If I could give zero stars I would. On Monday October 16,2023, the black desk attendant working during the evening shift was absolutely horrible. If you hate your job that is fair but do not take it out on customers. This place has horrible customer service all around, from the front desk attendants, the actual staff who also take your blood are rude, even the lab techs. I asked one of the lab techs a simple question and they snapped at me viciously. Do better, all of you.

Went for simple blood work. They did it correctly. Tried going in without an appointment and had to wait an hour. Really needs an expansion

Worst Service ever seen. They are so slow and so lazy. Can't believe suh slow people are in medical services. Someone from authority must come and check how they are working. The front desk ladies are so rude and always shouting. So irritating. I hope someone take action.

I did not know about the “save my place” option until today. Someone from central booking explained it to me, and stayed on the phone until I had gone through the process. I forgot to ask her name, but she was very helpful- it was at about 0900 July 27 23. Unbeknownst to me, I missed something, as when I arrived found out from Lucas, who was receiving clients who had “saved a place”. He did not have my name, but graciously put me into the system, which was incredibly helpful, as I needed to get back to work as quickly as possible.
Upasana is the technician who did my blood work. She was very thorough, professional, efficient and kind. I will go to this location every time I can, using the “save my place” option online. SUCH a good idea!

Registered for my son's blood work today using Qme Save my place. But didn't receive a text to enter even after 90 minutes. Came to the lab and the receptionist didn't have a clue on how their own Qme system works. She told me I have to come to the lab after the registration to register again. It seems the system doesn't work on Sundays.

The staff there is very disrespectful. On multiple visits from me and family members we encountered issues with the workers at the front, from not knowing how to handle a person who won't wear a mask, to pushing people out in the cold at -20 degrees winter telling them to sit in their car while they wait, when they didn't have a car to sit in. Absolute garbage. Only managers over there would be respectful and know how to deal with situations, the front desk staff are useless robot slaves with no common sense.

The worst dynalife. Wouldn’t do my blood work because I am a student from out of province with a temporary Alberta health are card number. Went to a different one and had NO problems. The lady seemed like she just wanted to be mean and difficult.

Shaikoi yang’s review is right, this east or south Asian lady at the front yells and attacks or is hostile for no reason. I went in same thing occurred. Starting from McDonald’s at 14 years old and I had more hospitality skills. Now to being a senior banker at a Top 5 Bank for 5+ yrs now, she is at Dennis level menace! Dynalife needs to reconsider her because when confronted after a 2 mins convo I was forced to say “I was hospitalized… and don’t be rude” her quick response was “I’m not rude”, at this point it was clear she has other motives/agenda and it’s not to treat clients/patients in a professional or even a bare bones McDonald’s level of care manner. 1/5 stars but should be -5/5 with her behaviour alone. Everyone else was great! Blood work was quick, the actually nurse was very quick and didn’t hurt. 5/5 for the actual nurses. Admin section has an ego and attitude problem but I digress.:)

Dynalife Heritage should really work on teaching customer service to its staff. I recently went with my little daughter and the guy at the front desk cut me off instead of answering my question. Then the phlebotomist girl (wearing lots of make-up and bad attitude) snapped at me to hold my daughter when I told her gently I am putting on a cartoon on my phone to distract her even though I had told her she had special needs. (The other girl, Maria, who came to help the caked-up girl was really nice, I should mention.) Treating non-white patients like cattle. Leave your bad manners where you learnt them, I guess. You are busy, I get it. I am a HCW too. However, interpersonal skills are part of healthcare jobs. Ask your management to hire more people to lower your "stress". There are people much more qualified than you looking for jobs, trust me.

The reception is extremely rude! Unacceptable! They have a sign outside by the door that people with appointments would go to counter 2 but then we got yelled out by the lady in reception saying there was only one line! She could have said it in a more professional and polite manner!

A busy location. Staff are usually pleasant to deal with for the most part. I try to go early in the day.
My last lab work required about a 45 minute wait.

Never have good experience with location. Always has long wait. Moody staff. And very slow. You expect to wait almost and hour or more after you receive the text.

What’s the point of booking appointment o line if you can’t take those people on time. This is 4th time happened when I book appointment on specific time and they take me in after 2 hour and just mentioned that they have to prioritize walk ins. If you really need to do that just don’t allow people to book appointments. And while I am doing this review I am in line already and waiting from one hour.

Forget to mentions that staff is rude

Always chaotic and super busy, you want to try a different location. They should add a category to the app for booking appointment / save my place for time critical exams. I booked for an exam that has to be done from 8 am to 10 am. I got called in at 9: 45 and they told me they could not do it because it was almost 10 am. So I wasted 1.5 hrs of my time waiting outside. The staff need to work on their communication skills to be able to understand the patient's questions and explain things better.

