Edmonton Spay and Neuter Clinic

By far the BEST vet care my puppies have ever received. Today, Dr. Channa spayed my one year old Sheltie.

Due to a vet shortage in Fort Mac we had to come into Edmonton for vet care for our pup. I was beyond impressed from the very start.

Setting up the appointment over the telephone was a breeze and the front desk staff were very polite and clear on the prices of each option available. The prices are very good and worth the drive down from the North. They went over every single option and add on available and took the time to find out exactly what I would like for my pup with no pressure.

The clinic is spotless and clean. The appointment with Dr. Channa before the surgery was amazing. He was nice and kind to my little Sheltie. I was impressed that he took the time to answer my questions and also came up with a care plan that was best for the dog and would cause the least amount of pain. I was worried about her teeth and instead of just upselling me on a service he took the time to explain the best and most responsible way to proceed (X-ray first) even though it meant that I couldn’t get it done today. He cared about the dog and not just what he could charge me for.

The fact that Dr. Channa put the health and welfare of my dog first and foremost made me change to him as the vet for both of my dogs. I will be driving down from Fort Mac once a year for their vaccines and check up because I like and trust Dr. Channa completely with my pups. He truly is the best.

Thanks again for helping us get on the road home to Mac as early as possible as well so we could beat the snow storm today. Small touches like that prove why your clinic is the best.

In closing: if you’re looking for the best and most helpful front desk staff, the most amazing and caring Doctors and the nicest vet techs in the business and all at a great price …. Go see Dr. Channa at the Spay and Neuter clinic. Your pets are definitely worth the best care!

We go here for all our dogs needs, we adore Dr. Toor he is great with our dogs, and they are not always easy.so funny when he calls them “good man” too.prices are also reasonable too, we had both our dogs neutered here and a cherry eye removal 2 years ago, that has been successful:)

I took my 4-year-old pup in for a dental consultation after finding one of his teeth had fallen out. They were able to show me that his teeth needed intervention and provide a written estimate for cleaning and extractions that included optional extras. They were able to book the procedure for a few days later.

On the day of the procedure, they were very reassuring and kept me informed throughout the day. At pick-up time, the vet came out to the lobby and showed me photos of my pups teeth and what he had done. While my pup was a bit dopey when we picked him up, he never showed any major signs of being in pain, which tells me that they must have treated him very gently.

I'm very happy with the service provided and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Super affordable vet services, the ladies at the front were very friendly, and the vet was amazing with my kitten. Would definitely recommend it.

My sister brought our family dog in due to an ear infection two months ago, provided with some antibiotics in our first appointment and came back for a follow up appointment. During our second appointment, was told by Dr Toor that his ear infection is gone. We noticed after the appointment our dog is still scratching his ear and was showing signs of discomfort. We decided to get a second opinion at another vet and was told his ears are seriously infected and was also told that he has heart issues, which Dr Toor never informed us about. If you’re looking for a one minute checkup on your dog then this is the place for you. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Dr. Faith Graham was very patient and kind with our anxious dog this morning. The vaccination appointment went very smoothly thanks to her care and skill. The staff at the front desk were also wonderful.

Don't take your animal here, no fewer than 8 phone calls before and the day off recommending additional services. One service they recommended for my dog has led to further complications and vet expenses. They are worse than used car salesman, aggressive sales taticts on the phone and straight up unnecessary procedures. Avoid this clinic.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. How dare you discriminate against a cat with FIV, a disease that EVERY VET IN MY LIFE has told me is only at risk of transmission through “deep biting/scratching/fighting”. If your other patients have access to behave that way towards my cat then there is a MUCH larger issue at hand with your clinic. In fact, my vet told me there was NO concern around this FIV foster cat living safely with my senior cat unless they’re prone to fighting.

This is discriminatory, anti-science and uneducated. Shame on you. Clearly you need to upgrade your knowledge on FIV, or you just need to admit that you’re denying FIV clients out of pure bias, and stop saying it’s because it’s “high risk” when there is NO science to back that up and EVERY professional in YOUR industry has told me as such OTHER than you today.

PS: Reading the responses to your other bad reviews here, WOW. Guess no one in your clinic believes in any semblance of accountability, hey? Nothing but defensiveness and excuses in response to upset customers. Pretty clear now how little you care. Awesome.

Update: three days later the other spay & neuter clinic in town has NO issue with an FIV patient and scheduled him immediately. Do better.

I had a really great experience with my dog. Really impressed with how caring the doctor I saw was, and same goes for the receptionist!

