The only good thing about this place is the fireplace outside. The coffee is not good at all. Very watered down. Also the customer service lacks. We walked in and hardly got a hello until we asked to order. Honestly Canmore has a lot of other cafes and I will not be returning.
Love this modern cute coffee shop. They have few seats and tables inside and also have tables outside with little firepit. Tried their Mocha, the barista was very skilled, milk foam is super foamy and soft, could taste riche flavour of coffee.
The coffee is slightly bitter, but I like it very much. The croissant is really delicious, not dry and fluffy inside. The overall interior design is very good, but the price is a bit high. I don’t recommend it in terms of cost performance.
I absolutely loved my experience at this coffee shop. The service was great, and the lavender latte that I ordered was fantastic. They have plenty of dairy-free milk alternatives as well.
Don’t go to Canmore often but this was a great experience. The lady with the glasses and cool tattoos was super attentive and friendly. Her art on the coffee is unmatched! Taking time to speak with customers while also getting what they need in a timely manner.
Will visit every time I’m in Canmore strictly because of her service!
I bought Almond Croissant and Coconut Pandam Croissant. There are various pastries and coffee menus. There is a little confusion in the choice because the price is not written. I think it will take more time to ask the staff one by one.
Located on the main street in Canmore, the coffee is good and it is such a cozy place to relax in. Staff are friendly and the snacks they offer are good.
Great tasting lavender latte with oat milk. My only suggestion is to ask the customer if they would like the sprinkle of lavender on top or not. I kept getting pieces of lavender in my mouth that I did not enjoy.
Great cute coffee shop. Really fun light fixtures and solid coffee. Outdoor seating area for those that choose it and chipper staff even on New Year’s Day.
As usual my go to place for coffee in Canmore. This time I took my friend there. Ordered a capuccino. Loved the creamy texture of the coffee. Smooth after taste. Two shots of espresso. Perfect coffee. It had a long queue though. Even though it wasn't a holiday. I guess it's just popular. But they surely can do with some more staff. And they don't Amex cards. So that was a bummer. I am glad I had another card with me. Keep it on your list of places for coffee if you will be stopping in Canmore for a quick break.
Great quality, I’m a coffee drinker and I can confirm that they are the best in Canmore. I had Americano which a good test to tell the quality of coffee with no milk.
I often buy their beans in Calgary, so it was nice to go to an actual shop. I was super cold the day I visited, so the warm coffee was a gift for the soul. Very good coffee and the person working was super cute and nice:)!
Awesome coffee, friendly and efficient staff they processed everyone's order so quickly. The baristas genuinely seemed happy to be working there. No one on their cell or talking about their personal life to one another. Very focused on customer service nice too see! Great job Eclipse!
As a regular patron of eclipse, I just wanted to give a shout out to the whole team. You guys work so hard to make a delicious cup of coffee and a perfect mountain experience. The staff are always friendly and most of them work 5-6 days a week because of being understaffed. For all the nay sayers who are getting upset about dirty tables or lids and giving bad reviews, give your heads a shake. The Cafe is constantly busy, and the staff are doing their best. Thank you guys for providing the valley with perfect coffee. I will continue coming in nearly every day
Girl stared at us without acknowledging us as we stood in front of her to order. Finally we said hi and she responded hesitantly.
Ordered an iced coffee with cream. We asked for more cream because it was still a black colour; they doused it, turning it white. (Why can’t people add their own? !) The girl looked at her coworker and they both smiled at each other, as if to say, “Oops! ” Nothing said to us. The staff knew it was too much because we all looked at each other without saying anything. Two little cubes in a warm cup— not iced coffee.
Eclipse was an excellent place to stop, especially considering there are many cafes you can visit in Canmore/Banff area. The flavour of their espresso was wonderful. It was bold enough to get a good coffee flavour but also soft enough to not feel the acidity. Plus they finish the drink off with some kind of Latte art (always a nice touch). They have a variety of beans that have been roasted by them for purchase, and a variety of snacks/pastries that you can buy to complement your beverage. The seating area is small but it is bright, comfy, and welcoming. The staff was very helpful in choosing the right coffee blend for me. Thanks for a wonderful visit! I will be back.
