Brought my son in for an ultrasound here, it's his second visit. When he found out we had to go back, he was excited. This signifies how well his experience was at Southport. Our second visit was just as comfortable as our first. The same Technologist was amazing, thorough and gentle with my son. The experienced Technologist and onsite Radiologist was very informative and I felt grateful to have gotten them to examine my child. It made me, the parent, feel calm and less anxious. Thank you so much for the great experience.

I recently had a bone density exam at EFW Southport and I can't say enough about the courtesy and professionalism of everyone from the receptionists to the technicians! I was in & out within an hour (or less), and would *highly recommend* EFW, but especially this location. Every X-Ray and every exam I've had here through the years has been dealt with the exact same courtesy, empathy and professionalism. Thank You to all of you!

Quick phone booking for appointment. All staff were very professional and polite. Appointment was right on time. 2 hours free parking as well. If I could give them a 10 rating I would. Southpoint EFW!

I don't recommend this place. They don't take good pictures of your baby when doing an ultrasound. I even asked if I could take some pictures in the beginning and they said that they would give the pictures in the end. The pictures that I saw while they were doing the exam look very different than the ones that I saw while on the exam.
It looks like Canada is becoming pretty bad in any health service.

This place gets worse and worse! Every single one of the staff that work here are rude and have no manners no respect and especially for veterans and or active military service personnel. How can you support a business that doesn’t even have respect for veterans and or active service members that defend the freedoms of this country to allow these type of people to even be in this country and to work at this place, you do not deserve to be treated in a horrible manner and be disrespected, considering the situation you’re in which allows you to have to come to this type of place! There is no compassion there is no caring there’s not even any type of friendliness, so don’t put up with this type of behaviour and give taxpayers money to places like this that allow this type of behavior, and this type of service to be allowed!

Terrible service. Do not recommend. The moment I walked in everyone was snotty. I had a lady do my baby ultrasound that was in training she was quite nice but the senior that was overseeing her was completely rude in several different ways. This is my third baby so I knew what I should have expected and it certainly wasn’t like any of my other experiences. Needless to say I left in tears. Also I don’t need a reply saying “we’re sorry we have high standards. ” You clearly don’t if everyone is complaining about your location. Just do better.

Friendly, Fast, and clean.

Didn't do any pregnancy just like the review said, but had a regular radiology and it was fine. Allowed both my Dad and I to be in the same room just to translate

Friendly reception but technicians (or at least the one I had) had zero compassion. I had a painful hernia (while pregnant) so my doctor had sent me for an ultrasound. My technician, Adrienne, wouldn’t allow me to see my baby on the screen. Ridiculous.

Execrable service. Went there multiple times. From the rushed desk attendant to the robotic technician and the heartless doctor, I would not qualify this place as professional nor recommend it.
Patients deserve better treatment.

Horrible service.lack of compassion. Almost had an accident, called to mention that will be late since I had flat tires. Arrived there in stress and took me for 30 min with a student. Poor ultrasound with a student without even seeing the doctor to ask questions.
Not coming back there for sure.

My experience here has been pleasant. I had an appointment for 10 am and was done by 10: 30. My technician, Lexi was very gentle and compassionate. Front office staff were good.

Horrified by the lack of compassion and common sense at this clinic. One support person is allowed in for pregnancy ultrasounds, yet a woman whom had just suffered a traumatic miscarriage was told her partner could no longer join her as she is "no longer actively pregnant", so this was now considered a "medical scan". To think that someone would need less support after recently learning of the loss of their baby, than before, is an incredibly unfair and naive judgement to make. Doctors take an oath to do "no harm or injustice" to their patients, yet apparently don't uphold this oath in this setting. Absolutely outraged. If you have had a miscarriage, I would suggest you connect to an early pregnancy loss clinic where they can hopefully offer you more compassion than this clinic, who seeks to unnecessarily add to the trauma and suffering of those who go.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome, for accommodating my ultrasound along side my X-ray so I didn’t have to travel to the North in the afternoon. Everyone seemed very happy and it makes a difference. Thank you for making today easier for me.

You've probably already noticed (especially if you sort the reviews by 'Most Recent') that this particular clinic doesn't put much emphasis on treating their clients with respect and kindness. I should mention that we have been to several different EFW locations throughout the city, and have had nothing but GREAT experiences, so don't let this sour your opinion of EFW overall!

Very bad unfriendly experience! Rude reception, arrived as they ask earlier, but they themselves been Late.over 15 minutes, blaming me, that I didn’t want to change my own mask to there’s.who knows which and what and where it was before, and how clean are they, and presented with some who knows what “tool”. And why actually I have to trust to some unfriendly receptionist.specially these days, at least my mask I know it’s new and clean! I would Love to hear MANAGER about that issue! Super unpleasant situation! Well, if not I will take it up higher level of Health Athorities
It’s all sounds like someone trying to change my human right of freedom? !

