Came in for happy hour wasn’t busy, sat in the lounge and there was 1 server who we saw sitting at a table on the other side of the restaurant with her friends, while we’re sitting without water, food came out cold, poor service was clear there was no management present as the server seemed like she didn’t even work there. Will not be coming back to this location.
Food was okay and shrinking portions. Ordered a burger. I think there are better and cheaper options for a lounge burger in the area. Service was quick
We got a reservation here on a Monday and we got seated right away. The waiting time for the foods were pretty fast so it was great since we didn't have to wait too long. The foods were delicious too and the servers were really nice. The ambiance of the place was great aswell, my wife really loved it. I really recommend this place for everyone to try especially for those who haven't yet already.
My fiancée and I had Danielle as our server, she was extremely friendly and attentive for us making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for your awesome service Danielle
The service was excellent, drinks were phenomenal! The only issue I had was the crab cakes. I ordered the entré crab cake dish, my friend ordered the Appy. Hers came out first naturally. It was SO good! I was excited for mine! Then mine came out. Cold, mushy in the middle and 100% not cooked. Sooo disappointing! The waiter came back around to check in and I addressed the issue with him, he as well as the manager apologized, and said they wish bring me new, fully cooked ones. However, by the time I got them, everyone was done eating and I had to ask for them to go. So I couldn't even enjoy them fresh anyway. Then I still got charged full price. Disappointing end to a great start.
Staff are great. Food is delicious. Was seated immediately. Starters and then food all well timed and prepared perfectly. Probably the best Earls I've ever been too. I would recommend to anyone looking for new favorite restaurant. Bathroom and dinning room were clean with clean utensils.
Neat place. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very attentive to our needs. Don’t forget to check their Daily Rituals. We had “ On Wednesday We Eat Steak” We had 9 oz sirloin for $24. Such a great deal and the best part was the food tasted good. I would definitely recommend this place.
This here is the spot to be. And, let me not talk about Sam.she was great. The manager on duty was great and make us feel welcome. The food, the service, and drinks was all great. It's been along time since I could actually said I enjoy dinning out. And yes, we will be back and thanks for being wonderful two starving chicks. And thanks again Sam, you rock girl. Thanks again.
Had the Margherita Pizza, spinach dip, buffalo cauliflower, 6 oz sirloin and rib and chicken between the 5 of us. First off service was slow, took about 15 to 20 minutes to get our drinks, alcoholic beverages. One was a special request which was misunderstood and the guy literally put a gross corona bottle into the drink upside down. The look was cool but amazingly unsanitary, we didn't complain as it was a misunderstanding but logic and hygiene should have never allowed that at an establishment like this. We were done our drinks 5 minutes before we were asked for our food orders, so roughly now sitting for 35 minutes without having asked our food orders. The two pizzas were a nasty burnt flavour with very child like presentation and taste both were totally different from eachother, one had cheese and a green onion possible topping, the other lacked cheese and was without said topping. The pricey 6 oz sirloin clearly shrank to a 4 bite steak and only offered with a side of mashed potatoes. The spinache dip was shallow and bread was kinda wedged between their side of the basket and the bowl plate, which again unsanitary and awful portion for the price also lacking any cheese. The cauliflower buffalo was exceptional and without holdback on the need for side sauce and other veggies, as a first timer I would get this again. Also as expected the chicken and ribs were flawless and served with a large portion of fries. In all, the place was very bad in service but it was maybe busy for a Tuesday. I saw about 50 people which really shouldn't be that hard for their amount of staff. The food that I use to adore from the earls chain was very poor, and their prices jumped a bit. The selection was kind of odd and made it really hard to make a choice I would want to have, as it was kind of all over the place with too much variety. However they do have the best chicken and ribs I've ever had from any other restaurant. Would I come back? Probably not, unless I just wanted their ribs.
This Earl’s has very polite staff! The downside was the food took a long time to get to our table. Maybe it was just that certain time of day. Overall, the food was good. Consistent to all the Earl’s I have been to
My server Paul was professional, repeat the order to make sure of everything.food was exactly the way I wanted. I will for sure return.atmosphere was nice and relax.except for one fly that was bogging me once in a while (I think he was jealous of my meal.lol!)
Amazing experience! We came here for brunch and had a few allergies in the group. There was a brief mishap and the kitchen was overly apologetic and covered the meals and drinks of the table. The wait staff was patient and understanding, overall one of the best dining experiences I've had this year.
Good location for business lunch. A bit more expensive than others in area. Food was okay, but not the best dining experience. Good and attentive staff, but lacking a lot of details. Not the best value for a family dining experience though.
