EFW Radiology Advanced Medical Imaging Centre

The two receptionists on the first floor displayed a lack of professionalism and were rude in their interactions with patients. Both were on duty on November 8,2023, during the 2 o'clock shift. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain their names. It's important to note that all other receptionists on different floors provided excellent service and were very pleasant.

I walked into the Veterans Place location to 3 very unfriendly faces with nobody saying anything to acknowledge I was standing there. I said good morning to acknowledge them and nobody said it back so I stood there waiting for someone to ask me to come to their desk. One girl said hi like she was waiting for me to come up to her, but if you don’t acknowledge the guests coming into your work place, they’ll stand there until you do rather she made me feel silly for not going right up to the counter. My appointment was rebooked from yesterday to today only to show up and my appointment was booked two weeks out. They did try to see if there was another location available today, my review is not based off the fact I drove there for nothing but more so the terrible customer service. As a medical professional myself who has worked in a front facing role for 10 years, it’s disappointing to see the lack of smiles and warm greeting. The 3 girls at the front on Nov 4 need a lesson in customer service and how to greet patients coming into their work place. I won’t be going back to this location and have cancelled my appointment and will choose a different radiology clinic because of it.

I was there on Nov 3rd 2023,3rd floor (305). I just have a question to the lady who took my blood pressure: “how did you assume my ethnicity? Based on what exactly? ” She went through all the questions, except this one. I just noticed on the paper work she gave me that this question what not asked by her, but she just decided to assume what she thinks.

I love all of the staff here from everyone at reception to all of the techs to all of the Drs. I adore Gariana at the front, she is always so welcoming, super friendly and efficient! I can’t even begin to name all of the Drs and techs that are amazing as there are so many. Everyone here is so amazing, caring and gentle. Thank you to the team!

Receptionist ladies are so nice and welcoming. Lady did my ultrasound is super professional and makes my whole experiences easy and didn’t feel uncomfortable AT ALL! I believe her name is Anna too? But didn’t really get the name of receptionists helped me tonight. THEY ARE AWSOME.

Overall, I would recommend this place, and I’ll come back here if any ultrasound is needed in the future.

The technicians and staff are very friendly, thorough, and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic.

I had to get a few x-rays and MRIs done. The team at this location was amazing. They made sure to explain each step as they did it to make sure I was okay. They made me feel comfortable in the whole process. The service was amazing. I would recommend this location to everyone.

The front desk at 3rd floor was very rude and unfriendly. They did not want us to ask anything. Drs and nurses were good inside for ultrasound but didn't have good experience with the front desk.

Amazing! Super people and work fast. Bent over backwards for me when I came in as the last patient of the day with wrong info on the requisition. It was like private care in the US! It’s been a long time since I experienced this in the socialized and substandard medical care in Canada. Bravo!

I can't believe that happened in country like Canada I late for 10 min of my appointment the cancelled it and give me next appointment after one month. Come on I am patient human everyday I feel pain everyday for all day I need to wait 33 days

Worst experience having prenatal weekly ultrasounds. No professionalism. Very rude staff at times. From the person taking blood pressure to the infrasound techs. Felt like because I look young but am not young I was treated with abuse at this location. Made my pregnancy very stressful and took away the joy of the ultrasounds during a happy exciting pregnancy. Do better. Do not verbally mistreat patients and think it’s acceptable. It’s absolutely not acceptable.

I was very happy with my experience here. I came for an ultrasound. Staff members are very helpful and caring. Really I like everything.

Needed an ultrasound on my wrist. Mayfair was able to get me in on pretty short notice. The wait was short after I arrived and I was in and out in 5 minutes. The entire experience seemed a little rushed. The write up lacked details and mentioned there were no issues. Weeks later the issue persisted and I went to EFW for a second opinion. The appointment took about 25 minutes and the tech was very thorough, explaining everything to me along the way. The following day I was reluctant to finally get answers on the issues with my wrist. Moving forward I will wait the extra few days/weeks for EFW. Overall an excellent experience.

When you park underground, do not register at the kiosk. Just come up and see the reception. They'll register your vehicle.

Need someone to drive you home? The person that drives you has to wait in the hallway with no seating. Way to make a patient feel good before a procedure that involves them not driving home. Such a joke! People need support when visiting your establishment.

I have been waiting for medial branch blocks in my neck. I think I have a septic knee and I know Dr Li said no antibiotics or prednisone for two weeks prior. The injections are Tuesday and so onFriday morning I call to cancel and rebook once the knee is stable. The booking girl insisted there was no problem with the knee infection and that putting a needle in my neck while I might have a systemic infection was not a problem and that antibiotics were also not a problem. She encouraged me to keep the appointments assuring me that having my knee aspirated and treated would not go the neck injections. Frankly I did not trust her level of knowledge and really hope someone of authority calls me back to give me the best instructions. She was very dismissive and tried hard to get me to not cancel the injections. I need help in determining if I did the right thing or not because the booking clerk is just that, a booking clerk and has no technical skills.

This place is huge, easy to get to, lots of parking and staff were extremely friendly and professional. I didn't have to wait more than two minutes, which was so nice.

Whenever I have any health scans required, this is always the location I request appointments at.

It is nice to park underground in a heated space, the signage is clear through the whole building, staff never fail to impress me with how organized and timely appointments run. They are all so professional and they don’t make people wait excessive times!

They also seem to have new diagnostic machines and the doctors on staff review results BEFORE you walk out to make sure you don’t immediately have to repeat the same test (or at least that has been my experience).

Absolutely horrible place. Horrible people working at the front desk, they are so rude and don’t know how to talk to their customers. Management should check on this. This kind of behaviour is not for the business and the customer. People working there should learn how to behave and not behave as if you are doing a favour to the customers. Horrible place, at all circumstances avoid this location, if you wanna save yourself from such people and not spoil your mood by their rudeness and horrible behaviour.

Friendly, efficient & professional. I wish all medical entities in the province conducted themselves in this manner, then we would not be the instituation we are health care wise. Especially in the Edmonton area.
