The food was outstanding, the service was great, even though I was in a wheelchair, it wasn't a problem. We took two tables for all food we ordered. It was delicious, 5 thumbs up.
Very nice restaurant. I have to say that of all the restaurants I've gone you have the best gluten free bun so great job! Good variety of food. Service was pretty good.
Sat for 20 minutes- no hi, no menus. Happened on multiple occasions. There were plenty staff there so I’m a bit confused. Food is typically consistent - Wish the service did the same. Hate leaving bad reviews.
Came if for a lunch in between classes and had the pleasure of being served by Leo. It was his first day and honestly if he didn’t say anything I would have thought he’s been serving for years. He is so friendly, funny, made great recommendations and always made me and my friend taken care of. He really has been one of the most pleasurable restaurants experiences I’ve had in a while all a credit to Leo. We will be back to see him!
Shoutout to Cole in the dining room for taking care of us and providing excellent service. Also was very happy to see the Fig Brie sandwich on the menu as it isn’t available at the downtown Earls.
Wonderful service and excellent food. We ordered chicken tacos with sweet potato fries, chicken wings and fries, crunchy chicken burger with fries. I didn't get a chance to take pictures as everyone dove I to their meal it was so delicious! LOL.
Service was good and the servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered 3 burgers. 1 was plant based. All were dry and over cooked. The fries were thin and over cooked as well.
Amazing friendly staff! We had the prime rib steak and I must say the best meal I've had in a long time! One little mistake (on myself). I forgot my take home box on table! Ahhh it was that good I complained to my son all the way home lol!
Patio is not in fact a patio but a sunroom! Food was ok, nothing like it used to be. Walked in to 4 people at the host stand just staring, luckily 1 spoke.
Of course I love Earls, who doesn't. But because of covid and we don't have one in our area this is the first time going into one in three years so the menu has changed somewhat. I would highly recommend their clam chowder and they're warm potato salad. Also had the crab cakes which were really good but found them to be it quite expensive.
The service was excellent my only con would be that the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talking.
The chicken hunan kung pao noodles were good. Generous portions. The fettuccine alfredo had no sauce, on both orders. And the fries with the chicken fingers were mostly burnt and crispy. We felt the quality wasn't great for the simple dishes we ordered. And nobody refilled our drinks. They just took the glass away when it was empty! So a bit pricey for the experience we had.
Came in for lunch with a big group, our server Cole was very helpful and assertive. I started with dynamite sushi which was fantastic. Burger was excellent. Beer was nice and cold. Great experience overall.
Typically this location is consistently good. I did have one experience though where my date and I both got food poisoning. It really was a fluke thing. The owner made it right though. Apologized profusely and gave us a gift card for the amount we spent. I appreciate that he took it so seriously
General comment on Earls not necessarily this location.
Been going to Earls for 30 years. Product Quality has really gone down hill in last year or two. Product is smaller and of lesser quality, especially the chicken breast. You are at risk of making a product so cheap no one will want to eat it.
Take out is hit and miss. Order fries at your own risk.
People are always top notch though. Earls is one of my favourite restaurants. Hope they get back to their previous product standards.
This location is super beautiful inside and the patio is lovely as well. The employees are all really well dressed and friendly. Food usually comes pretty quick as well even during busy weekend evenings. The menu is a little bit on the pricier side but the food is worth it nonetheless. Really great go-to dinner spot with friends over the summer!
Earls was nice place to visit and dine; it was a little busy despite covid. The food was great and the service was excellent; Cole was a really helpful and friendly waiter. For a more intimate setting, chose to dine at the restaurant but for a happy-go-lucky atmosphere, choose the lounge.
We had the worst experience at this resturant. We came here after a long evening and got served undercooked cajun salmon and gold green beans. When the Manager (SAM) or lack of came to our table, he argued with us and told us the Salmon was sushi grade and it was okay to eat cold and raw. The guy felt it was necessary to state his opinion on how a warm dish should be prepared. This guy is a joke to the industry. Never going back to this place or any earls for that matter.
Outstanding restaurant, fast service and friendly staff. Great environment! This restaurant has high integrity and respect for the community and Veterans Food Bank! Highly recommend this place
We had a lovely lunch at Earl's Restaurant in West Hills today. Our server was wonderful and the Better Burger was raved about by Hubby. I had a "hot" crispy chicken burger.flavors were wonderful. Great fries and gravy. We do not do this much anymore it was a nice change!