Curt, unsympathetic technicians. No education about next steps when such information would be vital for some patients in some situations.

We experienced cold and unsupportive technicians. It wasn’t so much the news received that hurt but the manner in which it was delivered.

I forget who the wonderful tech was doing my scan today- but she was amazing! (I apologize for forgetting the name- too much excitement & nerves). She explained every little thing I was seeing and helped calm down my jumble of nerves at the first baby scan. So reassuring and lovely. Thank you for being so good at your job and being so caring.

Had a good first ultrasound at about 8 weeks, however for our 20 week scan we found out from someone else who pre-warned us that my husband wouldn't be able to attend (the clinic never notified us that their policy had changed). I called the clinic and they were largely unhelpful and didn't seem particularly concerned that my husband would not only be not be able to attend the ultrasound to see our baby (his as much as mine) for the 20 week head-to-toe scan, but also wouldn't confirm that they would let me video call or record it for him at all, as they told me their policy is not to allow any technology/phones during the ultrasound - all they would offer is that once it was over they could leave a picture on the screen for me to take a picture of and send to him. Luckily we received the warning from someone else about a week before our appointment so I was able to have time to change my appointment to another company - Mayfair Diagnostics who will not only allow my husband to attend but also offered to provide a USB stick with snapshots of our baby on them (a bit more than the 1 printed pic EFW has offered). Excited for my appointment with another company next week and the chance to see my little one.

Thanks for ruining our first pregnancy by not allowing the father to come to the ultrasounds. I understand restricting so a whole family doesn’t show up for an ultrasound but the father? Seriously? Completely ruining the experience for expecting parents. If I could go elsewhere I would this is completely unacceptable, covid or not.

Extremely bad experience. Arrived 3 minutes late to my appointment and receptionist did not take me in. For an emergency, this is not a fair way to handle a patient. No care what so ever!

I had a student who was very nice and doing her best but the "teacher" was super rude to both us and the student. This was my anatomy scan which is supposed to be the most exciting scan (I would think, it's our first baby) and instead it was and hour and a half of complaining about my baby. And when I asked for a baby pic at the end because throughout the whole appointment we never got to see the baby's head/face so I wasn't sure if she got a pic she said "this is a diagnostic lab not a photo center" and we got a blurry picture of im not even sure what. If you hate babies why are you a radiologist at a place that does OB?

I’ve only been here a few times but have always thought the staff and services were wonderful. I’m sad that I need to switch locations for the remainder of my pregnancy.

Highly recommend!

(Way, WAY better than Mayfair!)

Highly recommend this place for their top-notch equipment and welcoming behaviour. I must compliment the fact that despite meeting hundreds of pregnant women everyday they make sure to congratulate each one and make them feel special. Please keep this up it really makes us want to visit again.
The receptionist was really nice and friendly and our radiologist April walked us through each step teaching us what is what. Kudos!

Bad experience with rude technician. She was 20 mins late, and after she spent 30 mins taking images, she realized that nothing was saved on the computer. Then we had to start over again.

Had a wonderful experience today. Done mammogram with Shelby, she's very helpful and made everything easy for me. Done my breast ultrasound with Amanda, who was very friendly and made sure I am comfortable, had a great time with her. I highly recommend this EFW location.

Bad experience, not very friendly staff. Got placed with a trainee with no guidance whatsoever. Took twice as long as it should have done. What was supposed to be a pleasant experience was a disaster. Now we have to go back again for another 30 minutes what should have been done in one session.

What do we pay our taxes for?
To have half a job done by an unfriendly trainee with no one supervising?

Going to my local Member of parliament tomorrow to ask for advice on this matter. Doesn't seem right to me.

Used to have prenatal ultrasound at other EFW locations, but happened to have my 3rd one at this location. The technical didn't even see my fibroid, which in theory, should be more obvious than it used to be as it's growing. When I followed up with my doctor, he was surprised that my report didn't mention the fibroid at all.am glad it wasn't a diagnostic check-up.

Robyn was both friendly and professional, made me feel comfortable and explained what she was doing. My 8am appointment may have started a minute early, and I was dressed and back in my car in 20 minutes. Hugely appreciate Robyn's demeanor and knowledge.

The staff at Southport EFW are so incredible. I would go out on a limb to say they moved Heaven and Earth at my last appointment. I cant speak highly enough of the care they put into their patients.

For the first time, I have really felt cared for in a radiology center in Calgary. All other centers I have been to (and i have been to a lot) usually keep you waiting for a very long time and the technicians don’t even bother to talk to you mon the less their doctors. But at this center the technician were very nice, answered my questions and their doctor came and talk to me afterwards even though he really didn’t have to.
I am very happy with my experience at this center and highly recommend it.
