMMV of course, but for the bulk of my cross border shopping (the aforementioned small packages), I'm forced to conclude that it's cheaper to just get it shipped conventionally.

DYK Post provides a basic service that Canada Post should provide but doesn't. They ship items with tracking to the United States and Internationally for a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, they have high front staff turnover and confusing systems that are not user friendly. It is typically a very time consuming and frustrating experience. Questions are not easily answered and the website is confusing. Even the bill doesn't list which tracking number goes with which package so you need to take a picture of each one manually. I've taught other customers how to fill in the manifests on several occasions because the instructions provided by the employees are not clear.

I used DYK post to bring a security camera system in to Canada and everything was perfect. Grace contacted me when I asked her to and let me know the cost and availability. Will certainly use this service again.