To be a university instructor, I do not usually write bad reviews because I can see life is not easy for most people. However, our experience on December 18th at about noon shocked me and was anything but pleasant. We went to this lab (10917 23 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6J 4V9) for blood work test.

We told the lady at the front desk (a very nice lady) that my wife needed to do two tests, one today and another 18 days later. She then told us to pass the two test sheets to a nurse (her name seems to be Lily, and she seems to be an East or Southeast Asian and was on the shorter side)
We handed her our papers and said hello she said nothing in return. Then, she walked us to a blood drawing station. She took at least 5+ minutes to enter the test into the computer and got mad at us because I told her that one test needed to be performed 18 days later. She blamed me for giving her two sheets and kept accusing me with a hostile attitude for about TWO minutes. We had done blood tests with DynaLIFE labs several times but in other centers, and this was the first time my wife had ever left a place in tears.

I do not understand why the nurse thinks she can yell at others loudly and rudely in public.

I do not understand why DynaLIFE Labs put a 1000 characters limitation on my complaint message. If you want to avoid hearing complaints, do not pretend you want to.

I had to visit this place as a walk in patient because there was no appointment available for 4 weeks. Their website has a Save my Place option where you can save your place and come in when your number is up. This feature was disabled and the clinic had at least 40 patients stand outside the lab in cold in -25 degrees. Dynalife should have a better way of managing walk ins as the appointments are almost always full for 3 weeks.

Worst staff, please train them well before thry poke us. I got needles on my BOTH ARMS just because he forgot to draw another tube of my blood.when needles in my vain he was still moving the needles around, hurt.and bruise after. Come on dynalife.worst

Very busy location, had an appointment was only about 7-10 minutes over which I think it pretty standard no matter where you go. Definitely best to book an appointment. My tech was great, I have difficult veins to find but they found one and I literally didn't feel the needle! Was happy that unlike Tawa centre this tech actually removed their gloves and replaced them with a fresh pair. Thank you.

Very poor management, the staff gives wrong instructions. I came in to assist my parents to get the test, at first the staff told me I can sit together with my parents while wait, but after two minutes the staff said I cannot. The worst Dynalife location.

Arrived here and they said that wait till you received the sms. So we went to have dinner as it was not a problem. However after we received the message we waited 40 min inside for what? Why do u send the message if you don’t have the nurse available. We had no problem to wait outside and finish out things. Supervisor has to monitor the surrounding here, the stuff as well seems not to be in hurry. Totally opposite to another brunches.

I came for an appointment as walking and waited one hour after I check in. I got message in 10min, but when I walk-in they can’t find my name or information so I have to talk to more people and explain. It’s not organized and unprofessional.

I showed up around 11: 30am without an appointment. It was extremely busy. They efficiently moved patients through the clinic and did my blood work, ECG and other test all within 40 minutes. I was impressed and thankful for their expertise and organization!

I always have great experiences here! Technicians are always nice, gentle, and helpful. Of course there is a bit of waiting, but that's to be expected at DynaLIFE or any other walk-in healthcare facility. I recommend doing the "Save My Place" online. Highly recommend!

The wait time was super short, was told 30-50 minutes for a walk in with at least 10 people ahead. Was called in 25 minutes, went in right away. Mohammed was really fantastic, didn't feel the needle and didn't bruise the next day.

Booked an appointment for 1.20pm. Got called at 1.30 and got free by 1.50pm. The walk-in wait times were over one hour though. The person who took my tests was professional and efficient. There was no bruising and she explained everything clearly. The place is clean and there is sufficient parking in the plaza. The seating inside is limited.
One star less because there are very few DynaLife labs especially if the entire population of Alberta is dependent on them. I did book online but the date I got was weeks later.

Horrible costumer service. If you are in any kind of immigration process and need medical work done do not go there. They tried taking advantage of my mother. Got her to pay for exams even though she was fully covered by insurance and they new they weren’t supposed to.

This place is a serious tire fire and needs a management review immediately. Over 2 hours to get some blood drawn. Absolutely awful. Staff are as angry as we are on how things are run.

Absolutely disgusting washrooms, I was shocked to see how gross they were as this is a medical setting. They also took several stabs to get into my vein, very painful.

As always, the wait time for these places usually is dependant on patient volume. This was fine. They’re always as fast as they can be.

I’m really reviewing this place to say thank you to Sharmin who works here.

I have always had trouble with people getting blood from veins, literally my whole entire life, and usually techs, doctors, nurses etc always have to take the blood from my hands after a lot of effort and trying.

I warned Sharmin of this, she listened and was attentive and patient, but she took care and managed to get blood right away from my arm, with no pains, no hassle. I was genuinely shocked, because it has never been so easy.

