A very busy store at this time of year.
Edelweiss has tons of items from all over Europe.
There is a large variety of freshly cooked German cuisine available for dinner tonight! Mmmmm potato pancakes.

What a find! This is a Bistro/Deli/Bakery/European grocery and Curio Shop all rolled into one store. Lunch in the restaurant was great. I ordered clam chowder soup and a rueben sandwich-both were a 10/10.

Terrible, unprofessional service. If you are going to go, definitely don't bother going to the restaurant.
My family and I came to have dinner there during the weekday.it was over an hour and a half from closing, they had plenty of staff, so there shouldn't have been any time issues.
We were seated at a dirty table in the far back corner, to which we were completely ignored by the wait staff for over 15 minuets.
Put off, we decided to leave and no one even looked at us while we left.

Okay I will not deny they have GREAT food but today, for 12 perogies, I paid 37.17. Wow. My mind was fn blown at this.

Black Forest Cake was fantastic

I bought there expired pate and wanted just to get money refund but according to there "store policy" they can only change it. Never heard any apologies and that's quite disappointing.
They should really keep looking after their food better cause there were sausages with mold and I assume they have some more expired positions.

The Asian looking server, gave me a dirty look just for asking for more tomato sauce.
I understand cabbage rolls are not made in China.
When the other lady pointed out, she just put a disgusting pinch and fold it over.
I'm shopping at this village for years, but I'm about to go elsewhere.
Chinese German food soon.
Don't go there if you are not Chinese lol!

We've been regular customers at Edelweiss ever since moving to Canada. With their excellent range of European Deli, I find that the fresh food departments (bakery!) have become even better over the years - lifesaving for us in the NW when we're craving old world food. Thanks to the Edelweiss team!

It is very cute inside and all the food looks quite good. That being said, I would suggest watching the price of items or food you purchase so as to not be surprised when you get to the register. I paid ~$20 for 2 chololates from the shop and 6 pierogies for the deli (at the end of the day). Pierogies were reasonable.

Awesome place! Visiting the Edelweiss Village is an experience that is difficult to describe.:)

Love the variety of European foods friendly staff the food tastes excellent just like being at oma's prices are a little high but there's always something new stock is in for Christmas but not the selection as in the past and prices are even higher

Having lived in Berlin for almost 6-years this small place definitely brings me back. The food, the decoration and the occasional German from some of their staff. Highly recommend it, go for a coffee and have a treat you won't regret it.

Awful customer service. I bought extremely overpriced meals, went to sit down in their empty restaurant and got kicked out, because "we no longer offer people to sit down in the restaurant for take out. You must get a server to sit down here. " Literally their "server" came to us as we were just about sitting and told us that we must leave the restaurant. I will make sure to let everyone know about this place's lack of any kind of host skills. I will share this experience with all the eastern european communities. Also, their tortes are not even half worth the price. If you want to buy food, be able to sit in and eat undisturbed, get amazing customer service - go to Kalinka Russian store. The food is much better the tortes are 100 times better and the prices are similar.

At Almost 7 dollars for a small slice of cheesecake I was shocked. But im used to these price so it's alright. But how do you expect people to know what you are selling without putting labels on over 40% of your things. You expect the average person to thing think a black spotted cheese cake is basic cheese cake? Is this new york cheese cake? A ricotta one? A greek one? A german cheesecake? We can't know. They are missing tags/labels on most of the baked goods. This made it hard to know what you guys had. The ladies at the front were to busy to inform me of what the baked goods were. And because they couldn't put a single description card for each bakery item, the average Canadian is left clueless. I am a chef I know many goods by names buy even I had a problem. So I know most probably had even worse time.

You want me to spend 7+ on each good. Please do us a favor and WRITE A 20 WORD DESCRIPTION. ATLEAST LABEL EVERYTHING IN YOUR BAKERY. I was really excited to vist this cool looking place and felt if I didn't have to Google everything or the staff atleast were more approachable so I could ask, then it would have been better. But because of this I feel I would never recommend or go here again. I love going to bakeries and I love it even more when they have variety but when they are to lazy to label things and too unfriendly that customers can't ask it ruins an experience.

Went here to buy Marzipan at the request of my wife. I asked the staff if they could help me out and a lady gave me this saying it was Marzipan. It turns out it was not Marzipan (over double the almond percentage of commercial Marzipan). When I tried to return it, less then an hour later, unopened and untouched, I was told they would not take it back, and it was not up for discussion.