Was greeted with friendly caring assistants. I believe the doctor I saw was Dr. Graham. Can not say enough about the care she gave to my dog. She explained everything that could be wrong with my baby. Did not push to have a bunch of test done. Prescribed an antibiotic and said we would start there and wait for results to come back before doing more test. So please with her mannerism and the mannerism of the other staff.

Ive taken 3 cats here to be spayed / neutered (2 separate occasions) with great experiences both times. Today I went to their new location and they had extremely helpful and friendly reception staff, affordable pricing and my boys seem happy and well taken care of! It took about a month for the appointment so I reccomend booking in advance, it was worth the wait (:

I will NEVER take my animals here again! My kitten who is now 3 years old got fixed and had her ears flushed at this place and came back with severe damage to her inner ear. She now has permanent head tilt and has never been the same. She went in with no issue's and came out with multiple issues. I have paid over $1000 trying to get her help to no avail. Now I have no choice but to put her down as I am unable to afford the massive vet bills trying to help her and has only gotten worse over the years. I have contacted the vet to no help from them. NEVER get your pets ears flushed here. After it was done and she was damaged, I was just handed her with a letter. When I called them days later I was told this can happen. Would have been nice to know that before they flushed her ears. Not impressed!

Dr is always very friendly and personable and cares about my cats and dog, even inquiring about them when they're not there!
Plus the services in terms of neutering and vaccinations are very affordable.

I have been taking my dog here, I am on my second. Service is Excellent and prizes are fair. They treat every one and every pet with care and you won’t have to worry about your bill after. I am on my 10 th year with them

Took my cat here recently to have her spayed. Very impressed with the service. The ladies I spoke to were very professional and made me feel comfortable bringing my cat here. Also very happy to have received a phone call checking on the wellness of my cat as I have not had that before with other places. 10/10 would recommend this clinic.

Took my kitten in for a neuter - he is recovering nicely and everything was done as expected!
I was also quite satisfied with the price - I paid around $200 for his neuter, microchip, pain medications, cone, and rabies vaccine. I think $200 is a great price for everything, and the staff were polite.

We've brought both of our cats to this clinic to be spayed and each time the staff have taken great care of our pets. They're also charge significantly less for the spay procedure than other vets including our regular vet who recommended them. I highly recommend this clinic.

Terrible. The vet here, belittled me and said that my cat simply had a dirt buildup in his paw, when in reality his whole paw was infected. This vet also had the audacity to blame me, saying that he would know an infection when he saw one. Yet his paw was infected when I saw him last month. Very unprofessional. Belittling clients is a sure way to lose customers. FOR THE RECORD: This diagnosis was not done by an actual vet who has not only had prior dealings with polydactyl cats, but had also stated that this infection had been there for AT LEAST a month and a half.

Receptionist was very polite and professional Dr Aman was great with our boy. Really good prices. We go to north side from millwoods.

I highly recommend the Spay and Neuter Clinic. I brought my dog in to be neutered and they were very kind and patient with him and all my questions and he was well cared for while he was at the clinic. There was a bit of redness around the incision that I wanted to make sure was normal so they had me email a photo and they called me back to ensure this was fine. They called me a few days later to follow up on my dog’s healing progress and to see if I had any questions. Excellent staff who show a great deal of care for your animals. As a pet owner, this can be a stressful process but they did a fantastic job.

Had my cat in the emergency and needed to find someplace else to perform her surgery for cheaper. They were pretty booked up but said they would call back and see what they could do. They called back around when they said they would and had her in within about an hour. They were all so friendly and professional. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.

We just recently got our puppy neutered here and were extremely grateful for the staff. This is our first dog and I had called to ask questions and had concerns post-surgery and they were extremely helpful, answering every single one of my questions. We were also very impressed with the cost of everything. We live 40 minutes away and refuse to look for a closer vet because of the service here.

Called first thing yesterday morning to book an appointment to have my kitten neutered. The gentleman on the phone asked for my name/number and said someone would call me back shortly. No one called me back. I've booked with a different clinic. It's disappointing because a friend of mine referred this place saying they had excellent customer service.

