Cleanest and safest mall in Edmonton. Strong security and police presence, great place to network, staff friendly and helpful, and you'll find alot of your favorite stores here. Love the artwork installations, this could be one day be the heart of Edmonton. Plus if you spend $50 or more here parking is free!

A beautiful mall!

I don't like that it closes at 6 pm. It's a herculean task to meet up after the close of work.
04 October 2023 10:09
Busy busy busy place! Many amenities, the usual suspects if you needa to shop city center you stop
26 September 2023 3:58
Convenient enough location with lots of options, but there are plenty of empty stores and bathrooms constantly under maintenance. Pee before you come to this mall.
24 September 2023 7:50
Food court is full of people. No one will move out of the way for a disability scooter. Handicapped accessible washroom is miles away and has a large wall in the way of accessing it.
23 September 2023 19:09
I came for a reception hosted by the city of Edmonton. Absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed visiting council chambers.
21 August 2023 13:33
Really not much here (least in the west part of the mall). Kind of odd, but overall clean and safe
15 February 2022 1:38
City Centre, I have been going there for many year's. I go shopping there and meet friend's usually enjoy going to Churchill square and or library. I like his it's connected to alot of places downtown Edmonton.
30 January 2022 0:38
How can you go wrong with a mall, after shopping go to food court or Tim's for a donut and a (Double Double) hey works for me.
18 January 2022 17:22
Ah, Downtown Edmonton, how I envy you so. Many times down town why do I always make meself in to these strange places. The people have a great sense of character and of most of all there's the new train station about find a block to post and go soon enough
14 January 2022 4:16
I think City center mall should be ashamed of its actions by banning that lady from handing out stuff to the vulnerable citizens of edmonton it seems the people that run that mall have lost there humanity and compassion during a time when helping people is needed we should boycott this mall so everyone within the organization can suffer for their beliefs and actions and be held accountable. I say shame on you City center. YOUR SLOGAN SAYS START AT THE HEART BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT HAVE ONE AND YOUR ACTIONS CONTRADICT THIS.
13 January 2022 7:18
Was a quick in and out but every staff I ran into was so pleasant to my goddaughter (3 years old) who was literally handing her money away.
06 January 2022 22:14
Banning food and care for the homeless is repulsive behaviour in extreme cold. This mall has a reputation of poor treatment of indigenous peoples, including the removal of a tribal chief from the mall for no reason other than being indigenous. There are better places to shop and support in Edmonton. Buy local.
05 January 2022 11:30
Just saw a video of them moving out Bear Clan Patrol and been their leader for trying to provide support to our cities' unhoused population. Shameful
01 January 2022 14:42
The mall is like a ghost town! All but empty of shops. Depressing. Whoever owns this now needs to get real and get some tenants!
27 December 2021 16:46
This aging mall is located in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. The mall administration loves to promote this fact in their adverts (Start in the Heart!), but there really isn’t much here to draw anybody. The majority of storefronts are empty, there are sketchy people all over the place either smoking or shooting up, and security everywhere who seem to do nothing but stand around. The food court on the top floor is newly renovated and has a good selection of restaurants. That’s about it.

There’s so much potential in Downtown Edmonton. I’d love to be able to take the LRT downtown and wander around comfortably but I can’t with the state our downtown is in now. When more people live and visit downtown, the more safe it will feel.
16 December 2021 13:39
There is so many good shops for buying the clothes and food court is also available if you are hungry while shopping
12 December 2021 8:08
Everything you need under one roof
Also a very cool art space hoping local artists to be heard. They even have art shows from the artists at night from Friday to Saturday. Very if you are a art fan.

Edmonton's Largest Homeless Shelter.

**DO Not Stay Here if you're going to the Citadel**

About 2/3rds of the mall is either vacant or closed and there are homeless people sleeping or shooting up in most pedways. The security is a joke, they are rude, and not helpful in the least.
Oh, and all the pedways and entrances to the mall close at 7pm. So if you took the pedways to the Citadel, there is no hope of coming back through the mall. You have to walk around the entire mall for blocks to find another entrance that isn't locked, but don't worry, they have plenty of homeless people outside, so you'll never be lonely.
The insane amount of construction in the area also makes it incredibly hard to navigate to the Delta or other hotels.

