EB Games

Called in to see availability on a console that they said they have. Arrived at the store and claimed they didn’t have it even though they told me an hour earlier on the phone that they did. No explanation was given.

Had the worst early game release experience ever. The manager took the first approx 20 people from the line to his till and took 20 mins serving the first customer, then the next customer forgot to grab the free keychain and the manager left the till for another 5 mins to go outside and trying to find him meanwhile now all us people that were the first in line are watching the other lady working on till checking out the end of the line while we are still waiting.took us 40 mins to get the game we prepaid for and waited in line for almost 2 hours to get. The service was slow and line got unfairly divided.

Customer service was excellent and answered all my questions.

The remote that I bought won't connect to my ps4 so I'll probably have to bring it back in but overall satisfied with game stop

The manger refused to give me a refund or even to exchange the toy I bought for my son. I WILL NOT COME BACK.

The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful with my purchase, they answered all my questions. Location is perfect for me, the store is clean and well organized, they have a perfect variety of games, consoles, and products.

Went to the midnight release for Pokemon S/V, arrived 10 minutes early at 11: 50, and they were locking up. Whats the point of calling me to let me know that there's a midnight release if you're going to close up shop before you're supposed to be open?

If you are a parent, it is a wallet draining experience. Staff was friendly store was organized, but makes kids act like lunatics.

Absolutely the best GameStop location in the entire city. The management is super helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help you as best as they can.

I went in here yesterday looking for a Diceling that my step son has wanted so badly since just before Christmas. I was blown away by how helpful the staff were! Excellent customer service! They looked in the computer to see what store might have one, then called to confirm and got the other store to hold it for me.

The exclusive are fun sometimes and generally the staff are good but I don't think I'll be buying pokemon cards from GameStop anymore. They sell booster boxes for $60 more than their competitors, absolute rip off.

Great location when Norman is there. The other female workers there, some of them when I go in they are on their phones, don't pay attention to customers or are just talking and not really doing their jobs and just stand behind the counter. Norman is very nice and out going, great person to deal with.

They have games on the wall that they only sell to those who preordered. Which would be fine if there was any clarification. Today I sat in a line for almost an hour and a half just to be told. “Sorry, you should’ve pre ordered it” Sure wish I knew that before standing in line for so long at least the staff was understanding of my dissatisfaction.

I asked about pre orders for the new systems and the employee replied with some half witted response that left me feeling dumb because I wasn’t at the “midnight release”. His response included “people were hanging out for the midnight release to preorder” in a cold tone.

Some people work night shifts, and in my case I was in the middle of moving from another city. I would encourage others to consider other locations or other businesses since the staff here cannot treat potential customers the right way. I feel like there could have been better ways the employee could have handled it. But how would I know? It’s not like I’ve worked in retail for 6 years

Always helpful especially if the game you're looking for isn't in they have no issues looking it up in their system and finding it at another store sometimes they even phone the store to hold it for you too. Way to go above and beyond:)

The Clareview EB Games store is well organized and very clean. Even though they were sold out of the game I wanted the staff did recommend similar games and I came away with a gift card for a game instead. The staff were polite and kept an eye on the door, following Covid rules regarding masks and the number of people allowed inside at one time. I would recommend this store for those who have a gaming interest and want knowledgeable assistance.

Nice staff. Selection of games is good. Selection of controllers not so good, but still a nice place!

Extremely rude and condescending to customers who are unable to wear a mask for health reasons. Openly mocked. The 2 staff members were blatantly shaming and talking about me for the duration of my visit. They clearly had no sense of how to be professional at their place of work. I am utterly disgusted by the entire experience.

People with breathing issues dont go here. Very rude. EB Games will never see my business again.

Always a great experience here! They usually have what I'm looking for besides the one time I went there and they didn't have PES 20 for xbox

The staff are fantastic, very helpful. New favourite stop for birthday gifts. They were so great helping my son pick out a new controller, definitely better than ordering from Amazon.

Went in to trade in some older titles to put towards a Pre-Order.
Was promptly greeted & received excellent customer service from Miranda & the rest of the staff. The location was very well kept, with effective safety measures in place.

The staff were super helpful and nice, will definitely be going back, they really went the extra mile to help me find what I was looking for.

Not sure if it's a common practice to shut down the store for about an hour in the middle of the work day but coming just after 4pm to see a sign saying that nobody will be there until 5pm was disappointing to say the least.

Having worked in retail for years, if you can't find a replacement then you can't take your break (or whatever it was you were doing).

I think management owes myself and everyone else with money ready to spend an apology.

Everytime I have visited this store either with a gamer or to purchase a gift the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

My boys love going to the clareview location, and they staff there treat them so well. They're always so helpful, and have never made us feel unwelcome. It's one of our favourite stores to go to.:)

This is my son's all time favorite place to go. They have video games you may not get any where else and they are a Canadian company which is always a bonus.

Great staff, nice store. The new shelving and arrangement really makes things easy to find. They always do their best to help you and if they for some reason they can't, they don't hesitate to refer you to another store that can.
When I have the time, I love to just go in and browse for gift ideas.

First of all, AMAZING customer service. This is the second time I have tried to find a game that wasn't available anywhere else in Edmonton, and both times this EB Games location held what I was looking for.
(Realizing now I can get the game online, so I don't need to go in anymore, though when I thought all was lost, they accommodated me perfectly.)
So friendly, and wonderful to deal with. I wish every staff at this location a very Merry Christmas!

Happy wheels game is amazing compared to some of the games I have played at 615 Ellis St, San Francisco, CA 94109

This location had the Back To The Future watch I been looking for and a giant collection of leftover ps3 games. The staff had time to speak to people and it was more organized than many other locations.

I purchased two Roblox gift cards for my children and neither one of it worked $50 down the drain on the page

My son loves this store they always make time for him and his questions prices are really good really nice store

I always enjoy going to be Games. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the product (for the most part). If not knowledgeable, enthusiastic for what they do. I'll continue to support them as long this quality service finest end.

Membership was a good deal, used games are cheaper with better return policy. Good info given by the store clerk regarding benefits of being a platinum edge member. My firs time to buy from them, well see how it goes.

They always have or can get what I want. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Knowledgeable about products and dedicated to stay open even in crappy weather for customers. My favourite place to shop for all things video game.

Get things in writing from them and if you pre-order and you yourself arnt picking it up make sure they put it in the notes whomever else can, like legit ask to see the notes!

Last time I was here i was looking for a specific game, and the staff knew exactly where I should go, even though it wasn't an eb games store.

Evil corporation that ruins gaming, but the staff are great. Only ever buy used games from here if it is hard to find.

Seemed more interested in themselves then who was coming in. And the store has a lack of organization.

I've been going to this specific store for more than a decade now, and I have never once been disatisfied with the quality of customer service. I love the friendly staff that are always willing to assist me in order to get what I want, or will refer me to games I may like in my favorite genres.

It's rare to see such passion in the retail industry. It's too bad that I now live out of town. I still come into town to preorder items from this location every once in a while.

I wish all the staff the best in there future endeavors whether or not they plan to continue working at EB games. I recommend anyone who is into video games to visit this location. You will not be disappointed.
