Forgiving layout and the greens are true!
Interesting history lesson as you got though the course too.

Hands down best Golf Marshalls and Pro Shop staff in surrounding area. Most of them are Vets and are down to earth people that made my time golfing at the garrison that much better!

If you are military and want a sit down lunch within your lunch break it's a great spot. Great food, daily specials, lots of good golf deals as well. Staff is always friendly, crafts beers and lots of variety. It's a favorite spot for lunch or sometimes to enjoy tacos tuesday, or surf and turf night on Fridays. Great prices.

Has become my favorite course in the city to play, super great conditions great staff and some good challenging holes but not overly hard! Great mix of pars

Course is decent enough, pretty dried out compared to other places. One of the roughest cart rides around, we happened to be playing after they recently aerated the greens which made it like putting in a sand trap.

Snack cart was completely absent the entire round despite it being 30+ degrees out. Pace of play was atrocious. Waited 10-15 minutes on every teebox. The 'marshal' was some goateed old gaffer who should really just retire. He was completely absent the entire round when he was actually needed to enforce pace-of-play, then he cut our round short despite there being plenty of daylight left to finish. When we protested, he got angry and barked that he had to be up early the next morning.

So yeah - the cheap green fees are attractive, but expect a worse experience than other courses.

The food on the resto was awesome and the staffs are friendly, i will promote this place.and also the Golf Course was amazing.

I only played the back nine and the fairways/rough is very bumpy. I would recommend walking with a pull cart if you have any sort of back issues. Course was in good shape.

A fairly flat course with not too much in the way of water or traps. It has a bit of a drainage problem so avoid if a heavy rain has occurred in the last few days. Military history buffs will like that each hole has a commemorative theme related to battles fought by Canadian armed forces. Staff at the clubhouse and pro shop are very friendly and accommodating. Food is traditional golf course menu but execution is great as is the selection of craft beers.

The greens were kept up nicely but we were very rushed and didnt have time to finish all 18 holes as they put walkers infront of us so for the most part we were waiting the whole time

The pro shop and clubhouse are very nice. Greens were a little rough, but otherwise well kept. Course is a bit on the boring side, but the price is solid for a round. Downside is the driving range is a drive away.

Fairly easy course. Open with no water. Golf tournament so buffet steak dinner. Food was good. I'd go back

What a gem of a course. The military vehicles stowed throughout adds to the ambience.
Went there for a tournament and they treated us extremely well.
Highly recommended!

Decent Course for the value, however what makes this a 2 star review is the complete lack of care from the Marshals and starters. Mostly every round I have played here has been a 5.5+ hour round which is absolutely unbearable. Most of the marshals just sit at the front of the proshop and don't even go on the course minus one or two. Absolute joke, only go here if you're willing to be waiting 10 minutes on each hole.

What an amazing group of people! Ian and Jodi are awesome! Bought a membership this year after hearing from a couple buddies what a GReAT place to be.they were right.treated like a king (sorry to set the bar high guys). Plus course is in fantastic shape so far this season.clubhouse food and drink follows suit.cheers!

Had a great time at this place. Course is in great shape at the time of my visit. Mid may 2022. Check it out it's worth the drive

Very good price. I’ve been golfing here for years and my only complaints are fairway conditions are always changing as well as the green.

Nice course. Friendly proshop and restaurant staff and good prices. Would give it five stars if the cart girl actually drove around the course instead of just sitting on one hole waiting for everyone to come to her.

It was really good this season, they have done a unbelievable good keeping everyone safe and still letting us enjoy our time there!

Got rained out, but the course seemed good from what I could see. The staff made it a great experience.

Great shape as always perfect pace for a sat afternoon Marshal's are really good coming back st least one more time this season

We've played here rain or shine, it's always a good time and the course is forgiving for those that like to play both sides of the fairway

Super friendly staff and very well maintained course. The restaurant had amazing tasting burgers and fries.

Loved it, just note that the range is about 3 blocks away from the pro shop.

Does live up to its name

Was having fun untill a so called golf assistant came out barking at us for taking too long.he manner was very rude and confrontational and made very unprofessional comments.the party behind us didnt want to play through

For the price it could've been better. The course was in good shape overall but there was little in the way of further amenities.

I loved this course! Staff are great golf carts have a cool iPad in them to tell you about the par ahead etc. Also the greens are in fabulous shape. One of my favorite courses around the area!

Greens are in awesome shape! Course is in great condition. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Worth a trip to CFB Edmonton this course is awesome

With this heatwave the staff went above and beyond making sure everyone was doing well on the course. They drove around multiple times checking to see how everyone was doing and asking if you needed water and asked how you were doing.

Booked on GolfNow, and got an extremely good deal for my round. The course was not in the best shape, however, as it is early May, that is to be expected. Staff was extremely approachable and friendly. An extra shoutout goes to the starter, as he was awesome and made me feel welcome from the jump. Will certainly be back!

Great value at Garrison. I joined the club yesterday and am excited for the season ahead. Service is organized and very friendly. Membership dues are extremely reasonable and they even have the option of paying in 5 installments. I retired from the military 20 years and Garrison feels familiar and comfortable after a couple of decades removed from the mob.

Amazingly run organization, pro shop staff is very friendly and approachable. Course care and maintenance is great quality and quickly addressed in unforgiven AB storms. A must play.

The marshal gave us a speech about course etiquette. The content was fine as it had been several years since we last played here. The delivery could have been less condescending.

The course condition was okay. Greens were well maintained, tee boxes were.bumpy would be the best description. Fairways felt like concrete (somewhat excusable given the time of year.but still).

The real negative was enforcement of pace of play. It was non-existent. The group in front of us was very slow, and there was no one ahead of them for several holes. They didn't have the courtesy to let us play through, not the courses fault. No marshal in sight to enforce pace of play, definitely a disappointment.
