The best GameStop in Calgary. Very friendly, understanding, lovely, and patient staff! Great customer service, awesome games, the list goes on! Definitely recommend coming here!
Went to CrossIron location for help and was told there was no way to get this new switch game world of horror if I had not pre ordered it. Called here and within 3 minutes the game was found and put aside for me to pick up. Really appreciated during the busy holiday season.
Worst gamestop location ever! Pink haired Manager behind the desk has horrible customer service and needs to be fired asap! I can see why nobody comes here, get rid of pink hair harassing paying customers and you might get some business!
Staff here are not friendly at all. As my kids were trying to decide on their games the lady working the tills snapped at my 2 year old for bumping into the cash desk. Why would you work at a place that sells toys and video games if you don't even like or have the patience for children? We left and spent our money elsewhere. Maybe don't yell at babies and you'd make more money.
I was quite disappointed with the market mall branch of gamestop. I needed to buy a specific game for my nephew for his birthday and i called an hour before and told them that i WILL come right at close which is 9PM to buy the game as I was travelling from deep South of Calgary. I even tried calling 10 mins before reaching just to give them a heads-up that i will reach right at 9pm but the phone lines magically weren’t taking calls and when i was at the door, it was 9PM and they closed the shutters. The worst part is, the guy did not even want to come at the door to have a conversation with me. I kept telling him that i cannot hear you but he never bothered and basically said or rather what i assume he said, i can’t help you. I have worked retail and guess what when something like that happens in say Best Buy or so, they go above and beyond to help. But thanks for this experience, speaks volumes about a company and it’s people.
I wanted to become a member with you guys but not anymore. I bought a PS 4 for my nephew and he loves Naruto. I put the Ninja Storm 4 on hold to gift him.
If you check your cameras and call log for 16th November 2022 at 9PM, you will see what i am talking about. Honestly, the worst part was the guy not bothering to come to the door to talk and hear me out at least.
Final update. The store finally got me a working ps5 just took over a month. They sent a new one instead of a used one. I am not sure if they didn't have faith in the 3rd used one or what, but they tried to make me pay for the difference even after I spoke to the district manager and told him I wanted a used one and would not pay the difference for a new one. I just wanted what I paid for.
The store did give it without the difference of cost. The store staff were absolutely amazing through all this and the only reason I waited instead of getting a refund. The staff were always helpful and tried to solve the problem as quick as possible.
Still at the end of the day a really bad experience. I just wanted to get a 13 year old a birthday present and it ended up being month late. I would recommend going to another store for your gaming needs.
1 month and still no working ps5.
I have bought a ps5 used on the 16th of August. The console was overheating and I called in on the 18th of August. The replacement came in on the 6th of September. I get home and the disk reader on the replacement is not working. I don't know if they don't test the product before they resell it. It's unbelievable how poor this experience has been.
GameStop has been and will always be my favorite store in the mall. I might be biased because I've been going to this particular store for over 10 years but the staff are extremely friendly and overall it's a great experience
To the moon Okay, serious, if you want to buy console games, you should consider getting the premium membership. You can exchange an opened game within 7 days if it is not satisfactory. Nothing beats that.
Great! Was extremely helping in pre-ordering me an item, even though they said it had been some time since they did it last. They figured it out quickly!
Went today to buy some switch controller i get a nice service to the lady that working there but the fat guy wearing glasses that working there is kinda rude to me and im just asking if they selling ps5.
Market Mall is a horrible EB Games I recommend Northland Mall because they actually do their job and they're super nice over there Mark and mole is a horrible horrible EB Games I wish I'd never gave a star but I had to to make this complaint
Went in today to purchase DBZ xenoverse 2 for the Nintendo Switch and I was immediately greeted by Claire who was very quick to help me find what I was looking for. Then during the transaction she was very nice to make conversation with my 5 year old son about the pokemon cards that he was purchasing.
The staff are very friendly and always helpful, way better than the ones in the past years.
