Edgemont Palace

One of the great dim dum spots in the burbs. The items are delicious. I highly recommend the XO fried lo bak go. Excellent.

The previous is Edgemont city Asian cuisine. Dim sum is the worst around the city. Dinner is fine but worse than before. The most disappointing is service. Dog faces all the time it looks customers owed their tons of money. Make sure call them to ask what they don’t have on the menu otherwise you will see half of menu you can’t order. Ok for community people but if there’s another choice, we never come back

Love this restaurant especially for lunch as their dim sum are large, flavourful and well priced. Staff is efficient and helpful. Lily, our server, was amazing as she provided many great suggestions and advice. Highly recommend for dinner as well.

Food wasn't too bad but the service.to say it was bad would imply that there was any in the first place. I don't think I've ever had such a unique experience of being so completely ignored the entire time. Slow and ignored must be their motto.

This is one of those places in a strip mall like a hundred other tiny restaurants in the city. There is one slight difference. The place is packed all the time. Parking is at a premium in this little mall, and there are people waiting in cars to park.

You go into the Edgemont Place, and every single seat is filled. This is a good sign. I ordered their menu item - dinner for two - takeout. I stood at the front waiting for my order and watched a steady stream of people coming in, and I mean every single minute, people were arriving. I have no idea where these people went. Maybe there is a portal in the back room.

I paid, got my order, and went home. True to the volume of people, their food was superb. All other Chinese restaurants will be judged with this bar. You can do no harm ordering from the Edgemount Palace.

I placed a 2nd order with the Palace about 3 weeks later and was surprised. The sweet and sour pork had large bones in it. I don't mind the bones, but they shouldn't make up the bulk of the order. The ginger was gummy, and the top had recently made ginger beef. However, towards the bottom of the meal was a very dark mass of beef and not edible. The chicken rice was okay but I wouldn't order the beef and vegetables again. The dish was lacking in vegetables. Disappointing.

WORST service ever! This place will make your blood boil with the overcrowding and abnoxious servers - all condoned and exemplified by the owners and their family members. Cheap dine-in pricing attracts the loud, senior Hong Kong crowd in drones here but realize what you'll be experiencing at a slightly discounted check. "We don't give a flying hoot about you so shut up or get out", is how you'll feel if you dine here.

Besides the obvious cleanliness and hygiene issues reflected by the ceiling, walls and floors, their well hidden kitchen will make you throw up if you're unlucky enough to catch a glimpse. Blood stained boxes and raw thawing meats sit right beside your finished order because of tight spacing. Not sure if my sickness after eating here was caused by contamination or psychological trauma from seeing food preparation.

The only question after eating here isn't, "will I return? " but "why is this place still allowed to operate? " The dirty wet markets in China and Hong Kong are still cleaner than this dive.

Great selection of delicious dim-sum! Service was prompt n courteous. Ordered from the specials menu, only $4.95 each!

Very reasonable prices and services are good.
Returned the follow week to pickup takeouts, generously portioned.

Good place for family eat-out. The Peking Duck was excellent. The duck was freshly prepared and quickly served as well as the wraps. It was very juicy.

I visited here for dinner party, we had dinner course with appetizer, fish soup, giant fried shrimp ball, chicken in 2 different ways, steamed whole fish, lobster and noodle, seafood noodle, fried rice, mushroom and vegetable, dessert. Food was good and service was very attentive. There was a parking for the strip mall, access was very convenient.

The food quality and portions are great. Especially in this current economy. The taste of the food has stayed consistent. The staff are quick and efficient. The Peking duck and sweet and sour pork were delicious. Salt and pepper squid was cooked well and wasn’t chewy or
Frozen tasting! Great value!

Honourable mention to the shrimp ball. Dinner here is really good, the food is prepared well and the price is decent. We frequent a lot of the Chinese restaurants and this is probably top 5 in the way they cook things

Hands down best chinese restaurant in Alberta and I'm an asian from Vancouver.service was amazing, food was super good. Very nice selection for dim sum as well. Nice interior.

Came for dinner. Slowest service I have ever had, took nearly 1 and a half hours for 4 dishes, with a half hour gap in between the second and third. Very unprofessional. Food tastes fine but not sure if I would trust the hygiene of this place. Should spend your money elsewhere.

This place is very close to my parents so we enjoy the convenience. We often come for dim sum. It's a bit more expensive than other places but the quality of the food is still good. We enjoy every dish we order and the portions are plentiful.

The shanghai noodles arent super great however (see picture) There are better dim sum locations but if you're nearby then I would recommend a visit.
