I was getting ready to try and carry my old microwave and toaster inside (thinking there goes my back) when this lovely employee comes out with this cart and takes my items. I was thrilled. In Clareview, your lucky if the employees even say hi to u. So from now on I will be going to the Oxford Goodwill!
I've donated items here on a few occasions. Despite a rough initial start when I donated items in the after hours donation bin during daytime hours and the associate yelled at me, I've had a good experience since.
There are not a lot of spots fir parking unfortunately so this can be a pain.
I love it when someone criticizes something on here they come back with how much good they are doing for the community. Goodwill has a history of demeaning pay and dangerous conditions while the CEO gets a 7 figure salary with all the expenses paid. Shady practice and shady responses are the only thing you can expect from a goodwill titled comment. Salvation Army is the only true non profit organization I would ever Give/Donate to.
The minute I walked in the gentleman working rolled his eyes at me, and sighed because I came to DONATE A FULL CAR LOAD OF BABY CLOTHES. This guy is a complete loser and totally rude. His name is Mike, and I can't believe how absolutely rude he was to me. The centre had very few donations inside. I could understand that response if he had a lot of things going on, but he was literally standing there doing NOTHING. I chose this place because of the good reviews, but I was completely shocked by how I was treated. I will be donating my things to a place that actually wants them. I would like to add that not everyone donates because they have extra stuff lying around. It is not easy for me to get rid of these items, and I'm not going to say why, but people who work in this industry need to have empathy because they don't always know why things are being donated.