This mall is dying, and rightfully so. I just plain don't feel safe here, there are more shops closed than open, and the construction in the area ensures a frustrating trip.
11 December 2021 21:56
Pretty sorry excuse for a mall these days. Covid has hit hard. The Bay anchor is gone as are all of my favourite shops. Used to be my "go to" and closest mall. Not worth it now. Very sad. Hopefully it will rise again.
11 December 2021 0:04
Not the best mall security is all over the place harassing ppl. And good luck finding a washroom.
30 November 2021 23:25
I lost my wallet here and didn't notice till I got home on the west end. Thankfully the security found it and gave it to guess services, so when I called and asked they said they had it. It was super easy to get back.
Beautiful and fun mall too! So much here!
29 November 2021 16:21
Always people stealing or being dumb. I hate to see that. Only thing I disnt like about my trip other the. That Winners is the spot!
25 November 2021 3:19
The mall is quite sad now a days with more and more shops closing there doors almost monthly, hopefully they can turn this around and get some solid tenants in there soon. But the Winners is great and the movie theater is open again!
21 November 2021 1:19
Excellent location and cool architecture the way they join several buildings with bridges. Several of the merchant spaces are currently closed permanently perhaps due to COVID or due to the copious amounts of construction in the surrounding area. The food court is awesome and there are still plenty of great stores operating on site.
09 November 2021 15:46
This place is pretty big and it has a lot of stores and a big food court. There's escalators and elevators going everywhere so everyone has full access even if they are in a wheelchair or use a cane or something to that effect. It's a good place to check out if you have some free time or want to hang out with some friends.
21 October 2021 15:58
The HiveMind That Is Reddit Has Killed This Mall. Dont Believe The Goofs Of reddit The Mall Is Nice DownTown is Bestest Not Worstest
25 September 2021 16:19
They really use this space for awesome events: food festivals, art installations, shows. I just with that there was better restaurants off the square.
19 September 2021 7:26
It's a mediocre offering compared to West Edmonton Mall. But, who would be able to live up that type of shadow. Still plagued with the homeless but then again I myself used to live there more or less lol
27 August 2021 0:46
I was at Roger's, and they were very helpful in getting my sim card and accessories. I got what I was looking for and then some. 2 otter boxes, 2 screen savers, 2 fast chargers 1 set of ear buds and 1five foot chord c-c
17 August 2021 16:41
So I used to work here. I loved my job, but the mall itself was pretty lackluster. Even prior to covid, it was a fairly dead mall. Most of the stores have completely closed, although there's still some helpful ones like shoppers, Dollarama and the food court. It's a business mall, so the majority of the business comes from those who work in the neighboring tower. A few years back this mall was great, although its just not what it used to be anymore. Hopefully that'll change in the future, or maybe it could be turned into something resourceful like a shelter for the downtown homeless population.
15 July 2021 4:50
Besides the fact that some one is always asking me for change around there. Its a very nice mall
23 June 2021 1:29
I try not to go to this mall when possible. There is alot of seedy characters. Security is doing the best they can, but they sneak in
14 June 2021 20:44
I just love walking around taking pictures and it's a great place to eat shopping is a must great location see all there soon
13 June 2021 3:13
Good experience I couldn't decide wat I wanted n I we aren't bother probly at same store for over a hr trying to find the one I wanted n eventually bought the total opposite of way I went for like 3hrs later.but I wasn't rushed I was only person there in that store. (and exaggeration wen I say 3hrs more like 1
10 June 2021 19:17
My daughter loves coming to this mall! From the selection of stores to the unique setup, and the friendly atmosphere it's definitely a must for the avid shopper.
06 June 2021 13:00
Sadly. Many stores are closed. There were people living in a cardboard box on the street across from one of the main entrances.
30 May 2021 16:05
Lots of store close, not only the pandemic. Little sad see a mall is like half empty. Just find out Thai express just close here.
29 May 2021 4:51
Closes really early, not much there, u can get easily turned around or lost. Not much for food options.
24 May 2021 2:24
The five stars I'm giving for the City Centre is to keep in consideration the pandemic has caused for the downtown core - namely the huge number of stores that have closed their doors. Through no fault to the mall owners or the shops that couldn't survive this pandemic, they keep the place clean, stylish, safe and accessible (and the washrooms clean as well)