My friends and I came here on all 3 days that we stayed in Canmore. Needless to say the almond milk lattes were great and we shared a cardomon bun on one of the visits. A must for anyone who enjoys a great cup of Java
The Barista was excellent. We were in town shooting a show.so we placed several orders at once. The entire crew agrees that their drink were excellent and we ended up sending staff for several more orders. The London Fog with vanilla is still calling my name! Tip well good people! These drinks and service are well worth it!
Came in for two drip coffees at 11: 30 am. Was told they were only had enough coffee for one. Not sure why they were running out of coffee at this time or why there was only one pot of coffee brewed. Left unsatisfied.
This Cafe uses the same espresso beans as their Bow Valley Trail location but the quality is night and day! The espresso we had was mildly sweet with obvious caramel notes. The staff was fantastic, engaging, and passionate.
Mediocre Cafe experience for a coffee roastry. Chai latte wasn't hot, mocha not properly stirred & staff could be friendlier. I asked 3 times what a particular pastry was in the case & the guy wouldn't answer me and just stared at me waiting to choose one. No thank you or acknowledgment from the staff, they seemed more interested in their own conversations amongst each other than with the customers. Definitely won't be rushing back. Lots of better options to choose from in Canmore.
I suppose being a cafe junkie, it is obligatory for me to surveil all of the chai-latte-offering establishments, and this is one that did not disappoint. NB: i am not a coffee drinker, so i believe my objectivity is that much purer.
I’ve been here a few times and the service has been exceptional. Sometimes it can be hard to find a proper latte even at a local roaster, but eclipse has their shots dialed in perfectly.
Fantastic coffee, this will always be my coffee stop in Canmore.
One of the best mochas I’ve had in my life! Excellent quality coffee, not hurt your tooth Starbucks sweetness, you can really taste the espresso. Perfect amount of steamed milk. Just WOW!
Horrible service and don’t follow proper exemption program rules mandated. Passport you to just order take out the rule is dine in only requires passport. Took business elsewhere we show enough passports as it is.
Upon arrival, the patio was busy, both with adults and their kids as well as friendly passers by. Inside, we were greeted with a couple of great ladies that were so welcoming, it was honestly refreshing. The atmosphere is light, kind and warm. It's somewhere that the customer expectations are high and the staff delivers every dang time.
I am happy to say that I will recommend Eclipse to friends that come through Canmore!
Slow service, no physical distancing in store, enployees do not wear masks, no lid provided on to go cup, and a fellow customer called me a propagandists when i asked him to give me more rhan 2 ft of space since he had no mask on. Coffee was incredibly mediocre
Friendly and helpful staff, when asked questions. The Americano I had was very strong (just the way I like it). The set up was beautiful and the atmosphere was calming.
Great coffee, the baked goods looked very delicious too (wish I tried them). Nice minimalistic style inside, pretty limited menu so if all you want is a good espresso drink this is for you.
Cute cafe design with good drinks. Smack dab in the middle of Canmore so you can easily grab your drink to go and walk along the Bow River. Felt quite safe with their COVID precautions. Was a bit disappointed in the temperature of my tea latte as it wasn’t hot enough but my boyfriend got an Americano and the temp was good.
We had lattes/flat whites over several days from the cafe and the roaster location itself and felt like the cafe was noticeably better and more consistent. The cafe itself has a nice atmosphere but the coffee itself kept us coming back. They actually weigh their grind, which is so rare but also speaks to their skill and consistency. Highly recommend (especially the cafe) if you care about getting a truly great beverage.
Super friendly staff, delicious coffee, cute latte art & delicious pastries. I’m not sad I stopped here. Will be back next time I come through Canmore.
