Cozy store with high end/high quality bath/body products… the Jack59 bars are SO GOOD! I have Vitality and smells soooo fresh. Also had brown rice syrup which is a tough find. The vegan options here are stupendous!

We need more options like this throughout the city. I'm able to bulk buy for all my food needs here. I like how I don't have to do all three product research and that I'm not bombarded with things I do not want to eat. The only thing I buy somewhere else is soap, conditioner, and shampoo ingredients for making my own body products.

Still unparalleled in Edmonton. The only thing I miss there is a convenient substitute for plastic shopping bags. There are less cozy places that offer a bit thicker paper bag for a few pennies. Cos sometimes we forget to bring along our, or just dropping in while doing an unplanned trip, and don't wanna buy a pro+ bag each time, right?

Awesome local store for organic, vegan products, lots of great gluten free options as well. Great customer service as well if you have any questions. Got some great recipe suggestions as well from one of the associates. I’ve been back numerous times and had nothing but great service. Always have what I need in stock, and if they don’t they tell me where I can find it.
They also have a garden where they grow their own stuff, they don’t waste anything, well run business.

A bulk barn-like store that has better quality items and more allergen friendly items as well! Whatever you can't find at Blush Lane or a Farmer's Market, you'll find here!

I love to go here to pick up any specialty items, restock on bar soaps, and buy organic items in bulk. I also bought a couple stackable bento boxes that I used for a picnic and I got lots of compliments on them!

Excellent local gem in Ritchie run by people who really care. Good selection of vegetarian, vegan and health products and bulk refills.

I love Earths general store. Every time I go in, I am greeted with warmth and kindness. I could get lost in this store for a very long time, they carry so many unique items that you can’t find elsewhere. Highly recommend.

Lovely store, wonderful staff, but the most impressive thing about Earth's is how they're so determined to do good in the community - somehow they still have the energy to provide for the less fortunate and fight for a healthier way of life. Support them as much as you can.

Earth’s has always been fantastic. I love how they’re dedicated to reducing food waste by offering free products that are about to expire, and I appreciate their decision to extend masking to protect vulnerable shoppers. They care deeply for others and the environment, and it shows!

Fantastic local shop. Friendly owner and staff. You can limit or eliminate personal packaging waste by bringing in your own jars to fill with a wide selection of products. It’s a bit of a trip for me to shop in Ritchie, but when I do, I always come here and find goodies, and love the experience.

I can't say enough good things about this place! They have excellent selection, the bulk refills are an easy process, AND as an immunocompromised person it is one of the few places I feel safe and can actually enjoy my grocery shopping.

Very poor experience there. Was stereotyped there because I would not confirmed to there rule of wearing a mask. I am double Vax and rather not wear a mask due to breathing issues. But was escorted out of the store because I told them no I would not wear a mask. Store policy or not it's un fair to not allow someone to do their shopping. I will boycott there store and will let everyone know about my experience there.

EGS is the best darned grocery store in Edmonton (and I’d argue, Alberta). Excellent selection of organic, fair trade, waste free, socially conscious, and bulk products. I trust that when I buy something here, they have done the best they can to ensure it will have the lightest footprint on the planet, the people producing it, and my health.

Great selection of bulk food and beauty products. Convenient location on whyte ave near Mill Creek. I just wish they would carry Bles Wold dairy products.

Earths is our main source for household needs and all our groceries. The mindful and kind owner, the personable employees, the commitment to ethics supporting the earth and people, zero waste and local options, great quality food, and GF and veg options are all reasons why Earths is OUR grocer.

This place is the best of what Edmonton has to offer. They put their money where their mouth is. Excellent selection & prices PLUS they have integrity, generosity and they truly care about our community and the most vulnerable among us. As much as I try to make a difference, they actually are. Earth’s general store is a favourite neighbourhood corner shop with all the pluses you can think of!

I don’t shop here regularly, but when I do I’ve always felt very welcomed, safe, and sound of mind. I recommend everyone who cares about the planet to shop here:)

My family and I really love Earth’s general store. If you care about people, animals, plants, earth, about Justice, love, caring for others, make Edmonton better (and not even talking about how the products make a better earth), this is your store. Products are not overpriced and are accessible for any budget! The owner with kindness and examples I believe is teaching us edmontonians how to prioritize environment before consuming (for example, he was one of the first stores giving away handmade bags or offering card boxes for groceries, bringing up all kind of products by the bulk so you learn to use what you need…. The “ugly” produce wich is organic and fine get sales reduced and get to be used!). He also puts people before money (I believe his employees get fair wages and benefits, he is kind enough to ask his customers to keep using mask so the store is really accessible to all - including for those that Covid can be threatening or have an immune system that is compromised). Finally, as a mom, you get those nice candies and chocolates that are little better for munchies. Keep going EGS!

My favorite natural grocery store in the city! They really care about people and the planet and put their money where their mouth is. I appreciate so much that they’ve followed the science during the pandemic and required masks I make sure to thank the employees for wearing and requiring them every time I visit!

This store is a gem in our city. They bring in such wonderful products that I can find anywhere else. My kids absolutely adore this place. In the summer we walk there to grab ice cream bars. A box of 4 is perfect for our family of four.

Earth's General Store is a friendly welcoming store with an excellent range of goods. Their produce section is especially good and they carry a wide range of vegetarian options.