I had to cancel an apt.due to work and receptionist was giving me attitude while I never gave her any sign of bad behavior. I am grown up enough to let it go but feel it also needs to be addressed here as its very unprofessional.we all need to work so leave your problems at home while you represent a company

I’ve been taking my shiba here since around 2012/2013. Dr Toor is absolutely amazing with him. Service is always incredible, and prices are more than reasonable. The staff are all very friendly and personable, and even with the new covid procedures in place (waiting outside) they still managed to keep all our anxieties down. Highly recommend this place for your beloved pets

Definitely the best priced spay or neuter in Edmonton and area. Have been going here for the last 4 years for a total of 4 different animals and have always had a positive experience. Drop off At 8-9am, They call after your animal is out and then pick up at 4-5pm. Have always treated my animals great and are very informative with the procedure! I recommend to everyone

The staff is very friendly and the prices make it very affordable to bring your pets in to be checked out and keep healthy!

I would not recommend this place ever again! They wanted to charge to give my cat an iv fluids for her surgery. I don’t think so! Stay away from this place!

We had our first pup neutered here in Oct, and just had our female pup spayed last week. Both surgeries and recoveries went great. On Pebbles you can barely even tell she had an incision! I would totally recommend this clinic.

Took great care of our kitten. Spayed and didn’t appear to be in any discomfort at all in the week since. We opted to get pain killers for a couple days after just to make sure but I’m not even sure the kitty needed them.

Very well trained staff and knowledgeable vets, willing to work and accommodate you and your budget. We take our beloved dog Snowy there knowing that he will be taken care of with love and compassion.

I took my kitten here today to get neutered and the staff was very friendly, the Dr went through all the after care stuff and answered all my questions. I definitely recommend this vet as they noticed some things that another vet office completely missed and it was the most affordable vet office which is a bonus. I will definitely be making this my go to clinic.

We took our kittens in today to get spayed and neutered. The staff were very friendly and informed us of everything that was going to take place.

The veterinarian was very informative and didn't pressure us into any extra services. He explained everything and allowed us to make our own decisions.

Our kittens did great and were very spry and active when we picked them up. I would definitely recommend this clinic for anyone needing care for their animals.

I am very upset by the treatment I recieved from the office staff at this clinic. We had to take our dog here for an emergency situation that ended up requiring surgery. The vet was very helpful and kind and did as much as he could to help us out in this difficult situation. The receptionist however, she has absolutely NO customer service skills. She is very rude and tried multiple times to bully us into bringing him back in. I called them last night saying that i was a little concerned about our dogs incision, she told me she would save a slot for this morning but if for any reason we decided not to bring him in to just call her and let her know. So this morning after checking the incision it looked much better so my husband and I decided to wait for the weekend and see how things went. When i called and told her this she immediately got ignorant and threatened me that next time I decide I want to bring my pet in she is going to charge me a deposit, because SHE felt that we SHOULD be bringing him in. Unfortunately now we will be looking for a new clinic for our pets. In a situation like this the office staff should be compassionate and make their clients feel like they actually care about them and their pets needs, and I just felt like she was very judgmental and rude. And I am not the first person to feel this way. My friend also brought her dog here for a neuter and recieved the same attitude and treatment from this receptionist, and when she called to ask about her dogs incision being infected she told her that she was not allowed to bring him back in to be seen because he was showing aggression (which only started AFTER he had his surgery). Very disappointed.

I had such an unpleasant experience with the staff here.
When I picked up my puppy, the staff that was explaining the aftercare was extremely rude.when she went over two pages of instructions on a rush, and I asked some questions that she had already covered, I was told that she already gave me the answer and to go home and read the notes. It was a very stressful day for both myself and my dog and the staff just made it so much worse.a week later I got a "follow up" call which was more like a task that they had to accomplish.again, she did not allow me to ask any questions and all my comments were brushed off and ignored.
I will never recommend this place to anyone! Please don't waste your money!

Brought my Small breed dog into get fixed over a month ago now; did great!

They should keep the clinic more sanitary, in the doctor room there was debris on the floor that my puppy was picking up and eating. THE VET CUT MY PUPPIES NAILS TOO SHORT, made them bleed, when i called him concerned that he made multiple nails bleed, he told me its normal. SIR NO you do not put animals in pain by cutting the nail too short! The doctor charges 18 dollars to trim nails which i thought was ridiculous considering that last vet i brought my puppy to he didnt charge me anything for a nail trim.annoying. Will not be returning and definitely not recommending.

I got my two cats spayed here a couple weeks ago and the recovery time was amazing! They were back to playing like normal in a day. Prices are amazing too. Thanks!

Would have been more stars but, they quoted me $275 for a spay with all the shots. When it was all over and done with, it ended up being $400. If I would have known that, I would have went to another clinic.

You get what you pay for.they are not very good with dogs, the vet is afraid of large breeds. Will flag for aggression in a non aggressive animal purely because he's afraid.totally unprofessional.
