7months pregnant I’m big Hungry at that time and the wait was a bit longer than expected.ok cool Get my food they had gotten my order wrong the first time ok cool that’s ok stuff happens, they make my right order but in a hurry and my carrots and broccoli weren’t even cooked fully very hard and sloppy made just slapped on there I mean if I’m gonna pay 20$ for some meal for one person it should come out as such and they can’t give a refund which is odd … Just bummed me out lost my damn appetite at the end opt for some subway idk but horrible experience
Dine in with kids there is a bunch of flys in side restaurant asked why lady said they come from out side They area bit bigger then a fruit fly and black moved tables and still all over restaurant
Unfortunately sushi are not fresh made, they are from the fridge.even alaska roll os prepared beforehand and they added fish on top of it afterwards.rice is cold and solid, hard to eat.but the taste is ok.yeah and bubble tea still doesn’t have bubbles, but only sliced peaces of jelly
Very disappointed i ordered bubble tea and when i got it it had no bubbles! Only jelly when i started asking why the drink is under bubble tea when it had no bubbles they said it a different type of bubble tea! I said so why does it not say that and why its under that menu! How tf do u call it bubble tea without the bubbles! Very disappointed how they are selling it at same price as another place i could have went to and paid same amount and got jelly and the pearls all together!
Take out tonight. Ordered Sukiyaki beef, Hawaiian chicken, and veggie dinners all came out tasty. No lineup also got 4 California rolls, not as tasty as usual not sure what was different about them.they were just okay. 2 spring rolls, which were not overcooked.
The noodles were all clumped into one and were super soft! Very unappetizing. I'm pretty sure it was made yesterday and heated up in the microwave or something. I ordered right when it opened and this is what I got. Won't ever be ordering from here again, that's for sure.
The girls behind the counter were touching each other's hair and then touch the food. They never washed there hands. The food was cold. I really find it offensive when they don't speak English. If you are in customer service speak English. Unacceptable
My order always specifically says no mushrooms yet they're present EVERY time I've gotten food from here. It feels like there's more when I ask for none. What if it was an allergy? It isn't, but a little more attention needs to be paid when preparing the food. I'd go elsewhere if someone wasn't picking this up for me.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff, great job to be conscious of everyone walking in to pick up orders or dine in. Good selection and generally good food. Cons: Check your ingredient quality consistently and daily.
This is a review about their bubble tea, I think their food is good. The bubble tea is flavorless as well as the boba. The boba have a nasty chewiness that I've never had before. DON'T ORDER THIS ITEM. And yes I realize that no one is going to Edo for bubble tea.
Food portions are getting smaller as prices go up. Barely any vegetables. Sauce is watered down. Asked for 2 scoops and got barely one watered down one so my meal was dry and tasteless. Can make better myself at home
Soooo slow: (do not go in and order your food. Order it online or go somewhere else (Thai Express next door). Sitting in the restaurant with tons of people waiting for over 20 minutes to get an order. Disappointed and hangry: (
My boyfriend and I went to this location last night for dinner. My dinner came with a 5 inch long black hair. This was pointed out to staff immediately. They did not offer store credit, a free meal, drink, nothing. We paid full price for food with hair in it!
I ordered food on Friday and I’ve never been treated that bad in my life, the service was the worst I’ve ever gotten. The Filipino manager was so rude to me, as if I did something wrong to him. He needs to learn how to treat people better and most importantly with respect. You cannot stay in an industry like that if you have an attitude that makes no one want to come back. Proper customer service is what this location needs especially if you're a manager. Have some human decency at least. Never coming back here.
I've been to a few locations however this location seems to be the best flavor wise (maybe the cook cares) The staff I interact with are polite and well mannered
Great friendly service gave 4 stars previously. BUT. Paid full price for beef and chicken SUMO SIZE. Got it home to find no chicken and a regular portion of beef. REALLY disappointed.seems to happen alot.
Lack of respect from store Manager. I have an email from him (July 18th) confirming that a reimbursement would be made a couple days later to cover the many mistakes made on my last order (which happens a lot at that particular location). Last week (Aug 5th) I've sent him a follow-up note asking for an update and I've been ignored since then. My order had many mistakes, they promised to fix this and, to my surprise, they are not honoring that. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN, there are other Edo's in that SW region that seem to care about their customers. So disappointed with Edo Japan!