Once I bought a game on my lunch break, the employee realized he had forgotten to give me a game code for a chest, I had mentioned I worked in the mall and he actually delivered the code in person to my work which was really amazing.
The only downside is the selection can be limited and they sell out really fast, but that isn't something the employees can control.
I went in to buy an Xbox one s (bundled with a game) with money I worked hard to save up and was sold the console from right off the display because the cashier was too lazy to go to the back and get one from there. Once I got home I realized that the box had obviously been opened and had damages underneath the cover. The system was supposed to come with a download code for the game and a free month of Game-pass Ultimate but instead I got two game pass codes without the game (Star Wars Jedi fallen order) so I decided to call the store and ask about the code and the person who answered was my same cashier who was extremely rude and refused to help me. I decided to go back to the store and exchange it for hopefully one that was properly sealed. When I got to the store I got a different cashier and everything went fine but I would definitely NOT recommend anyone go to this store and go to another even if it’s and extra 15 mins. Another thing to point out it’s that they are constantly under staffed and the staff have constantly been rude except for a few moments.
Very good place to get games or anything related to games, things are always on sale and it is a very fun place to go just to see all of the various pop culture related things
One of the bigger EB stores in the city, they carry a LOT of geek-friendly items. Catch the sales for great deals, and try this store for hot merchandise- since its a flagship store, they often get more stock than other locations.
I did like this store my grandson convinced me to go in this store and i had a better time than expected i bought my first video game (the one in picture) and i am thorogly enjoyed it so thank you to my grandson and to the owner of this store the only reason i have take a star is because the cute cashier woman refused to go on a date with me or even take my phone number (i dont usually take no for an answer) but i bet she would just try and take my money anyways.dale like
Only one staff working. Come on management, give your staff and customers a break. We gave up and walked out. We might still be standing there waiting for service hadn't we left. Avoid if you can. Suffer if you must.
The tall guy was laughing at me with the girl because i asked if one of the game was on android phones. WOW what a customer care. I planned to buy 20pcs to take them back home but i left them. Criticism is not okay for customers.
Very good service, staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I much appreciated all their assistance leading upto and on Black Friday. In a digital era we suffer from online sales deterring the economy from important businesses. I will support them (physical EB stores) as long as I can.
One of the seller at this store wasn't good. He gave me a wrong information about warranty of a console. He didn't reward my Edge Account, so, no points for my purchase and now I have to deal with customer service to fix this problem. Finally, I received an email to inform me that my pick-up order was cancelled despite I bought one day ago my console. I don't recommend this branch.
HORRIBLE AND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went there to buy a console and after 10 minutes trying to make eye contact with any of the three staff members (who were making a great effort to avoid me), I finally asked one guy about the particular console that I was looking for and he just turned around and in a very rude way told me they did not have it; making me feel like I was bothering him with a dumb question. If I am going to spend over $500 at a store, I would at least expect to be treated as a customer, not as trash.
Cameron at the counter made a very inappropriate comment to my girlfriend when I turned my back to take a stuffy off the shelf saying "oh look he's grabbing it by the d**k". Made me extremely angry when we left the store because she felt uncomfortable to tell me in the store. I wanted to go back to tell him but I figured I'd let everyone know.
I put a used xbox 360 game on hold and drove a long distance to get the game. But the game didnt have the cover and the case. The disk was scratched. They should at least provide a proper case for their used items. There was no adjustment made. The associate was confronting and not helpful at all.
The sales clerk was overly friendly. I was trying to leave after buying an older game and he couldn't pick up on the social cues and continued to sing the praises of the game I had already purchased. Weirded me out.
I bought a used copy of assassins creed unity, I didn’t receive a receipt. Opened the box the next day and found no game inside. 0/10 sold me an empty box for $10 with no hope of getting my money back
Really knowledgeable staff. Spoke with a young gent who is also another PC Gamer and commiserated over some of the aspects of console gaming vs PC gaming. Nice to have unbiased staff who can appreciate both sides of things. Will definitely be back to this location!