I’ve always been told I’m a slow bleeder, and the time before it took 45 minutes of someone trying before we got blood to use in tests.

Sharmin was absolutely amazing. And I really hope to see her next time I need bloods drawn. Very professional.

When making an appointment make sure you are available for 15+ minutes after it (I waited 20 today) because they will take walk-ins before you because they are "understaffed and busy". How is that my problem? I made this appointment weeks ago. Appointments should take priority.

The communication at this place was extremely lackluster. I arrived at 8: 45 AM and was told it was 1.5 hour wait and they took my requisition form. It's understandable, since COVID has changed how places work. I checked in with them after 1.5 hours and they said it was going to be another 15 minutes or so. Half an hour rolls by and I get in line to check in again. Finally I got a text message while I was waiting to get in. On the screen, inside, it says I walked in at 9: 30 AM, even though I handed them my form before 9 AM. The lady at the door told me to take a seat and wait for my name to be called (there were ~10 people waiting inside still). Another 15 minutes roll by and they announce that if we haven't registered at the desk, that they don't know we are waiting. It would have been nice to be told this when I got through the door. Half the people in the room had just been waiting as told.for nothing. By the time I was done it was 12: 00 PM. The only redeeming part of this whole experience was the technician that helped me was very professional, skilled, and quick. If everything was communicated properly, it would have been fine waiting that long. But the experience was just so poor. If you made it this far in my review, I applaud you and warn you away from this place.

There was a rude receptionist who appers to be about 5 feet 3 to 4 inches in her height. In the reception area, all the chairs were separated from each other in six-feet distance. I was hesitant to have a seat on one of those chairs as I was being cautious of contacting any surface that might have Covid. I decided to stand right next to my chair while I had my mask on and maintained social distance from others. The lady yelled "have a seat! " in very authoritarian tone. I asked her nicely if these chairs have been disinfected. Before I was even done asking my question, she just ignored me and walked away which was extremely unprofessional and just plain rude behaviour. I took a seat on the chair as I was trying to be cooperative. Some staff need to learn basic manner and build soft skills before they start work.

My partner and I needed some blood work done and were told it was a 2 hour wait. We waited, got our texts to come in, waited for a bit longer. My name gets called, I'm in and out rather quickly. My partner was right after me in the queue, and nearly an HOUR after I was done, they were still waiting. I have no idea how much longer they would have waited if I hadn't come in to make a fuss about it. Will choose a new location from now on.

I'm not a dog for you to shout SIT after you confirmed my appointment. Yes. You old Filipino lady at the front desk. This is Canada and not Philippines. Can't treat people like we come in for a free meal. I'm asian btw. You are making Asians look bad. Is it too hard just to say Take a seat and wait for your number? I understand if your English is limited. But please treat customers some respects.

I had to wait for 45 minutes even though I had booked an appointment and walk in were being told wait time is 40minutes. When people kept walking in before me I thought it was probably coz I walked in 3 minutes late but then walk in started going in before me, then she called my name and asked if someone with that name was waiting, like whaat? Then after like 40 minutes they said they couldn't find my requisition form and that's coz when I came in they asked me to wait a couple of mins then just asked if I had an appointment and what time but didn't ask for the form. The front seat had one person handling EVERYTHING not surprised she forgot me while I was sitting right in front of them. I was there for almost an hour for a test that literally took 1 minute to do, not COOL!

I would suggest any other dynalife over this one. Was told an hour to wait and I ended up waiting just over two, which is fine since I understand things can be hectic right now, but the rude and unprofessional staff is unacceptable. I first witnessed staff yelling at multiple people when they were upset over long waits. So many people were being allowed into the waiting room people were crowded around the walls as there was nowhere to sit. The lady that took my blood jabbed the needle into my arm so hard that it hurt way more than it ever should or has in the past, and then lazily slapped the longest piece of tape around my entire arm, which is completely unnecessary. When leaving the lady at the front then dumped a literal pool of sanitizer in my hands; so much so that I had to wipe it all over my pants to get it to dry before I wanted to even touch my car keys. Do not go to this dynalife, the level of care here for a medical facility is abhorrent and disgusting.

Every time i have come for a test I have waited over an hour. Today I have been waiting an hour and 45 minutes, and i have not yet gotten into the waiting room. These people have no respect for their "customers". If wait times are always this long there is a problem that needs to be fixed. This completely unacceptable.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this place was so bad I can't ignore it. Three hours waiting for a single blood test and to leave a urine sample, and seeing many people who arrived after me (and who were listed as "walk-ins" on the testing order display, like me) getting tested before me was extremely frustrating. Will not go back there.