Great service, delicious as Edo always is and a very safe environment for takeout/pick up. This one isn't the closest location to me, but I'll absolutely be back to this one.
The food is good at most Edos but this location is sooo slow at preparing orders. In the evening it takes ar least 20 minutes to fulfill an order and they have no sense of urgency.
615 pm april 15. Gong show. Kep trying to order and half way through talking lady would start talking to anoyher customer. Twice. Gong show. Angry ppl all around.
It seems that foods being served are getting smaller in volume everyday. At this time of pandemic where people do not going out to eat, a little increase in food volume being served could help to entice customer to go back.
We have been going to this location for years. Always great service and I love the smiles of the staff. The food is cooked fresh and is very healthy. You have options like adding brown rice or cauliflower rice, skipping the sauce, skipping cabbage, extra veggies, etc.
I was there today I am usual customer there today I had the worst service ever my food took 40 min to get ready and by the time I got home my food was cold Never go there again
We used to go to Shawnessey branch, several times a months and was not bad over all, a bit pricy but not bad but tonight we went there the portion was very small and half of usual. Also, We wanted noodle but they gave us rice because we didn’t ask for rice or noodle but as we knew always those meals come with noodle when you don’t ask for rice! Beside that Sushi was not fresh and taste was bad! Any way tonight was last night of doing any business here at Edo shawnessy: (
The newer additions to the menu make all the difference. This location is also redesigned, which add a nice touch. 5 start rating for this for "fast food" place week deserved.
I used to come here weekly after errands in the past but recently my visit was a bit different. I was a bit confused inside. They renovated the layout and everything. They merchandise on the wall. Hideous! Nah! Food was also different. Japanese food must be made and served fresh! All the staff were philipinos, nice and friendly almost too nice for fast food joint but no caucasian Canadians?
First time I've ever been really impressed with a fast food/ restaurant place. This edo gave me great service a great welcome when I came in threw the doors and the food was good as well. The decor inside was very pleasant and felt great to dine in. Its may 17 at 12: 33 PM I hope the staff get a chance to hear how great the experience was that I had and how happy and pleased I am. Great job guys you are fantastic role models for other restaurants to take notes from.
I really like the overhaul of Edo Japan. The modern new look is much more in line with a Japanese establishment. I like the addition of candy, snacks, and merchandise, but I'd prefer they stocked the Japanese Hi-Chew, not the North American version. The staff was very friendly, with delivery to our table and they even checked to see if we were okay or needed anything. Even the new logo is nice. Also, thank you for allowing adults to purchase the kids meal. It's the perfect amount of food in most cases. I've never understood why some places won't sell you a kids meal - do you want my money or not? Plus, with Edo, you get a ninja tattoo. Bonus!
Terrible, quick service but give you way less amounts in meat! Was ripped off. Ordered double the meat and got less the normal amount. 3rd time I've be ripped off by this location. Never going back to Shawnessy Edo
I had a really good meal here! The place was clean and they were very fast to have our meals ready! I don’t like the new layout of the restaurant/store. I feel like there is not enough seating and the chairs are uncomfortable. I liked the old layout.or at least the d comfort level. I will definitely go back but maybe just take my order to go instead of sitting uncomfortably for 30-45 min.
Service was top notch, food was top notch, been coming here for over 10yrs and customer service is great. The staff were very friendly, did quality control, and grabbed my plate once I was done eating with family. Consistent service. Thanks guys.
The team here knows their ingredients. Knows how to make it efficiently and will quickly get you on your way. Food is always good and I visit way too often. The location is clean and well maintained. Staff are always friendly and understanding for a tired soul looking for nourishment.
Only thing I can discredit is the fact that their tech seems to need maintenance as the other day Receipt machine was down.and tonight a menu screen was bugging out. Lol.
Used to be a favourite. I appreciate the renovations they did but the service has gone way downhill. There were at least four people on staff tonight. Tons of people lined up but no one to take orders for several minutes. They didn’t give any sauce on my order even though I ordered two scoops. I didn’t find out until I got home and I hate dry rice. We got half the vegetables that we normally do. The gyozas were both charred and soggy. 2nd time I’ve been disappointed with the service at this location. Gonna start going to Sunpark instead.