Oh for the good ol' days when chicken and brie sandwich had a full chicken breast on it and a nice amount of Brie. But the wheels of time just keep rolling
This is place has the best customer service in calgary. Nothing has ever gone wrong with my food over the 100+times i’ve attended this restaurant. Management, especially Sam, are incredible.unbelievably kind and welcoming. I saw a negative review for Sam and i can’t even begin to tell you what steaming pile of bullcrap that was. Sam is so incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. If you’re going to an earls in calgary, this is the one to go to.
Our service was perfect, our waitress was amazing, and our meal was delicious. Really appreciated how the location handled pandemic protocols comfortably.
I did not go to the restaurant and the manager was apologetic on the phone but I called to see if I could make brunch reservations and very disappointed to hear that not only do they NOT take reservations, they also do not offer the happy hour menu for brunch whereas at least 2 other locations in Calgary take reservations, offer the happy hour brunch menu and also open 30 min earlier than the Westhills location. With Covid if reservations aren’t accepted they should have the wait list Option at the very least. I thought all locations would be similar but apparently they seem to operate differently based on the location?
Okay food and experience even tho waiting staff seem to be going in 5 different directions and fail to deliver requests for limes and additional ketchup
Earls never disappoints - great service, decent menu, tasty food. Food quality is generally good, although some items could use a bit of an improvement (for example the combination of grease level and spice level in the cauliflower appetizer makes the food a bit too tense), but others are just amazingly done (clam chowder, ribs, chicken, power bowls.).
Gabby did a fantastic job of serving us. She was prompt, attention and friendly. She knew when to address us so that she wasn't unnecessarily interrupting our meeting (that is a huge pet peeve during lunch meetings).
The atrium area is quite airy and relaxing. It is perfect for those who don't want to be stuck inside, but also don't want the hot sun beating down on you.
The SantaFe Chicken Salad was done perfectly and so were the Dynamite Rolls. The food came out quickly and best of all my client was impressed and happy.
Thank you for the great service. It is good to know that I can count on this establishment when I meet a client for lunch.
Our waitress was Amy and she is great! Super friendly and attentive, very professional and excellent service. Enjoyed the food. Btw great beer recommendation!
The vegetables in the vegan dish weren't cooked, barely any sauce and there was no substance. The dynamite roll included shrimp that was burnt or deep fried like a piece of chicken, definitely hard on the stomach. I had a worse experience with Earls in Toronto a couple of years back but I decided to give it another shot since there were limited options at the time.never again
This location was pretty disappointing for whatever reason.
They literally forgot the Salmon that came with my girlfriend's dish. When we asked they brought it out. The service was very slow. We asked for straws 2 separate times and never got them. My burger was definitely overcooked too.
Our server was so kind and tentative but.did mess up getting the correct order to us and well it looked so good my boyfriend enjoyed it and didn’t bother complaining would you? It was the one with the sushi on it and he love it! I had the impossible burger with lettuce bun and it was very good. Four stars just cause he got the wrong dish as he wanted surf and turf but a surprise boo boo was just dandy!
Excellent service, and food. Staff was very attentive. Went with my wife and 2 kids. My only complaint was that my take out order was screwed up. Kind of took away from my experience that was otherwise positive.
We were a table of 5,3 ordered steak, 1 ordered the Cajun chicken and 1 ordered the fish.
All 3 steaks were the toughest steaks we've had in a restaurant. They were cooked correctly but the quality of the meat was horrible. No way it's AAA quality.
The Cajun chicken had heat but no flavor. Basically no seasoning but they just made it spicy to cover up the lack of any attempt at flavor.
No complaints about the fish, the mashed potatoes or the fries. The person at the door was friendly but the server was fake nice. She was polite but abrupt.
Overall, if I'm paying $40+ for steak, I would think I would be getting something better than stew meat. We didn't let the staff know because I hate bringing up issues to the server but it really bothered me the next day so here I am writing a review.
Won't go back and I advise you to avoid the place unless your only ordering potatoes.
Earls is a corporate store but i gotta say they run a totally professional operation. Had a Italia pizza which was piquante but quite tasty. Not sure why set it on some type of paper. If you eat pizza with a knife and fork u will eat some paper. Had a Rino seasonal brew which was bueno. Staff attentive and pro right from door to bartender to waitress.
Nice ambient. Avoid Kungpao Chicken, noodles are mushy after burning with hot sauces. Bland too. Burger is mediocre. Curry is just a huge thumbs down. Can't believe they still serve plastic teabags after all the microplastic pieces traced in tea. Would come back for some other food.
Really good blacken chicken, but they miss the one star cause that coleslaw sis.why did yall change it? It literally tastes like its drenched in vinegar.