Let's cut them some slack. Hopefully, whenever things come back to some semblance of normal, we'll see the Edmonton City Centre spring back to its former glory.
21 May 2021 19:21
It will be great once the LRT construction is finally done, but by that time there will be no stores left. Hudson Bay and Fionn MacCool's are the latest to close. The plethora of parking options available in all the different parkades is nice but would be cool if they were still free when you had a receipt from a store purchase in the Mall. It's almost fun exploring how far you can go on pedways and underground without having to go outside. The Landmark theater will certainly be missed, well it is definitely missed right now with this stupid flu bullsh! T, hope it comes back and doesn't end up closing forever
22 July 2019 9:34
This is the store in Edmonton with a big showroom for furniture. Great prices on Natuzzi collection.
The customer service is equally good.
15 July 2019 17:43
The mall is clean.l wish that l could say the same thing about there disgusting washrooms.l realize that our city has dropped the ball on homelessness but the washrooms make me not want to return!
13 July 2019 1:09
I love just walking in this place, nobody checks you out because it's all over the place, whatever your about it can happen here.
11 July 2019 10:15
It's a great place. This Mall used to be my living room. Lots of great shops and multi-floor open architectural concept. It's a big mall split into two wings connected by a bridge over a main street, where you can buy your coffee at the Timhortons and sit and watch the traffic and pedestrians below. Very unique mall, connected to the pedway and the LRT. The only thing this mall is missing is an airport.
09 July 2019 8:50
It's a busy mall but is in the center of downtown and connects all the buildings together with a walkway system through out the downtown core of buildings. Great place to get food, watch movies, and see beautiful women ;)
07 July 2019 16:55
The mall has undergone some good transformation lately. It's a happening place during the week, and a great place to catch a bite, a movie, or do some shopping. Best thing is that it's in the middle of public transportation hub, so getting there is a breathe.
03 July 2019 16:05
A lot can be done here, ranging from government activities, commercial dealings and personal functions.
03 July 2019 14:14
Not very accessible for this who have physical impairments. Only one main elevator for 4 floors and very small. Stores are okay.
25 June 2019 9:24
Conveniently located next to the police station courthouse and the homeless shelters. Great place for the homeless to warm up when it's -50
22 June 2019 9:54
Hudson's Bay one of the best all- Round family stores great Quality products and super friendly staff is what sticks out to me.
10 June 2019 9:48
Wonderfully mall, great selection for gift and clothing, but a big issues with homeless individuals.
10 June 2019 2:22
My LASIK store is in here and thats about the only useful store. No real food court, terrible stores.
08 June 2019 9:46
I like the way it's set up, three levels and you can stand by the glass in the middle and watch all the people walk around on all three levels.
04 June 2019 12:54
Only shopping centre in the downtown area. Has Almost everything you need. Shopping, Movie theatre, restaurants and Fresh Air from their Indoor Plants!
29 May 2019 10:55
Wonderful mall, I come here very often to buy a few things after work, or for lunch. It is always clean and looks magnificent, and the security guards do a good job of keeping the homeless people out of the mall. The high security presence makes me feel safe. But I gave the mall 3 stars because for the past 5 months there has ALWAYS been at least 1 escalator out. Which means to get to the upper levels you either need to wait in an indeterminably long line for the elevator, or go into some sketchy back room to use the stairs. This is not professional. Normal places would have just shut down the second escalator and allow people to use it as stairs, but for some unknown reason they don't, forcing people to do long unnecisary detours to get up or down.
28 May 2019 18:20
Quite the mall in Gotham. Lots of unique stores, but lots of very unique people in the mall as well. The restaurants are in a premium location at the top which is interesting. When I am downtown I like heading here to grab a quick bite, do some shopping and people watch.
13 May 2019 11:29
The hood. Everytime I go here I feel like I'm going to get robbed. They spend all this money on infrastructure but nothing about getting the homeless and vagrant situation under control.
09 May 2019 4:04
Like the convenient location, but wish something could be done at the looters at the south entrance. Sometimes feel very vulnerable passing through those doors near Tim's.
10 April 2019 13:53
Since they upgraded this it's nicer and the food court is way better than before. Wish they had more clothing stores for children though.
