The Flo Rider has literally gone down only 6 hours a week which is sad cuz I used to ride at 6 hours Saturday. It's alone but other than that the facilities are nice shape. They're keeping the staff young. I guess you could say and the place is pretty clean
The monthly membership allows unlimited access to all facilities and my most favorite to access is the swimming pool.
I do wish the Flo Wave Rider was open more hours because I've only been there once while it was open and only watched as I was too scared to try it but now I want to try it and it's never open when I'm there.
The slides are especially fun tho especially the tube slide.
It's the only true rec.centre in Grande Prairie. Definitely, it's the only indoor pool. It has everything, but is joined to a high school and many students roam the halls with little to no supervision. That issue really needs attention.
I’ve been waiting on hold for over one hour and 30 minutes. When I was transferred to the “retention” team, never expected this kind of retention. Worst internet service I’ve had, speaking after living in 3 different countries and several providers. The worst of the worst service
For 6 dollars sharp you get a gym, a sports fieldhouse with every thing you need from goalie pads to footballs, a watermark, private rental rooms, it's pretty fun
I’ve have been getting messages from family and from friends that the female workers are gossiping about me behind my back to them. Very unprofessional and rude to single out someone and talk about them to multiple people. Disgusted and am debating on switch to a different gym cause I do not believe any woman should have to put up with this high school gossip. I don’t even know the woman and yet they still talk about me.
The shallow water aerobics is held in the 25 meter pool. The 25 meter pool is where all the swimming lessons are. That pool is always closed due to contaminants. Fecal matter. It takes about a week to get the pool up and going again. So those that want to do the shallow water aerobics miss out. That's not right. When this happens they opt to have the water aerobics in the lazy river. The lazy river is way too congested for the amount of people in the water aerobics class, there are also other patrons in there making it more congested. The water level is not deep enough. Also the current is not conducive to water aerobics. If I wanted to do the lazy river class that's the one I'd go to. It is not. This time the 25 meter pool is closed until April 16 for maintenance. Do we get compensation? No. Some part of the facility is always closed. Too bad there is not another pool to go to. What a joke.
I'm a hyooooge fan. Staff are friendly and helpful, everything is kept tidy and clean and they have everything I need for weightlifting and swimming. I'm even thinking of getting back into squash here
Great place for some family/solo fun. Fair prices on their monthly memberships. The swimming pool is fantastic. We enjoyed just walking around the place. I asked about accessibility for storing of walkers while using the pool and they seemed very accommodating. They mentioned storing it behind the front desk to prevent stealing.
Great facility. Loss of one star for how generally noisy it is. When built, no sound baffling was installed. For those sensitive to it, ambient noise is quite prevalent.
It's good overall but could be more accessible. There's no adult change tables for people with disabilities and the front door button isn't a button. You wave your hand to open the door. Which isn't great for people with limited hand control.