Love earths general! It’s a wonderful place to explore with great owner and staff and products - there are refill stations so you can reuse bottles and containers from home and lots of other ways to buy items with much less packaging. It is a regular stop for me and my family and they are always willing to help try and find what you are looking for.

I hadn't gone here in a while because it's relatively inconvenient for me to go to, but I always had a good experience when I had gone there. When I went there last week, I came with two routine deodorant jars to be refilled.

The staff were extremely condescending and rude to me because the jars had deodorant residue in them (something that has never been an issue before when I've had them refilled), and mansplained cross contamination to me (thanks, I know, and it's literally deodorant, not blood and bodily fluids) and made we wash them out a specific way before they would refill them.

Hope it was worth it, because I'm never going back here after being talked to like that.

LOVE this store, been shopping here for years for all sorts of things you just can't find at other grocery stores. Their vitamin selection is super on point, as well as their natural and organic products, ranging from food to bodily care products. And tbh, this has to be one of the few stores I've been to where each and every time the staff is incredibly kind anf helpful. Give this place a shot if you haven't already, guarantee you'll end up buying something you didn't know you actually needed and will keep coming back for more

Absolutely outrages! The service was very racist towards me and my family.as soon as we entered the store the chaser has left her station and started to follow us around the store keeping her distance pretending to organize the shelves.every time i looked what she was doing she would quickly look away as if she was keeping a eye on us! She would follow us from aisle to aisle. Having a Black Lives Matter flag in your store doesn't mean this gives you a free pass to still be racist smh, and as someone who has previously organized many protests to fight this oppressions I feel deeply disappointment!

I stumbled across this place when I was cold and tired of waiting for the bus. I crossed the road looking for refuge from the rain when I discovered more then just a warm place. I found my new healthy food store!
The ambiance was calming and welcoming. Customer service was quick and kind to help also. Many of the items in store were more than 80 % Canadian made or manufactured in Canada, which is something I am always looking to invest in and or tell others about. Any questions or concerns on an item someone was quick to respond with product knowledge. I found this to be refreshing and non intimidating as so many new customers to healthy food stores feel. My favorite isle was the homemade soaps isle.
I found the body soaps to be unbelievably well priced and very impressive as well. I probably bought 8 different soaps for roughly 2$ per bar. They have quite the aray to choose from and you will not be disappointed in quality. I am looking forward to return here and buy some more B. C.apples and other produce that blew my taste buds away as well.

If you have a medical condition and can't wear a mask they choose to discriminate against you instead of being understanding and inclusive. Spend your money at a business that is a reflection of your values - understanding and inclusive.

Edmonton is blessed to have a local grocer like Earth's.the quality and pricing of produce and bulk items is unequalled.a food geeks paradise.

Loved that they have a fridge outside the store that has a sign "free food" fir those in need. I think every store should have these! Especially the big box stores that have a delivery, as I know that after every shift, they throw all the unsold food out instead of donating it to the less fortunate

Great vegan food and household items. Always friendly and helpful, they put some items aside for me which was great as I was travelling in from out of town.

The last time I was here I didn't enjoy the visit. This time, there was a great staff who was bubbly and bright. She hopped off the cash and immediately gave me 3 ideas for a great chocolate. Her exuberance was such that I had her favourite product in my hand ready to buy before I knew it. I love going in and getting out of any store, and she made an exploratory trip into a surgical strike. In, out, extremely grateful and happy. This was a fantastic trip.

I went I asked they had I paid I left.i should have browsed the store a bit but I'm goal oriented.lol but from what I saw and felt was pretty awe inspiribg actually.i walked in got a warm greeting. Asking for my desires.got pointed in right direction purchased.and as I looked around I was amazed at how compact yet super organized.cleaned.displays prices were amazing.its my kind of store! It's all about the choices we should all be making.all reflecting on how much abuse we put on this planet.and ways to alleviate.yes I'm a "bleeding heart" as I was referred in the oilfield.but at least I have a heart.just like this store captured mine.i do care about my/ our planet.and truly wish we all would.especially the shameful world powers that be.i could give you my opinion on THEM.but we all know! We should all act on it!

I wish they had better coffee and didn't rely on "fair trade" when sourcing. Not good enough sorry.

I'm talking about people buying only high volume coffees that only pay a pittance above market prices and patting themselves on the back. Being and staying a step above "Timmys" does not push Tim Hortons or Starbucks to be better partners with the world's poor.

Be better. Don't rely on diluted certificates.

I no longer live in Edmonton but any time I come to town I always make a point to stop in at EGS. They have anything you could ever want when it comes to natural foods and goods. And I love perusing the new items when I stop in. Such a great local establishment!

I love shopping here. I love finding locally made, friendly for the planet, healthy for my body options. I always walk out of that store feeling like I made a good decision.

I absolutely LOVE Earth's General Store! I love what they stand for, their products and the prices Have been shopping here for nearly 15 years now. This place is a gift to the community. You can tell how passionate Michael (the owner) and the employees are about social justice and environmental stewardship, which lines up with my own values so I always feel great shopping there!

I have been shopping at EGS since 2006. What I love about the store is that I can trust that all the products have been hand-picked for sustainability, ethical production and quality. Sourcing locally is also a focus. Great products, staff, and community! Kid-friendly, neighbourhood vibes! I love EGS!

Nice little organic and alternative grocery store. The staff were also very friendly and able to offer some baking advice for some recipes I was planning on trying. I would definitely go back more often if I lived closer.