I am considered a regular now as the staff recognize me. On entry you are offered lounge or dining. The tables are well spaced and staff are very particular regarding social distancing. You are encouraged to use an online menu but " real " ones are provided if requested. The service is efficient and the food is very good. A nice place to go. Prices are within most people's budget. Happy hour is 3 - 6 and a double GnT is only $8. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
Imagine my suprise when I get the bill for 1 pint of Bud light. BUD LIGHT and the bill is $11. $11 for a domestic pint? Unbelievable! Talk about ripping off your guests. Sorry Earl's.you've always been sub par but this has gone too far
Went for the first time in a while. I was pretty happy they changed the Alfredo noodles back to fettuccine (from Penne) -added a chicken breast and pan bread and had enough for lunch leftovers. Chili chicken and wontons always good, as well as the chicken wings and dynamite rolls. Clam chowder was a hit and their pumpkin pie was one of the best I have had! Friend ordered the avocado eggs Benny and said it was delicious too
Went here for breakfast had two bennies flavour was very off in the hollandaise sauce threw off our appetite. Ate one bite server didn't offer to comp or discount or meal brought back the bill with full charges even though we didn't eat our food. Not recommended. Even our server said "our hollandaise has a funny aftertaste" go to oeb if you want brunch.
I always order here from skip. The Cajun sandwich omgggggg. So good seriously. I dont know if yall upgraded and started only hiring BOMB SUPER GREAT CHEFS but your food is killing it. Its like when I take my first bite, I am there with you. Great medium mood lighting, breathtaking women and handsome young gentlemen. The bustle of people enjoying a magnificent meal at Earls. Nothing compares. Thank you.
Very tasty. The food was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I was extremely impressed at how flavorful the food was, it was like an explosion. I loved it. Would 10000% go again!:)
Not sure why this location doesn’t honour the brunch specials that the other Earls locations follow. Same menu, double the cost of all other locations? Is this necessary?
Unfortunately not a good experience. We were there for a late lunch on Friday, Valentine’s Day. My husband and two young daughters arrived first and were seated at a booth. I was handed the menu and our server, a young lady with dark hair pulled back disappeared. Waited a long time and finally ordered through the person delivering the food to my daughters. We wanted to order more items but she kept circling around and avoiding eye contact. At some point we inquired about the soup of the day and as soon as I turned to ask my daughter if she wanted it, she had quickly gone. Later, I had to call “excuse me! ” so my husband could place his order. This experience was so unexpected and unsettling. At some point it felt as if she was doing it on purpose. I had a tofu bowl which was good. We waited a long time and gave up on ordering dessert. When we were ready for the bill she was readily available to make small talk. What an awful experience. I was not going to post a review but we are red lobster today and are having an outstanding service. I hope someone gives this server some feedback.
Our burgers were dry and very chard. Service was non existent. $3.90 for a glass of pop which is 3/4 ice. $2 extra for garlic fries which do not taste at all like garlic and have barely any garlic. They are regular fries with garlic in bottom of bowl, definitely not worth extra charge. Horrible waste of money. Awful experience. Disappointing food/ drinks with a high cost. Waste of money.
There was an initial hiccup with my meal but the server and the manager were super quick to fix it. They were great about fixing it and the replacement meal arrived while my other diners were still eating. Proof that even when things aren't perfect, great service can make all the difference. Thanks Sarah and Jake.
Stopped into our go to restaurant Saturday night and it was surprisingly average. I know the place was busy so I knew the poor servers were running off their feet. They did screw up my friend's dinner, which is no big deal, but the floor manager came over and offered to do something for us and we said no, that we totally understand and it was her kind words that really didn't bother us for a screw up with our meals, what a asset to have such a kind young lady as a floor manager. Service wasn't what we usually get when visiting Earls, but again everyone has off nights.
An item was missed on our delivery order and unfortunately we still have to pay and wait another 37 minutes for it to arrive. Positive experiences dining in, but wont be ordering through a courier again.
I just called to place an order for pickup and I was put on hold for 12 minutes so I decided to hang up, it's a little ridiculous to wait that long to place an order for pickup. Eating elsewhere tonight! Thanks guys!
My husband's meal came out incorrectly but the server (Sarah) apologized and took full responsibility for the mix up. This alone made for great service and we appreciated that she put a rush on the kitchen to replace it with the proper dish. The experience only got better from there as the manager (Jake) came over also to apologize and took care of the meal even though we were super easy going about the mix up. Food was delicious, drinks were great and the service was above and beyond. Will definitely be back again!
