Just a heads-up that it is unfortunate that this location does not allow Happy Hour unless you are seated in the lounge. All of the Calgary locations that I have visited have been restaurant-wide and not age discriminatory.
Everything was right on the spot. We had an amazing server, Jan Sebastian, he was kind, funny and got us all we need. The food was delicious but the cocktails needs to get better ;) Thank you for a lovely experience.
We had a group event in the Earl's Lounge with about 40 people. Everything went perfectly. The food was great. The drinks were amazing. The servers and staff were top notch. I would highly recommend Earl's for a group dinner. Well done!
Grant and Katie were fantastic servers. They helped us select the best seating for my mom’s wheelchair, made excellent recommendations, and made sure we were well taken care of. Mom had Steak frites, son had hamburger, and I had the Santa Fe salad. We all enjoyed our meal. The lounge is a great atmosphere and the patio is so nice to sit out on. We couldn’t go upstairs to the dining room because of my mom’s wheelchair.
What a lovely dinner. Much better than I anticipated. I got the sushi, and my husband ordered the pizza; it was a beautiful day in Banff. The staff was terrific. If you happen to be in Banff, please visit Earls.
The medium steak I ordered was raw and my friend's medium steak was well overcooked. In my opinion, the service was arrogant and they did not agree to take the cooked steak back, and no refund was offered. I got my steak for free because it was so raw. However, the steak was the most expensive option. Even though I ate for free, it was a big disappointment.
Great location in a beautiful town. Server had a bit of an attitude. Maybe he was just trying to be funny, but it didn't come off that way. Food was a little salty. Large dining room upstairs. Bar looked nice on the 1st floor. Pretty good menu selections. Nice that they could handle a large party on short notice.
We were there at lunchtime over a weekend. Good food as usual from Earls but the service at this one in Banff was by far the worst that I have experienced.
Our server was good in suggesting brewed beer and explaining the food and fortunately he was one of the few who was actually busy. While there were other servers who were not interested in looking at the tables. None of them had a welcoming disposure or a smile on their faces except for our server luckily. Not even the lady who showed us to our table. This is seriously below standard service from a restaurant of Earls reputation, that too at their only outlet at the busy town of Banff.
Earls will always be my go to restaurant in Banff! The servers and bartenders are always attentive and friendly. The food is always perfect! I’ve been loving their brunch that’s available on weekends until 2pm! The best eggs benny in all of Banff, and I’ve tried pretty much every eggs Benny in town!
Usually, Earl's is very consistent. Our food was only above average thought I was really surprised that the smaller serving of clam chowder they gave me was so small. I couldn't believe for the price. How small a soup I got. I sent it back and they gave me some more. So they managed to fix that up. Does service was excellent and the facility is nice.
Had the best steak and sushi! Service was incredible, I believe her name was Bryson. Made our experience at earls so great! Will be back again when we return to Banff.
Came to Banff on a professional development day with 40 people and Earl’s was super accommodating for our lunch reservation! The owner Ron was very communicative and flexible. The food was wonderful, the staff were great and most importantly they were able to handle all of our group’s dietary needs. Highly recommend Earl’s Banff for your next group trip.
We drive to Banff from Calgary for dinner often. Earl's is a favourite.
Conan the Australian provided great service yesterday. We went for the Wednesday steak special for my man, and I had the new "grains and greens with salmon. The chef prepares delicious meals, with beautiful presentation.
The new dessert on the menu is a great example. Photo of our shared caramelized vanilla cheesecake.
Didn't start off very well. Sat ourselves down and was ignored for a while, no menus, no water. Had to flag a server down. Then he spilled water on the table. Came for the Happy Hour eats, food was great, good value, lots of selections. Had the angry chicken lettuce wrap, mushroom and kale pizza, and shrimp bangkok bowl.
A really nice place! We had some drinks at the bar. Friendly conversation with the Barkeeper and the Manager. Absolutely worth a stay to have lunch/dinner or simply a good drink.
We came here for late lunch today. We ordered Thai bowl with shrimp and tofu. The shrimps looked like cocktail shrimp with no grilling at all. Decent food but great service. Maybe there are better options in the menu.
It was one of the worst experiences we’ve have ever had at any of the earl’s locations. Literally worst! The service was terrible, we got our food after 50 minutes of waiting and on top of it the food sucked! This experience made me pretty firm that I never go at any of the earls locations ever again!
