I am so grateful for Dr Weber and all he has done for me. His bedside manner was incredible. I always felt like I was talking with a friend. His work has allowed me to get back to my physical activity, without pain.
His support staff at the clinic (Trish and Mark) were kind, understanding and patient with me. I am beyond grateful. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU Dr. Weber

Dr Herman is the best surgeon and Ms Stella and Ms Shayla very friendly and lovely team my father had hip replacement and he had pain when he walked before but after surgery he walks easily and he doesn't feel any pain now.

My name is Lorne Allen of Edmonton, AB and It appears as though my total hip replacement has been potentially put on permanent hold because of a so-called "fail" on a sleep apnea test. Only problem with that is the test was carried out with only 3 out of 4 green lights on testing device - the last pipette would not lock in place in order to maintain a "closed" scientific setting - which left air spewing into the atmosphere and should have nullified the results. Additionally, when the reporting agent had me falling asleep 3.5 hours earlier than actual time (during which the sleep clinic obtained some of their best results?), I felt like the entire test was rigged! Further, I supposedly suffered some 47 "acute, severe apnea" results over a 9 hour sleep interval when in fact I cannot sleep more than 4.5 - 5 hours a night (testing night was from sometime after 12: 30 AM to 5: 15 AM at which time test was terminated) due to acute, severe pain in my right hip.groin, right leg and right buttock. Will the caring physician who referred me for this "fixed" test please explain to me how in GOD's green earth this could have happened and why, other than to make big bucks, a senior of 70 years was so maltreated? ! Oh yeah, when the testing device was returned to sleep clinic, the receiving agent was informed of the green light problem (as at the time I was ready to repeat the test) whose only response was "oh. I'm sure they obtained enough to work with in order to assess you". Again, I ask you how they were able to diagnose me with a faulty testing unit? And how dare they, at the same time as revealing by horrific test results, the same agent who reports my results, tries to sell me a CPAP unit only minutes after divulging this very improbable data. Shame and a pox on all those "professionals" who created my results! Disillusioned!

Amazing staff and surgeons. Appointments are book and held on time. The administrative staff are efficient and friendly.

I have been to this clinic twice. My knees are extremely painful to the point I can barely walk without assistance. I am on prescribed pain meds as well as 10 to 15 Advil per day just to function. Both times I attended my appointments at the hip and knee clinic I was flatly rejected due to my weight and age. The Dr I seen for my appointment did nothing but fat shame me and reiterate I was too young for replacement as well as he told me “it might not be your knees at all”. I would never recommend this clinic as they seem to be fine with people taking a lot of pills for pain relief. I will certainly explore other options that will at least treat me with dignity.

What a frustrating experience, waited 4 months to talk to someone who is not the surgeon and didn't care about my meds or history only to find out I have another approximately another 6 to 10 months of consistent pain to hopefully talk to a surgeon then possibly get a date for surgery. Total waste of time and tax dollars! Almost 6 months later still no appointment with surgeon it is now a year since my family doctor sent a referral.

The only reason I rated this facility a one star is because of the front end staff. I saw a Dr. Hunka today regarding my left knee. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I was referred here by my family physician who had already diagnosed my left knee with arthritis and he recommended supplements which should help ease my pain. All Dr. Hunka told me was that I had arthritis and was not anywhere near further treatment. He asked me if I was taking anything for the pain and I indicated that I was taking 8 - 12 Tylenol per day and wearing a knee brace for work. He told me to continue and offered no suggestions for supplements when asked. He wanted to get this consult over with ASAP. Leaves me to believe he wanted his payment from Alberta Health as quickly as possible and on to the next appointment. In my opinion, Dr. Hunka should not be practicing, he has no beside manners whatsoever and his licence should be investigated and revoked. If you are booking an appointment do not accept one with Dr. Hunka. Insist on another doctor.