It was very good, will come back for sure. Couldn't resist to take a bite before taking a picture into the desert. We liked our waitress Tatum taste has she advised us on the change we could do for a lite diner. N. B. We got in time to order for the Happy Hours! Not expensive.
I came for a happy hour drink with a buddy and we were waited on by Autumn, who was very welcoming and pleasant. Drinks were well priced and generous for happy hour and we both enjoyed our time in no small part due to the great service!
As far as the service goes, I had no complaints. Our server took good care of us and was very polite. My problem was with the food. The pasta was so dry, it was almost inedible, asking for sauce didnt make it much better. The steak was good as far as the texture goes, was cooked rare how I enjoy it. But my goodness, its like they emptied out their salt shakers on one piece. Way too salty, no other flavors whatsoever. The calamari wasnt even all calamari. And the salmon zen bowl was just a mess. No flavors anywhere near our table. Surprised how anyone can eat here and call it food.
Has been a staple for takeout lately. Great service and food. Only one little hiccup on a burger recently but otherwise great. The compostable containers are a nice touch too. All restaurants should have this. [Update] Manager reached out and dealt with the hiccup. Add great customer service to the list. Back to 5stars.
McKara, our server, did an excellent job, making us feel welcome and at home during our enjoyable Father's Day dinner. Thank you for the top-notch service and for taking the time to ensure our visit to Earls was AMAZING!
Stopped in today for a celebratory happy hour beer! Great prices with an even better atmosphere. Liam was our bartender and was an excellent host during our stay.
Good service and Food is very nice. Nice atmosphere very friendly place to go to. Definitely go and get in there again This was my second trip. And a free cheesecake for the birthday boy which I enjoyed very much! Prices are very reasonable for good quality food. I definitely recommend this place to friends.
The staff are very friendly and we were seated very quickly despite covid restrictions. It's sad that these restaurants have to put up with the fact that somebody "can't catch coronavirus" when they're sitting at their table without their mask on but somehow they can when they're walking from the front door to their table? Total absurdity, but the food and staff are wonderful.
Lauren at 16th was an outstanding server! She was very attentive to our table and even though it was busy she made sure everything was proper with our order.
Earls is always a great stop to make for lunch, Really digging the new Atomic Modern furniture they got up in there, Consistent quality of Food no matter where in Canada you're at, Service is always on point, but Whiskey Sour needs some refining. Great to be able to dine in again!
Ordered a Hunan chicken meal kit for two which I have done a few times as it is a solid value and delicious. Unfortunately this time we were missing some of the ingredients when we ordered on dec 27th but the issue was quickly rectified with impressive customer service. Thanks again Olivia for going above and beyond! We won’t hesitate to order again in the near future.
So disappointed in earls on 16th we ordered from skip the dishes tonight the lobster ravioli was pretty ok, but the Cajun chicken which is my favourite was gross, the potato salad was awful the potatoes were hard under cooked and grey like in completion like they had been cooked and then stored uncovered in a fridge for a long time. The toffee cake was delivered cold and not fresh and we were given like a dribble of caramel. Really disappointed
A BIG thank you to the staff that was working today (Dec 24th) - starting with the lady in-charge (sorry, don't know her name) and then the kitchen staff for being accommodating and giving me a turkey dinner. I thank you all for being kind. Love your food and hospitality.
Update: 11/23/2020 Things have definitely gone down hill from 2 years ago. The salmon dinner was over peppered with dry rice. The chicken and ribs sides of coleslaw (very little dressing) and potato salad (raw bites of potato) were disappointing. On the bright side the salmon, chicken and ribs were perfectly cooked. I had a Corona beer and was charged $8.00 which is 4 times higher then what I pay at the liquor store. Of course while the quality and preparation of the food has gone down, the prices have gone up substantially. It doesn't seem like Earls on 16th ave really needs our support, especially by giving folks a food experience that isn't even as good as one that can be had at home. So this time around we rated our experience a solid 3 and wouldn't recommend Earls on 16th to our friends and family. Cheers
My father and I come here once a month and he loves the ribs says there the best in town and he's a former VP of a prominent Oil company so he's very well traveled
They've done a great job to keep up with all the new restrictions that were set out. Well spaces out tables, contactless menus, and even linking the menu to what you ordered so you can pay your bill online! Also, I ordered the beyond meat burger and it was amazing, couldn't even tell that it wasn't actual meat unlike other restaurants where you can taste the artificialneaa - I'll definitely be having it again from there, hopefully in person again soon!
